The Great Thief Chapter 1532 – Bloodvine Juice
Translator: Exodus Tales Editor: Exodus Tales
It didn’t matter if it was Seventh Heaven or Glory Capital; they wouldn’t be suckers. They had spent significant money on the attack and they weren’t just messing around for fun.
Therefore, Grey Valley and the Black Sea Coast were both faced with the full force attack of a powerful club.
Wandering and Sky Moon were responsible for Grey Valley’s defense, while Lu Li was in the Black Sea Coast, facing off against the enemy Glory Capital. They each brought 80 people, all of them from the core Elites of Ruling Sword. Although Water Fairy could definitely have lent them some people, Lu Li thought it wasn’t necessary.
At the moment, the Stronghold system still favoured the defending side.
The attacking side could only select 40 people, and then out of 200 people, another 40 were randomly taken out. That was to say, Glory Capital needed to use 240 of their core players against Lu Li’s 80 people. Taking into consideration Ruling sword’s two battlefronts, it was actually a fight between 240 on one side and 160 on the other.
Lu Li hadn’t thought about whether the quality of his 160 members was better than that of Glory Capital’s 240. Actually, he didn’t really need to think about it. As long as the difference wasn’t too great, he was confident that he could hold the Stronghold.
The Black Sea Coast’s Stronghold this week was already different to Black Sea Coast’s Stronghold from last week.
This was because Lu Li had planted an Ancient of Lore in Grey Valley’s stronghold. Although it was still a sapling, even at this stage, it would still prove to be useful. Lu Li believed that for now, no one would be able to break through its line of defense. Therefore, for the past 2 weeks, Ruling Sword had been making the Black Sea Coast’s Stronghold a priority. The city walls had been exchanged for giant rocks.
However, Lu Li also knew that this couldn’t stop Glory Capital.
The previous time, Glory Capital had started using Fire Bombs. Since they could find Fire Bombs, evidently, they could continue to find other types of artillery as well.
However, Lu Li wasn’t afraid of them – he had experienced rebirth after all.

As least for the first few times they defended their Strongholds, Lu Li simply relied on the advantage of being reborn to easily deal with it.
Glory Capital’s commander was Sorrowless, and this time, he had a stronger will than ever. The reason why he didn’t choose Grey Valley and chose the Black Sea Coast instead was not at all because he knew that there was an Ancient of Lore. Rather, it was because he first wanted to occupy the Black Sea Coast, thereby cutting off Lu Li’s Grey Valley Stronghold and the link with Darnassus.
Lu Li didn’t arrange for anyone to protect the arrow tower as it wasn’t necessary.
Glory Capital pushed forward along one route. In the Wild, and where they were heading, there weren’t any advantages. They also protected their chariots very carefully, as last time, their strategy didn’t pan out.
Actually, there weren’t any secrets to a Stronghold battle. After any method had been used just a few times, there basically wasn’t much new to try.
Not including Fire Bombs, those strategies were all ‘difficult’ strategies. Even if you knew about those Fire Bombs, it didn’t really matter. In any case, chariots would have to fire some sort of artillery, regardless of what type it was.
“They’re coming soon!” the person responsible for looking out for the enemy reported.
“Get ready,” Lu Li said, raising his hand. After a moment, he yelled, “Pour it out!”
Sorrowless, bringing his people with him, had already arrived at the Black Sea Coast’s wall. These few days, Ruling Sword had been continuing to reinforce the wall. Of course, Sorrowless and co. had already known for a while, so they weren’t surprised at all when they saw that it was larger.
This time, they might not have only brought Fire Bombs…
“What are those?” White Westhill asked in fear.
Actually, it wasn’t only him that was confused. All of Glory Capital’s members looked up at the wall in confusion. There, Ruling Sword’s members had been carrying buckets of black liquid and pouring it down. The originally grey wall quickly became pitch black; it looked like it had been covered with a layer of asphalt.
“What is this damn stuff?” Sorrowless didn’t understand what he was seeing.
“Looks like some sort of oil, but if it was oil, then wouldn’t that just be asking to die against our Fire Bombs?”

White Westhill also couldn’t understand what he was seeing, let alone the members on Ruling Sword’s side.
After all, when Lu Li sent people to collect up this stuff, he kept it secret, for fear that other people would find out.
There were only a few people who knew he was collecting this stuff. Even those people who were collecting it didn’t know why they were doing it.
“I know, it’s Bloodvine!” someone on Glory Capital’s side exclaimed. This player with a very ugly face then explained to his boss, “Outside the Troll training tower, aren’t there are a lot of plant monsters? One of them is a Bloodvine monster; it looks like it’s over level 40. When you attack it, it sprays blood…”
“Shut up with that nonsense, what are its effects?” White Westhill interrupted with his deep voice.
“It’s very tough and firm. Some players would cover themselves with Bloodvine juice and go and fight other monsters. It increases defense by a lot,” the player answered, with a wailing face.
“It increases defense, but how exactly does it increase?” White Westhill and Sorrowless glanced at each other, both feeling a bit ridiculous.
“Yeah, if you wipe a layer of Bloodwine juice over your body, you’re pretty much immune from most of fire, ice, shadow and physical damage. Sometime did the maths, and it can decrease damage by at least 80%,” the player explained.
“Why haven’t we heard about it? If what you say is true, then why doesn’t everyone just apply it on their bodies, then go down to the Instance Dungeon and fight the boss?”
White Westhill was feeling rather bewildered. According to what was said, if they covered their whole bodies with this vine juice, then fighting the little Red Dragon would be child’s play.
“No, this vine juice isn’t effective on monsters over level 40.”
Evidently, this player had also thought
about this possibility before.
A level 40 plant was only effective against monsters under level 40. Furthermore, Bloodvines weren’t easy to kill – if someone could kill a Bloodvine, then they wouldn’t be training on monsters under level 40. So although some players would give this Bloodvine juice to their lower level friends, it wasn’t something worth spreading the word about.
White Westhill ran up to the chariots with the same quality panels as the previous chariots, and was astounded to see that all of them were level 1.
This was a level 1 Stronghold, so naturally, all the chariots were also level 1.
“This is cheating!” White Westhill could only feel a ball of fury flooding his head.
Sorrowless also had an unpleasant look on his face. With his eyes wide open, he looked at Lu Li and his team as they coated the entire wall.
To wait and pour it right in front of their faces was simply an act of ridicule.
“Actually…to get through this sort of Bloodvine is actually quite easy…” that player said submissively.
“Then why didn’t you speak up earlier!” White Westhill really wanted to just slap this guy to the ground.
“You just need to use some acid, and it will corrode. A drop of acid can neutralize an area of juice. We just have to pour some acid onto the artillery…”
The player’s voice became softer and softer as he spoke, because he saw the increasing rage in White Westhill’s eyes.
“Does anyone have acid in their backpack?” White Westhill asked.
Glory Capital’s players looked at each other with blank dismay. No one said anything in reply – before they went into the Stronghold battlefield, everyone prepared their backpacks. The backpacks were only filled with things useful for the battle, like various potions and various pieces of alternate equipment. No one had randomly brought a few bottles of acid with them.
Therefore, that player knew that what he said was purely useless.
“This is really just a one-time strategy; we can’t use it next time. As long as they only have a bit of acid, they can corrode all our Bloodvine juice.”
At the time, Lu Li was speaking to the people around him. With a satisfied laugh, he continued, “But I don’t think there’s any idiot on that side who’s got any acid with them.”
With a cold face, Sorrowless gave the command to attack.
Fire Bombs, Ice Bombs, Spike Bombs…he had prepared a smorgasbord for today’s Stronghold battle. He just didn’t have any Acid Bombs!

Chaos uploaded
At year 2100, there was a new game that was being developed: "Realms of chaos" With cutting edge technology, realistic physics(At least, as far as fantasy-medieval worlds goes), and immersion to the point one could believe it was real, it is destined to become world-wide famous. Two siblings, Nysa and Inas, received the right of beta-testing the game, along with other players...although with the beta-test, many difficulties came together with it: Unfair enemies, lack of clues, lack of linear paths, and above all, no set of rules of how one should play. Nysa, being the less competitive out of the two siblings, has decided to play the game just for fun.But little does she knows how much the action of a single player, who just wants to explore and have fun, can change the realm of chaos. This is my first story, and I'll upload whenever I manage to get through the writers' block.Due to college starting, uploads might be erratic. Feel free to review and comment!
