“See that? You gave up on a good deal. Now the price has increased; 50 gold for one Azsharite Cystal,” the Warrior player laughed coldly. He didn’t think that Lu Li would be an important person, otherwise, he wouldn’t be out here buying materials himself. He could just wave his hand and his minions would do it for him.
“What mercenary group are you from?” Lu Li asked, feeling troubled. This was the problem of keeping a low profile.
He was a Thief, and his class destined him to be low profile. As someone who had reincarnated, it was best for him to grow rich silently. His personality was also a part of the reason; the slums were always filled with dead people. Those who died first were always the ones who made a name for themselves.
“Polar Bear mercenary group!” the Warrior declared proudly.
“Never heard of you guys.”
Lu Li was being truthful; he hadn’t heard of them in this life or his previous life. Either their mercenary group was too small, or they had upset someone of power and disappeared before Lu Li entered the game.
“Okay, let’s fight one on one!”
The Warrior was confident. Lu Li was a Thief and his equipment didn’t look too expensive, so he was certain that he would win.
“Sure, it’s just a few steps anyway,” Lu Li said as he packed away his store and walked out of the camp.
He had set his store near the edge of the camp, so it was only a few steps for him to the border of the safety zone. Players could battle freely in the wild and the sentries wouldn’t even pay the slightest attention to them, unless it was a battle on a large scale that might threaten the campsite.
Following the standard procedure, Lu Li went into Stealth and disappeared before the Warrior. The Warrior positioned himself step-by-step, as if he was going to catch Lu Li with his superior Detection abilities.
If he had more time, he would have played around a little, but Lu Li was in a hurry to do his quest.

With a full rotation of skills, the Warrior died, despite his two attempts in trying to escape from Lu Li’s crowd-control.
Lu Li thought that he had solved his problem, now that he had shown that he wasn’t an easy target.
“Alright, nice one. Let’s wait and see. If anyone sells him Azsharite Crystals, then they’re enemies to the thousands of us brothers from Polar Bear mercenary group. It won’t just be the Azsharite Cystals; they won’t even be able to step out their door anymore,” the Warrior said spitefully. He was clearly hot tempered; he had only just run back from his revival point and was already threatening the public.
How were there so many idiots these days? Despite the game environment being different to real life, they couldn’t go around thinking that they were invincible either.
Lu Li continued to set up his store as he contacted Square Root 3.
A few minutes later, the boss of the Polar Bear mercenary group appeared before Lu Li, and the Warrior was still there threatening random players who sold Azsharite Crystals for a living.
“Shut up, will you!?” the boss roared as he ran over. He was tempted to shred the Warrior’s mouth into pieces.
Although the boss often thought that the Warrior talked a little too much, who would have thought that he would cause such trouble someday? At the time, the boss was helping a rich boy level his account. They were a mercenary group of thousands of players and they took up any kind of work. Helping someone level was a common job.
The rich boy sat under a tree and had a pretty Priest girl keeping him company.
This was the difference in hierarchy. Even though they were all formed of the same flesh and blood, they were destined to be different from the moment they were born. They must have slipped and accidentally chosen the Nightmare mode dungeon when they reincarnated.
Fortunately, they came at the right time and Dawn allowed these mercenary group members to earn an income that would shock the average nine-to-five workers.
As they were casting spells on a group of monsters, the messenger device of the boss rang. He thought it was a customer, but to his surprise, it was the guild master of Ruling Sword, Square Root 3.

The real owner of Ruling Sword was Lu Li. He was the one who called the shots for this major guild that didn’t accept any investments. Some thought that Square Root 3 was just a sidekick, but even if he was, he was a sidekick for Ruling Sword. Their small mercenary group wouldn’t ever have a chance to come across someone like this.
“Have your people leave Azsharite,” Square Root 3 said simply. He didn’t even add the boss as a friend.
Although his tone was calm and non-threatening, the boss of this Polar Bear mercenary group felt a little suffocated. He subconsciously knew that one of his own must have upset someone that they shouldn’t have.
Or else, why would Ruling Sword give them a warning like this?
There were a few businesses running in Azsharite, so the only way they could upset someone was probably because of the Azsharite Crystals. The boss didn’t dare delay; he ditched his client and rushed over himself.
If he didn’t sort out the problem, it wouldn’t be as simple as leaving Azsharite. The boss had seen many examples in the past where the hard work of many years by a mercenary group would go down the drain and become nothing, just because someone of great power instructed it so.
As such, he nearly passed out when he came over and heard the Warrior spouting rubbish.
The Warrior was stunned when he saw his boss come over and tell him to shut up, but he listened anyway.
The boss dragged the Warrior and whispered in his ear; they quickly figured out what had happened. He was smart enough to immediately drag the Warrior over to apologize to Lu Li.
Although the onlookers didn’t know what was going on behind the scenes, they knew that something unexpected had happened.
The Warrior would have summoned a whole pack of people if he was to pick a fight, but this time, only one came, and it was their boss too.
When Lu Li saw the boss of the Polar Bear mercenary group, he knew that the situation had been resolved.
He felt a complex emotion rise within. In his previous life, he would probably still be trying to dig up Azsharite Crystals himself. There was a good chance that he would have to battle others, or just give up on the quest. Random players could just play the game, but it was too hard for them to try a make a name for themselves.
“This…” the boss trailed off and had a bitter expression as he approached.
“It’s my people who can’t keep their eyes open and caused you trouble. If it’s possible, please forgive us. We’ll hand over 20 Azsharite Crystals for free as compensation.”
“Sorry, I don’t know what you’re on about; I’m just here trying to purchase some crystals. Please don’t disturb me,” Lu Li said as he turned his head away.
“This is my brother’s fault. How about I add some money on top and if you ever need anything, our entire mercenary group will do anything for you?” the boss offered. He was about to cry upon seeing that Lu Li didn’t even budge.
“There’s difficulty everywhere in all situations of life. Sometimes, we as mercenaries are a little cruel, but we still know where to draw the line…”
“You guys have difficulties, and the others don’t? When I marked the price at 25 gold, none of them dared to sell me anything just because he threatened them all. Do you guys really have any difficulties?” Lu Li laughed coldly.
Controlling the market stock and price, these people seemed to have believed that this game was their backyard.
“And aren’t you here to apologize? That guy beside you doesn’t seem like he’s here to apologize. To me, it seems like he’s ready to have a go at me at any moment.”
