The Great Thief Chapter 1134 – The Great Warrior

The top eight was starting to get serious and any club would give it their best.
Not only did the live-streaming cost a huge fee, but what really attracted spokespeople and advertising jobs was also the performance in these matches. For example, Ruling Sword’s battle against Blue Universe was a classic, but it didn’t have such a huge impact on the fans.
Against a top club like Peerless City, Moonlight would be the safest Bet.
Deadly Golden Underwear!
After Lu Li saw who was sent out first, he couldn’t help but smile.
The opponents probably thought that he was going to come out first. Berserkers did have an advantage against Thieves, but they probably didn’t expect Ruling Sword to send out a Berserker first as well. This meant that they would be playing by their own power and nothing else.
Without a doubt, Peerless City was a little greedy to send out Deadly Golden Underwear. They probably wanted to perform better in the one-on-one battles.
With the class difference between Warriors and Thieves at this point, Lu Li really wasn’t too sure if he could win against Deadly Golden Underwear. Even if he could win, it would be tough and would cost him more than half of his health.
An unbalanced game would not attract more players.
Unfortunately, Lu Li didn’t appear first as Peerless City had hoped.
If they hadn’t been so greedy and sent out their Mage, Half Cigarette, Moonlight would be in some trouble.
Now that everyone had obtained more skills and upgraded their equipment, the specialty of all classes began to show. Theoretically, Mages did counter plated-Warriors, but it still depended on their technique.
Peerless City was disappointed, but the players weren’t.
All the Warriors in the audience seats yelled and shouted as if they had been injected with adrenaline. They looked like they were ready to jump in and help with the battle themselves.
For these passionate Warriors, this was a feast for their eyes.
The best players of each class had been a common and popular topic in the forums.
In the usual threads, Gaze was often regarded as the best Warrior.
There was always an ongoing debate about who was better between Moonlight and Gaze, and Deadly Golden Underwear also had his own supporters. Now that they were matched up against each other on such a formal stage, everyone felt like their tickets were worth it.

The match began with an open encounter. Moonlight and Deadly Golden Underwear had battled each other a few times already in the past and knew each other inside out. Even players who couldn’t understand their techniques found this match interesting.
Both of the analysts were either current competitors or competitors of the past, so most of their analysis was on point.
Hence, the players began to understand that Moonlight had the upper hand.
The reason for his advantage wasn’t because of his level or equipment. Although he had excellent equipment, he often unnecessarily involved himself in PVP battles. Not only did this cause him to lose his equipment, but it also caused him to lose his Experience points. This was why he was never found amongst the top 50 on the level rankings.
Every competitor had their own style. Moonlight was wild and learned many things through his own battles, so Lu Li never tried to stop him.
From Lu Li’s memories of his previous life, Moonlight had done way too many crazy things. He fought against professional competitors and even took on guilds by himself. It seemed as if he was finding all sorts of different ways to commit suicide.
However, he never dropped back to level 0 and managed to produce miracles each time.
How could Lu Li possibly try and stop him from his growth?
On top of this, Deadly Golden Underwear’s technique and reaction time were still inferior to Moonlight’s.
When Moonlight’s health dropped to about 2/3, Deadly Golden Underwear had already lost half of his health. His fans were emotional, but they couldn’t stop the situation from tilting towards Moonlight’s favor.
However, Lu Li and Cat Dad weren’t too optimistic about the whole situation. Cat Dad pointed towards the stage and said, “The best situation would be an equal outcome. Deadly Golden Underwear has a risky play style; he’s going to get more aggressive later.”
“Mmmm,” Lu Li agreed half-heartedly while watching, then said, “But I’m confident about Moonlight. He hasn’t disappointed us before.”
like Deadly Golden Underwear had received some sort of passive skill from a quest in the past. After his health dropped to 20%, his attack and movement speed were boosted based on his health level. His Lifesteal would also be increased greatly.
This was no secret; he had used it a few times already before and its effects were publicly known.

Lu Li wasn’t sure how Moonlight was going to deal with it, but he believed that he wouldn’t fight a battle where he had no chance. Moonlight also seemed to want the best player title in his class, so he knew more about Deadly Golden Underwear than anyone else.
As Deadly Golden Underwear’s health continued to drop, his passive effect finally began to show.
Lu Li’s eyes still shifted as he saw this skill with his own eyes. He couldn’t help but think about how he would deal with this if he was to replace Moonlight in this situation.
He could only draw the conclusion that he would die if he tried to fight this head on. He could only use his strong control skills to slowly wear out his opponent’s health and escape when he retaliated.
This wasn’t a very honorable play style and if it wasn’t carefully executed, he could get easily get killed instead.
Moonlight didn’t back off, but moved his feet and dashed behind Deadly Golden Underwear.
In a virtual game where they couldn’t pass through each other’s bodies, this move really challenged his techniques. Of course, there were skills that allowed players to do this, but for Moonlight, this was a move that he pulled out from his battle experience.
His next action was really an eye opener for everyone.
The handle of his axe spun opposite ways and landed behind Deadly Golden Underwear’s head, successfully knocking out his opponent for a second. This seemed to be the special effect of his axe. Then, Moonlight began to show everyone how a Berserker could control their opponent.
Although Berserkers didn’t have as many control skills as Thieves, they were enough to incapacitate someone for a while.
After Deadly Golden Underwear regained his movement, he began his counterattack only to discover that his opponent had jumped up. Not only did this cause him to miss his spell, but he now had to catch up to his opponent.
However, he was speechless when he discovered that Moonlight was running incredibly fast.
In fact, in order to deal with him specifically, Moonlight went ahead and borrowed Her Tear’s boots. The boots gave him a 25% movement speed boost with a jump effect. The boots weren’t useful for damage output, but they definitely gave a lot of mobility.
After Moonlight created some distance, he used his Flawless Arcanite Rifle from Lu Li and shot it at Deadly Golden Underwear.
Around 1-200 points of damage floated up above his head.
Was this really a Warrior?
Some Hunters probably wouldn’t even be able to pull this off. They had no clue how good the snipe effect of the Flawless Arcanite Rifle was. It dealt a set 300 points of damage to the target, and even if a part of it was deducted by armor, there would still be around 200 points of damage left.
It was rare for current players in the game to have a weapon with this effect.
Of course, it would be unrealistic for a Warrior to try and kite another Warrior to death. Not to mention, the snipe effect had a cooldown.
Deadly Golden Underwear continued to chase Moonlight in an attempt to Lifesteal health through his attacks. At the same moment, Moonlight turned around for a counterattack.
His axe shone brightly as he casted his signature skill – Whirlwind.
Now, two options laid before Deadly Golden Underwear. He could either run, or fight head on with Moonlight in the Whirlwind. Time didn’t allow him to think for too long, and he almost ran subconsciously, only to discover another awkward situation after he ran out of the Whirlwind range.
He had a lot of Lifesteal at this point, possibly more than Lu Li. If he was given the chance, he could probably steal half of his health back.
However, this required him to deal damage first!
Now that he had taken a few hits from Whirlwind, his health was so low that he would probably die to the slightest touch.
It seemed like Moonlight understood this too, so he charged towards Deadly Golden Underwear fearlessly. It was a competition to see whether Moonlight could attack faster than Deadly Golden Underwear could Lifesteal.
Obviously, Moonlight’s attacks were faster. He wasn’t short on burst skills and Deadly Golden Underwear never got the chance to properly use his passive before he died.
Deadly Golden Underwear might have been a little weaker than Moonlight, but the gap wasn’t too large at all.
Moonlight had around 30% health remaining when the match ended, and on a stage like this, it was a complete victory.

Such a simple bet, but to them, it was like a declaration of war. Being two of the most stubborn individuals on the planet that saw loss as a personal offense, they made this last bet before cutting off their friendship due to some... complicated matters(Don't worry It'll get explained in the book). The problem was, that one was super talented at the game, and the other was super shit. This story revolves around that player. No, not the talented one, the shit one. Hated by many for his rather "uncouth" strategies (one of which included hitting a guy in the back of the head with a wooden board, stealing all his stuff and leaving him stark naked in the middle of the woods), his name is Jack. Oh, and did I mention he's a min-Maxed for health which drives people insane? Unfortunately, as luck would have it, he stumbles upon the worst possible hidden class for him. Warrior of Glass. A class with insanely high attack power... and insanely low HP. He's also given a quest to retrieve a sword in the middle of the Ashen Forest (lovingly nicknamed "Suicide Woods" by the players) and another quest to kill 7 insanely powerful demon lords that roam the lands so he can fulfill his predecessor's legacy. Now, armed only with a veeery high damage output, an unbendable will of steel and his almost nonexistent sense of guilt (emphasis on almost), he still aims to become the #1 player. This time, with some serious handicaps.
