The Great Thief Chapter 982 – War Zone

Moonlight reacted the fastest and charged towards the enemy healer, stabbing him multiple times. The Healer wasn’t a professional player, so under the relentless attack of Lu Li and Her Tears, he was instantly killed.
The rest of them also fell one after another in a matter of 30 seconds.
“Don’t go out any further; just stay here and guard the room,” Lu Li said, stopping his teammates. Their main goal was not to kill as many players as they could, but to prevent the Horde players from disrupting their quest.
In reality, he was afraid of running into a group of professional players.
It would be fine if he was alone because he could just Stealth and escape away from the fight. However, since he was with his party, he couldn’t just leave them behind.
Even though the professional players usually got along quite well and seemed to be on good terms, if there was an opportunity to attack and embarrass him to gain a bit of fame, no one would let it slip away.
They had to take their job more seriously than friendship.
“Cover your faces. Don’t let the them recognize who we are,” Lu Li said to the others.
Moonlight took out a bandana and covered his face, along with Mu Qiu and Her Tears.
As for the players that they had just killed, they could only pray that they didn’t recognize them. Otherwise they would announce it to the whole Horde community and summon everyone to kill them.
Another group of players entered and Moonlight immediately greeted them by Charging towards them, then casted Whirlwind. Lu Li and Her Tears immediately killed the enemy Healer and quickly finished off the party of 20 to 30 players.

If they didn’t have the positional advantage, they would be no way they could go up against thirty and barely suffer so much as a scratch.
“Boss, something seems off outside.”
Mu Qiu looked outside as he was healing back up and saw that quite a few players had gathered, but no one dared to enter. There were probably a total of forty to fifty people, excluding the Thieves that were in Stealth.
“How you guys doing inside?” Lu Li asked in party chat.
“Almost done. Just hold on for a bit longer,” Azure Sea Breeze said, trying to encourage Lu Li. He was feeling quite frustrated as well because if it weren’t for the Horde players outside, they probably would have finished the Boss by now.
Lu Li thought about it and decided to risk it.
“You guys go up and help out. We’re running away as soon as we get the loot.”
He could’ve called for backup from Ruling Sword, but it was too late for that now.
When Moonlight returned to the Boss fight, Lu Li decided to venture out of the Ogre Castle and carefully approached the group of Horde players.
“Careful! There’s an enemy Thief around us!” a Horde player shouted upon seeing one of his Priests get stunned.
They knew that a group of Alliance players had entered the Ogre castle, but they were unsure as to how many of them there were. The two group of players they had sent before were scouts. Since they were instantly killed, they knew that they were up against powerful enemies.
The Horde players stayed alert in case a group of Thieves appeared out of nowhere.
When the Stun duration was up, nothing happened for a while. However, as they were about to make their move on the Ogre Castle again, a Mage near the back of the formation was Stunned again. The Horde players began panicking and casted a flurry of spells towards the area he standing at.

It happened again, before someone finally realized what Lu Li was trying to do.
“Ignore him – let’s go in before they get away! This guy is trying to waste our time!”
“Crap!” Upon also realizing, they all stampeded into the Ogre Castle.
They thought that the Alliance players were trying to kill the Lv45 main Ogre Boss and would take quite a while to defeat him. However, they were nowhere to be found
When they arrived at Grel’borg the Miser’s room, there was nothing left besides his corpse.
It was as if the Alliance players were never there.
Lu Li’s team had also managed to obtain the Star of Xil’yeh from Grel’borg the Miser. Their next target was the Ogre Shaman, Mogh the Undying in Stranglethorn. He was located on a hill near the Ruins of Aboraz.
There were quite a few annoying quests in Dawn that required the players to run around the entire world; “The Star, the Hand and the Heart” was one of these. However, the worst part was that all the places were war zones. Stranglethorn was similar to Hillsbrad Hill because there were many of PvP maniacs hunting players from the other faction.
If casual players found out that their quest required them to travel to Stranglethorn, they would often choose to abandon it.
Lu Li was no casual player though.
Ruling Swords had plenty of PvP fanatics on their side who would often travel to Stranglethorn to practice their skills. Moonlight, Fat Monkey, Her Tears, Machine Bro and Bai Renyou were all there already.
They immediately left their battles and gathered at the coordinates that Lu Li had sent.
Very quickly, a group of up to a thousand players from Ruling Sword had gathered.
The Horde players began avoiding them because only a powerful Horde Major Guild could go up against such a formidable force of players. It would be stupid to try to and even challenge them in any way.
In a short amount of time, the Ruins of Aboraz became swarmed with Ruling Sword players.
When Lu Li arrived, he did not see a single Horde player. He found his target and easily defeated him, completing the quest. It would have taken a lot more effort and time if he didn’t have an entire guild to back him up.
He obtained the Legacy Heart which was the “heart” in the “The Star, The Hands and The Heart” quest.
The third target that he needed to kill wasn’t in a Horde infested map. However, it was equally difficult to obtain.
The Hand of Dagun came from Dagun the Ravenous. If it wasn’t because of the background story from the quest description, it would be impossible to find him. This was because he could only be summoned from an altar with Enchanted Sea Kelp.
However, Lu Li knew that the NPCs would prepare the way for him and Hachi Chan. All they had to do was travel to the beach next to Dustwallow Marsh and prepare to kill their target.
