Chapter 1510: Any Healers?
Translator: Exodus Tales Editor: Exodus Tales
“This is the Seventh Legion, kid,” Finkle said. “Do you know how the Seventh Legion was actually created?”
Without waiting for an answer, Finkle began to reiterate the beginnings of the Seventh Legion, from the decreasing number of members in the Brotherhood of the Horse, to the consequences brought upon by the Vanguard that decided to enter The Dark Portal. Kor’kron who was chosen out of thousands of soldiers to be the right-hand man of the grand chief brought the Seventh Legion to Elite status. They were the model military camp. They had experienced countless battles and bloodshed. They had journeyed to every corner of Azeroth, fighting against demons, slaughtering mutants, opposing divine beings, and were still able to protect the Alliance till this day.
If they were to talk about battle power, the Seventh Legion was the top of the game in the Alliance. However, most soldiers of the Seventh Legion were not from a favourable birthplace, but from Lordaeron. Lordaeron was a ghost town; it reeked of death and was infested by demons. The few lucky survivors who had escaped the area migrated to the south, but a few followed Lady Jaina and her troops to the west. Her troops were the first line of defence in the Battle of Mount Hyljal and faced off against Archimonde the Defiler and his army of the Undead. They defeated the Burning Legion, but Theramore’s humans were completed annihilated. In the end, General Proudmoore was highly commended for the battle.
Being one of the more experienced troops, it went without saying that the Seventh Legion would take part in the battle. Ironically, Jaina betrayed her father with a skeleton crew, and General Proudmoore’s had put an end to the Alliance war. In the end, Theramore’s human faction in the north had almost been completely wiped out by Arthes and his troops. Many civilians of Lordaeron became refugees in the Kingdom’s southern area, while citizens of the Southshore had to escape to Stormwind City. Just as Lordaeron accepted Stormwind refugees in the past, Lord Varian Wrynn accepted those survivors wholeheartedly. As the relationship between Stormwind City and Theramore continued to heal, Dwarfs, Gnomes, the Eastern Kingdom, Theramore’s humans, and the mysterious Night Elves allied to step into the next era. Thus, these few races would stop at nothing for the Alliance’s victory. Many would not hesitate to provide manpower and send in troops. Even the High Elves that accompanied Lady Jaina provided numerous Mages to the Seventh Legion, a generous backup force that immensely increased the legion’s agility.

When the mutant bugs began to infest Azeroth again, the Alliance made the Seventh Legion part of the Alliance’s army as Kalimdor’s right hand. It had been almost ten years since the Seventh Legion was formed. They had battled with countless brutal enemies and had spilled blood in every corner of Azeroth.
“Neither for the Knight’s spirit nor the Highlord’s command – we fight for honour and the happiness of the people…” Finkle uttered. It seemed that only when speaking of the future of Azeroth did it bring life to his eyes. His face rich was with expression and the tiredness in his body was gone. Once again, he took up the image of a passionate and hot-blooded war chief.
“Oh, I’m sorry,” Lu Li apologized. He felt awkward, regretting not keeping his mouth shut about the quality of the soldiers available to him. It might be true that a lot of peasants had joined the Seventh Legion when it first formed, but the Legion now was incredibly different from what it was before. There was no way that peasants had any place there. After all, even a level 60 peasant was no match for a casual player in the elite team of Ruling Sword.
“The Seventh Legion is a battle squad. Only the terror and brutality of war could shape such elite soldiers,” Finkle said as he rolled his eyes. “Did you perhaps want the King’s honour guards? Maybe give them shining armor and put them on horses? Or many drown them in honour badges…”
“Excuse me,” Lu Li interrupted, unable to bear the Major no longer, “but may I recruit my current companions for this mission?”
“Sure, you can…”
Finkle was visibly irritated by Lu Li rude interruption of what was supposed to be a passionate monologue.

“Great, I’ll go pick out adventurers to form my team then.”
He threw the list of available soldiers back onto Finkle and left; those hose feeble peasants wouldn’t last an hour in the training grounds. There was no way he was going to take a few peasants to infiltrate the enemies’ base and be exposed because of their incompetence.
Major Finkle hurried Lu Li out, fuming upon meeting such an unruly adventurer, and aggravated at Lu Li’s condescending and judgmental attitude. Finkle decided to speak to his boss about Lu Li’s shortcomings. If Lu Li failed to achieve his mission, then even a lieutenant like himself would be frozen indefinitely.
“An adventurer as a lieutenant, ha!” Finkle laughed as he went back to organising his documents, glaring at Lu Li as he walked out the door. Lu Li was more than happy to ignore such a short-tempered chief. After all, all his quests would be written in his scroll, and when he had finished, he just needed to find the quartermaster for his rewards. As for his newly recruited teammates, he only had to write their names onto his scroll to include them in his quest.
Speaking of teammates, they could only be either Thieves or Druids, and they had to be skilled in infiltrating-type missions. Since many Undead had high Detection, if one person was exposed, the entire team would be in jeopardy. Thankfully, players could resurrect, and that was another reason why Lu Li did not choose to bring NPCs with him. If he had taken peasants with him to fight the Undead, not only would he lose manpower, but those peasants would turn into Undead themselves and attack him.
Water Fairy… was a must. She would definitely be interested in participating in a new type of adventuring. As they said, company was the most long-lasting declaration of love. He would also have Cain’s Left Hand and Scarlet New Moon, but he still needed a healer.
There were no resurrection points in his quest area, and the closest spawn point was in the city. Even if Lu Li had the skill of resurrection, there was no way he could take care of everyone at once. He wasn’t built as a healer, after all. Hachi Chan was off the table. The Undead were immune to her charisma, and having no sense of direction, she could bump into Alsace or Kel’Thuzad and still not know that she had stepped right into the enemies’ base.

Oublivant
Oublivants: a category of dungeons characterised by the antithesis of life, necrosis. "Dungons as a whole tend towards the lethal side when it comes to exploring them; however, an oublivant actively seeks out destruction on a grand scale. No greater example of their deep hatred for life exists than the very first discovery of an oublivant. It was a massive dungeon spanning miles in all directions. It continuously expanded along the surface, so fast you could see it, and left nothing but a scorched, withered wasteland in its wake. Wherever the oublivant resides, nothing but the undead exist, as all living life has been eradicated. Why it is, exactly, the oublivant seem so against life so as to break the passive rule dungeons have is unknown.
