Chapter 547

Not long after, Churu heard footsteps . The sound of it didn’t seem that close to the room, but she was certain that the sound was heading in Morris Liu’s direction . Thinking that it was probably the nurse making rounds, Churu slowly drew away from him .

Looking down, she could clearly see her naked body . Yet, Churu didn’t dwell on the lack of cover, but her attention was to her barely flawed skin . Her gaze traveled from her fingers, hands, arms, and then to her bare breast and toned tummy .

“How can this be…?” Churu murmured, as she touched her left hand with her right hand . She could still hear the footsteps from the elevator that was now heading in this room . “What is going on?” she whispered as the footsteps drew closer and closer until it briefly stopped in front of the door .

Soon, the door carefully slid open . The nurse glanced to the bed where Morris Liu lied — no one was there aside from him . Slowly, the nurse closed the door behind her and headed to the patient . Checking his IV drip, the nurse proceeded to check his condition with discretion .

It only took her several minutes before she was done and left . When the door opened and closed once again, Churu heard the footsteps outside drew farther from the room . Hence, Churu snuck her head out from behind the curtain .

She scanned the obscure room and after she was certain that no one was around, she slowly headed to the door and locked it . Although Churu was sure that no one would drop by in this place, she wanted to be extra sure .

After all, she’s still naked . Fortunately, the temperature inside this room was bearable . Still, Churu was rather conflicted as she didn’t know what to do? Should she call Ethan Lu or Lexi? But she didn’t know their phone numbers!

There wasn’t a need for her to know such details as Churu didn’t expect these phenomena . However, now that it has all been said and done, Churu was pushed in this kind of dilemma .

Glancing at the stable Morris Liu, Churu heavily sighed . Slowly, she strode and stopped beside the sleeping Morris Liu . She could not understand why she was having a strong connection with this man .

Earlier, when Churu tried to calm him down, not only she felt a strong energy between them but the pain she had borne for thousands of years healed a tiny bit . Regardless how little that relief period she felt, it was the very first time she felt relieved .

Lexi’s facial masks though were helpful, it couldn’t be compared when she was close with Morris Liu . Hence, Churu carefully slid under the blanket and lied next to him . Just as she thought, she could only feel this kind of relief when they were skin to skin .

Shameless as she was, Churu squeezed herself to his side even more as her arms snaked on his lean waist . “Feels good…” she whispered before she closed her eyes and succumbed to her slumber .

Meanwhile . . .

A dreading silence dawned on a private diner as Avah Tong set her eyes across the man before her . Dennis Lu bore zero expression as the two gravitated the air surrounding them .

“What do you want?” Dennis Lu frowned, evidently displeased about her sudden return . He didn’t want to go around in circles because there was no point in beating around the bush .

“Do I need to want something else to see you?” Avah Tong arched her right brow . In contrast of what Dennis Lu expected, she was rather calm .

“If you want child support, I can give you that . Just go far away from here . ” Blunt and harsh as he may sound, however, Dennis Lu didn’t need to sugarcoat his words as he was used to being blunt and honest to her .

For a moment, Avah Tong swallowed as she blinked her eyes and stared at him . She had been her sugar baby for a long time hence, whether or not she wanted it, she discovered a few habits of him .

She also somehow could tell if he was lying or not . Therefore, after careful observation, Dennis Lu seemed he didn’t know about the child .

To Avah Tong’s knowledge, since her relationship with Ethan Lu was a huge epic fail and Ethan Lu’s embarrassment for being cuckold, all information regarding that incident wasn’t known to others . Avah Tong guessed that even Dennis Lu didn’t know about it either .

After all, if he had her child in his custody, there would be hints . But, the man across her, aside from his worries on his life being ruined if his past affair got exposed, Avah Tong could not find any small hints of Dennis Lu knowing the whereabouts of their son .

So, does that mean the person who called earlier might be the person who has her son?

“No,” brushing all thoughts behind her, Avah Tong picked up the cup of slightly hot tea and took a sip . “Why would I go far away? What’s the need?” She asked as she placed down the tea and raised her head .

His pair of unappreciative eyes grew gloomier upon hearing her response . “Then what do you want? Ruin my life?” He asked, his frown getting worse by the second .

Avah Tong went on silent mode again yet, she kept her calm demeanor . Her eyes stared at his for quite some time before the corner of her lips curled upward .

“Like I said, do I have any other reasons to see you? I want to see you, that’s all . ” Suddenly, Avah Tong’s tone turned coquettish as her foot under the table stroked his .

In an instant, Dennis Lu’s shoulder stiffened, sensing the sensual caress of her foot on his shin . Gulping down, he tried to calm his libido down .

Despite his easily aroused libido, he cleared his throat and shrugged her foot away from him . “Avah, if you think you can get me by acting sweet, I won’t fall for it . ” Dennis Lu exclaimed, convincing Avah Tong and himself .

“You won’t?” Resting her jaw by the back of her hand, the side of Avah Tong’s lips curled into a coquettish smirk .
