Chapter 1757: Shameless Leader

If they couldn’t gain any points in the arena, then Sakura Straw had even less of a chance in the group stage. This didn’t mean that Sakura Straw wasn’t as good as Grand Hegemony. But then again, they couldn’t pass up the other zones. Even if the First Clear had been taken, every Boss would still contribute two or three pieces of Epic equipment.

While Lu Li was strategizing against the Harvester, he was alternating with killing the previous Boss. Occasionally, he would also have to lead the competition team, which was why they took so many days to finish off the Harvester.

“This equipment is really suitable for Thieves,” Lu Li said.

“Damn, the boss wants to cheat us of the equipment.”

“We’re done for, the club’s done for. What sort of leader can wear this and lead us?”

The one who bid first was Water Fairy. The necklace she had to begin with didn’t have great qualities. However, the main thing was that it wasn’t as elegant as this one.

“Anyone else bidding? No one’s bidding? If no one’s bidding, this necklace is Water Fairy’s. Congrats,” Lu Li said speedily, not even counting down from three as he usually did. The equipment was passed over to Water Fairy’s hands.

The few Thieves looked at each other with blank faces, gripping their weapons tightly in their hands.

Special Effect 2: When the wearer incurs damage, there is a 20% chance that 50% of the damage will be reflected back onto the opponent, and 8% of the wearer’s HP will be recovered. Special Effect 3: Soul Harvest. For every death of an enemy fighting against a teammate, the wearer gains a layer of protection that can absorb 60 damage. Maximum of 60 layers. Effective for 24 hours. Level Requirement: 60, Durability 365/365.

This really was an excellent piece of Thief clothing, better than what Lu Li wore.

Nightslayer Chestpiece (Epic): Armour 150, Agility +100, Defence +80, 2 Slots, Special Effect 1: After wearing this equipment, armor is increased by 10%. Special Effect 2: After use, the wearer’s damage is reduced by 40, and teammates within 30 yards enjoy half of this damage reduction effect. Cooldown time of 60 seconds, Special Effect 3: Remulos’ Protection. Natural spells cast with this equipment will have magic embedded. When the wearer’s HP reaches 20%, they will gain a shield, which will stop the wearer from incurring total damage that goes above 50% of the wearer’s total HP. Cooldown time of 60 seconds. Level Requirement: 60, Durability 300/300.

Armor tended to provide some damage reduction or defense, and this Soul Harvester was no exception. A 3600-damage shield made it a very satisfactory piece of defensive equipment.

There were other shileds which had more than 3600HP, Dawn was a balanced game. A 5000 HP shield would have weaknesses in other areas. The Nightslayer Chestpiece provided a 50% HP shield, so if Azure Sea Breeze used it, he could gain 5000 HP, but Lu Li would only have an extra 2000 or so.

What Lu Li valued most was the second Special Effect, or in other words, he thought it was where this piece of equipment really shone.

It was common to be critically hit in the arena, especially against Magic roles. However, when the wearer received critical hit damage, there was a 20% chance that 50% of the damage would be reflected back to the opponent, and it would also let the wearer recover 8% of their HP. It could attack the opponent and heal oneself – there was nothing better.

Moreover, a 20% chance wasn’t low. For someone like Lu Li who wasn’t so lucky, he thought that this was rather reasonable.
