The Great Thief Chapter 880 – Teebu's Blazing Longsword
Translator: Halcyon Translations Editor: Halcyon Translations
“This is for you.”
It was hard for Lonesome Flower to say anything more – he wanted to keep his pride intact, but his actions sold him out.
His sister already had her T0 set, and he didn’t want to fall behind.
Remnant Dream looked at the 50 gold coins in the trade bar and felt pressured.
“Flower, I’ve already earned enough today. This… mmm, I can’t take it.”
“It’s okay – take it. Even if you don’t loot the item, it’s fine too. Use this to buy some good crocodile meat for your pet. Look at your pets; they’re so skinny,” Lonesome Flower urged, his expression unchanging. It was rare to see him say something like this.
Remnant Dream hesitated, but she still took it in the end.
She wasn’t greedy; she barely had any clue about how valuable money was. She had never exchanged gold for real dollars, and was a typical child from a well-off family.
As she began to loot the body, everyone stared intensely at her hands.
With a quick motion, she pulled out an equipment.
“Malone’s Slam – a Gold tier hammer. It’s not part of the set,” Remnant Dream sighed as her shoulders drooped. “Flower, I’ll return your coins to you.”
“It’s fine. Keep them – it’s not much.”
Lonesome Flower didn’t want to hurt the little girl, so he acted as if he didn’t care. The first item was a Gold grade, so it was most likely that the second would be a Silver. After all, this was a minor, side boss.
“Who wants it?” Remnant Dream asked as she shared the details of Malone’s Slam.
This immediately sent everyone into a laughing frenzy, because the special effect of this equipment was hilarious – “Knocks target silly for 2 seconds and increases Strength by 50 for 30 seconds.”

Not only did the designers make a Boss that parodied a sports player, but even this weapon was a joke.
It was easy to understand ‘Stun’, or even ‘Paralysis’, but what did it mean to knock the target silly?
“Let me try this hammer on you. Let’s see if I can knock you silly,” Azure Sea Breeze said seriously as he packed away his shield and changed it to the hammer. Wandering rolled his eyes and couldn’t even be bothered to reply to his stupidity.
The Attributes of this hammer were decent, but it still wasn’t good enough for Lu Li and the others.
Since Azure Sea Breeze wanted it, they gave it to him as a toy. The special effect was suitable for his personality anyway.
As expected, the second equipment was a Silver grade.
Lonesome Flower continued to pretend as if he was indifferent to the situation, and no one mentioned it either. After the dungeon was explored, plenty of elite groups would come in to repeat it. When the item dropped, he would be able to exchange his unwanted lower-level equipment for it. After all, a level 50 set wasn’t that easy to collect anyway.
“Let me steal off the next monster first,” Lu Li said as he looked at the Blacksmith shop to his left.
“Steal off the monster? why?” Azure Sea Breeze was confused – why was he stealing from a small monster? Why didn’t he start stealing from the beginning of the dungeon?
“Among these Undead, one of them might be a Blacksmith. One of the books hinted that he might have collected an exquisite sword,” Lu Li explained.
“How good is it?” Wandering asked.
He knew that Lu Li was someone of character and wouldn’t do anything random. If Lu Li stole off each monster one by one, they would definitely waste a lot of time. He subconsciously thought that this sword might even be a Legendary equipment.

To everyone’s surprise, Lu Li shook his head.
“No. This sword isn’t exquisite at all, but it’s very valuable. Very, very…”
When they heard this, everyone began to anticipate what was about to happen.
They were curious as to what made this sword “very, very, very” valuable.
This sword was called Teebu’s Blazing Longsword!
After Qual’Thalas had been destroyed, the remaining High Elves referred to themselves as Blood Elves in remembrance of their lost comrades. They placed their hopes in the Alliance, hoping one day to possibly reclaim their homeland.
However, after they saw the downfall of the Alliance, the Blood Elf Prince, Kael’thas Sunstrider, became disappointed in them.
Finally, their natural desire for magic caused them to join Illidan. They followed him out of Azeroth and into the unknown.
There, the Blood Elves encountered countless demons and other evil forces, losing many of their members.
To keep the rest of their kind from danger, Teeb’los Fireleaf, a high-tier Bloodmage with Kael’thas, decided to cast a strong, but fearful spell. It was a spell that sacrificed a life for a Legendary item.
With the approval from Kael’thas, Teeb’los began to chant the spell that had been written in an ancient language. His body was immediately engulfed by the red flames after he had finished his chant.
As Teeb’los’ life ended, a long sword was born within the flames that consumed him. In remembrance of him, Kael’thas named this sword after him – ‘Teebu’s Blazing Longsword’.
In the times that came after, Kael’thas used this sword to protect his fragile Blood Elf comrades.
In the battle where Illidan attacked the Frozen Throne and was defeated by Arthas, the Blood Elves and the Nagas retreated quickly into the unknown.
Teebu’s Blazing Longsword lost its powerful magic and became an average longsword.
The sword was abandoned by Kael’thas and eventually fell into the hands of a Blacksmith in Stratholm.
Countless bards had heard stories of it and travelled great distances to see it in real life – a sword that had been crafted with the life of an Archmage.
“Can it be repaired?” Wandering was interested as he was sword-user.
“No,” Lu Li said as he shook his head, then added,” The Attributes of this weapon are quite average and the incredible special effects that it once had have already been lost.”
“****, just tell me the whole story already.”
Fortunatley, Azure Sea Breeze’s passion laid in collecting shields. Lonesome Flower and Sesame Rice Ball were only interested in collecting high-end equipment. Although Lu Li could use swords, it seemed like he only liked gold coins and his sister.
“This sword seems to be covered in flames. The books claimed that it was the leader of the four great lightsabers. The aristocrats who loved to showoff came many times to Stratholme for the sword, and some even thought about taking it by force. However, they were all weary of each other, so none of them took any action in the end.”
Lightsaber…
“What do you mean showoff?” Wandering asked, then urged Lu Li, “Go steal it – I’ll give you money when you come back.”
For the sake of Wandering and his showoff career, Lu Li snuck up in Stealth mode to steal from these monsters. On his way there, he could even hear Wandering mutter, “If people don’t showoff, what’s the point of living in the first place?”
Fortunately, he had already learnt Empowerment: Stealth. The monsters didn’t even realize Lu Li was nearby, even those who claimed to be able to detect almost anything.
Stealing from these monsters usually gave you a heavy box. Anything could drop from these boxes, but most of the items were indeed rubbish.
However, Teebu’s Blazing Longsword was also hidden amongst the trash.

How The Weak Live
This was a rough draft. Quite a meh one. The newer version is These Games of Ours. ---------- Lucious is deserter among many, living by dagger and beggary. Argento’s thirst for knowledge is endless, as is his belly. Kora is the perfect soldier, yet her sword grows dull in monotony. Formally known as the Empire's legend, the Captain is now stuck in stagnation. The Gods, grown weary of human deeds, have decided to indulge themselves in a different way. -------------- THE 7 REALLY IMPORTANT STUFF Clichés shall be avoided like the cancerous tumors they are. The world shall not spread its pink butt cheeks for the main character’s convenience. No character shall be thinner than one slice of white American cheese. No female character shall serve to highlight how overpowered and fabulous the main character is. No villain shall serve to highlight how overpowered and fabulous the main characters are. Grammar laws shall be upheld sometimes. I, the author, swear not to be a prick. I, the author, swear not to go away without warning. If other LitRPGs are like Skyrim, then this is going to be a combination of Dark Souls and Total War. Don't expect action for the sake of action. Be warned, this is a slow novel. Read the reviews to see if this novel is a decent fit for you. Disclaimer: I do not own that gorgeous cover art.
