The Great Thief Chapter 1005 – Blackrock Spire Celebrity Group

Woosh!
An arrow shot into the head of a Gnome, dealing200 points of damage.
The Gnome player was caught by surprise as he noticed that they had been surrounded discreetly.
This was definitely karma – they had ambushed people just before, and now it was their turn. However, the people that were ambushing them this time were clearly stronger and more organized.
“Friend, the items are with this person. We’ll pass him to you guys now,” the Gnome said as he pointed at Lu Li.
He had to lay low because they were the weaker party. If he had enough people, he might consider a fight, but the difference was too great in strength and numbers. He could only hope to make it out alive.
The Thief with a printed mask opened her mouth, but her words were violent.
“Kill them!”
In almost an instant, stored-up spells were sent flying across the battlefield. The players from Knight’s Glory were barely prepared for a battle.
Soon, the ground was filled with corpses.
Lu Li had escaped during confusion and was calmly looking onto the massacre that could have been avoided. He approved of what Drizzle Court had done because he would have done the same.
“You…alright?”
Lu Li was still a little panther while Water Fairy bent over him from above. This was a very awkward position, so he quickly changed into his human form.
The others then realized why they were in such a rush, because the one they were saving was Lu Li.
“Your stuff,” Lu Li said as he handed the item to Water Fairy. He didn’t have to worry about whether she could keep the item. With the number of players that she had with her, there wouldn’t be anyone who would dare to try kill and her.

“Thanks.” Water Fairy smiled; she seemed pleased by the item.
“If there’s nothing else, I’m going to train.”
Lu Li hadn’t obtained anything else besides the gratitude of Water Fairy from this.
“Are you joining the Blackrock Spire Celebrity Group?” Water Fairy asked.
“Not sure yet. We’ll see.”
Lu Li wasn’t surprised that Water Fairy would ask him this. The Blackrock Spire Celebrity Group had caught a lot of attention ever since it had been announced.
“Don’t tell me you’re planning to turn down the gaming company,” Water Fairy continued.
The Blackrock Spire Celebrity Group could be seen as an event for major guilds with clubs, supported by the gaming company itself.
After Stratholme, there were a number of other dungeons that appeared for players to complete.
What Water Fairy meant was if Lu Li intended on not participating in the event, and instead take his own men to complete the dungeon faster than all the other major guilds. This didn’t seem like an impossible task at all for Lu Li.
Ruling Sword had the strongest Main Tank, Azure Sea Breeze, the best healer, March Rain, and the most-skilled commander, Lu Li.
“Of course not,” Lu Li said as he shook his head. “Even if we’re not participating in it, we’d still aim for the Scholomancer dungeon first. We’re not so silly as to play against all the clubs.”
Ruling Sword required a method to make themselves famous when they first formed and needed others to approve of their strength. That was why at the time, he didn’t mind playing against other major guilds. However, now that they had already set their foundation, there was no need for him to do this any longer.
Just the Gangnam Royals alone were enough trouble for Ruling Sword. If they gave an excuse for all the other guilds to gang up on them, they would be in big trouble.

Not to mention, these kind of yearly events usually had something to do with the gaming company itself. Playing against the gaming company was just silly since Dawn had yet to reach the stage where it could run independently.
“I’ve decided to participate in the Blackrock Spire Celebrity Group. If you join too, I think there’d be no spots left for Blood Dagger,” Water Fairy said.
“I’ll think about it. Try and take more dumplings,” Lu Li dismissed as he waved his hand, summoned his mount and rode off.
Water Fairy watched as Lu Li went away, until he disappeared along the horizon.
“Stop looking; he’s already long gone. You might as well chase after him,” Deadly Green Orange from Drizzle Court giggled.
“What are you on about,” Water Fairy mumbled in embarrassment.
“Lu Li’s not bad at all. He’s at the peak,” Deadly Green Orange said. The first time that she heard about Lu Li was when he had taken the First Clear for the Spider’s Lair as a nobody.
Within such a short amount of time, Lu Li had earned himself a super-club already.
“What’s the peak?” Star Baby asked curiously.
“To rise to position, get good pay, become the manager, become the CEO, marry a hottie… That’s the peak…” Deadly Green Orange said wistfully. Her tone went a little weird when she mentioned marrying a hottie.
“If you’ve got so much time to spare, do you want to help Starry level up?” Water Fairy glared.
Starry was a player from Drizzle Court who really enjoyed gossiping. The amount of talking she could do was beyond imaginable and helping her level up was seen as the harshest punishment in Drizzle Court.
Deadly Green Orange’s face went pale as she covered her mouth and looked like she was about to cry. Her expression quickly changed to one of innocence.
She would shut up if this is a forbidden topic, but there was no need to threaten people. Water Fairy was the one fooling herself anyway.
“But, if Lu Li was willing to join the Blackrock Spire Celebrity Group, he’d be the commander right?” Deadly Green Orange asked.
“That depends. If Sorrowless goes too…” Water Fairy shook her head. She wasn’t too hopeful about Lu Li being the commander. The process would be live-streamed and the commander would gain a lot of personal reputation from it.
“Glory Capital had lost so many times to Ruling Sword already, and most of the First Clears belong to Ruling Sword too. Does he have the audacity to command?”
“If you ask the players to vote, who’d you think they’d vote for?”
Deadly Green Orange went quiet. Without a doubt, the answer would be Sorrowless. No matter how amazing Lu Li was, he was only amazing within this game. Sorrowless, on the hand, was a legendary figure in the gaming industry.
