Chapter 521

“Are you sure you’ll just let him be?” Churu asked as she followed Ethan Lu back to his office .

“Hmm,” He hummed a tune as he smiled to the bowing employees that he passed by . ‘That’s enough for him today . ‘ He added in his mind .

The sole reason Ethan Lu dropped by at Dennis Lu’s office was to let him know that he too was being targeted . Not to mention, Dylan Lu, Dennis Lu’s son, seemed to be involved in it .

Therefore, Ethan Lu had to prepare Dennis Lu for what’s ahead of them . After all, he wouldn’t let everything slip — especially if they kept on dragging Lexi in it .

And by meeting Dennis Lu, he would surely realize that; that he was being used as cannon fodder, and whoever was involved in it, had touched Ethan Lu’s bottom line .

“Even if he stole money from you?” Churu could not understand how Ethan Lu’s mind works . He surely knew what was Dennis Lu had been doing and yet, he hadn’t touched him . Instead, Ethan Lu’s action was merely to put a stop to his uncle’s operation .

‘I’m giving him to Grandpa . He’ll handle his favorite son himself . ‘ Ethan Lu replied through his mind .

Indeed, if it wasn’t for Edward Lu, he would have given Dennis Lu the torture of his life that he would not forget . However, since Edward Lu asked him a favor, how could he reject it?

Thus, he had been lenient and turned a blind eye most of the time . But, if he wanted to, he had exposed Dennis Lu for a long time .

Soon, Churu and Ethan Lu arrived at the floor where his office located . However, instead of going straight to his office, Ethan Lu went directly to Lyrick Jiang’s post .

“Yo,” Ethan Lu knocked on the assistant’s table, snapping him out from his working rhythm .

“Master!” Lyrick Jiang jolted from his seat . He was too immense working on a document that he didn’t notice Ethan Lu’s presence .

“Aren’t you working hard?” Smiling from ear to ear, Ethan Lu teased . “Anyway, can you arrange a meeting with Miss Wang? Preferably, today . ”

“Miss Wang?” Lyrick Jiang’s brows slightly furrowed . He didn’t like that woman .

Lyrick Jiang was never this annoyed to a woman, but to this senator’s daughter, he was . He could tell that Laurel Wang was interested in his master .

After all, the way Laurel Wang interacted with him and the way she looked at Ethan Lu, it was no doubt that she liked him . Hence, if Lyrick Jiang could sense it, Ethan Lu must’ve sensed it as well .

Therefore, Ethan Lu had confronted her by telling her to keep her distance as he already has someone . Fortunately, Laurel Wang seemed to be someone rational because she kept her distance from Ethan Lu .

But now, why does Ethan Lu wanted him to arrange a meeting with Laurel Wang? If he remembered correctly, Ethan Lu’s formal affairs with Laurel Wang was near its end . Hence, there shouldn’t be any major matter to discuss .

“Yes, that woman . ” Ethan Lu just nodded his head before he lightly tapped his knuckles on the desk . “Make sure it’s a formal meeting . ” He added before going back to his office .

Ethan Lu understood Lyrick Jiang’s train of thoughts more than anyone . Hence, to give him peace of mind, Ethan Lu has to say his last remark .

“Who is Miss Wang? Who is that~?” Confused, Churu wrinkled her spotless forehead as she tilted her head to the side . Since she was gone when Lexi called earlier, and she returned to the heavenly realm when Ethan Lu officially took over the Lu Corporation, this name was new to her .

‘A woman that someone looked like me is kissing . ‘ Ethan Lu answered without a pause, throwing Churu to a pool of confusion .

‘What?! Kissing?!’

“Chacha, your spying mission isn’t done yet because . . . ” As soon as Ethan Lu closed the door behind him, he ignored Churu’s question and immediately headed to his desk .

Ethan Lu then picked up a spare phone inside the drawer . Upon turning it on, messages came flooding its inbox .

Meanwhile, Churu was curious thus, she flew closer to the phone and read the short message that came from the contact name Lou . The message Churu read was just a single capital letter “K”

“You have to follow him . ” Just then, Ethan Lu glanced at Churu and gave out her next mission .

“You mean, Louis Lu?” Knitting her nonexistent brows, Churu narrowed her eyes as she stared back . Of course, she remembered him, the weird cousin of Ethan Lu .

It was then the time when Churu bid her goodbye to Lexi when Louis Lu’s character came into the picture . Seeing that Lexi and Ethan Lu were doing well, Churu assumed that that suspicious cousin wasn’t bad news .

“You know him?”

“Duh? I’m Lexi’s former guide . ” In a matter-of-fact tone, Churu rolled her eyes . “What about him?”

“He’ll lead you to someone, someone whose real colors I haven’t seen . ” Upon uttering those words, Ethan Lu’s grip onto the phone tightened .

Deep down, his instinct told him that there was something with Lincoln Lu that more than meets the eye . He doesn’t know exactly but, Ethan Lu’s instincts were always right .

He already had this thought in mind for a long time . However, Ethan Lu didn’t know how to expose his real colors as he was more discreet than anyone . But now that he has Churu, Ethan Lu finally has a way to see deeper .

“Okie doks~” Churu shrugged her shoulders . “Just don’t get in trouble while I’m away — remember, BOL . ” Raising her tiny finger up, Churu reminded .

“Mhmm . . . the battle of life . ” Ethan Lu nodded his head in understanding before returning his attention back to this boring paperwork .

His enemies were coming from left and right . Fortunately, he had an added ally which was ten times more reliable than anyone, even better than him .

Therefore, Ethan Lu mustn’t waste time as he needed to step in his game . Or else, not just him, but everybody he held dearly would fall to his enemies trap .
