After killing one of the big demonic beasts, the rest of them were quickly surrounding him.

The most visually pleasing one was still the Mutated Giant Ape’s attacking style.

That fellow transformed into a martial arts grand master, weaving his way between a few demonic beasts. His fists struck out continuously, forcing back those demonic beasts and making them spit reddish-black blood from their mouths.

About a dozen of those demonic beasts were held back together by the most capable babies, leaving them unable to get close to Zhang Che at all.

As for the Scarlet Flame Drake and the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon, the teamwork between the two of them had reached a high level long ago. Ice and fire attacks spread out, sweeping in an arc, exterminating a huge swathe of the ordinary demonic creatures ahead.

Strand after strand of mysterious energy, as numerous as the hairs on a cow, came flying into Zhang Che’s brow, quickly blending into the golden vortex.

Regrettably, the amount of mysterious energy on each demonic creature was far too little. Zhang Che couldn’t feel the golden vortex becoming the slightest bit stronger.

-Do I have to freaking kill every demonic creature here before the golden vortex grows a little?- Zhang Che cursed inside as he controlled the scarlet sword, making it fly into the mouth of another demonic beast.

This was like a person who was about to die of thirst only getting a drop of water in their mouth every time they swallowed. It wasn’t helping at all!

Not only that, there wasn’t a single casualty among the thousands of beastmasters. At the most, they only lost a few subdued beasts here and there, not enough to affect their overall strength.

Zhang Che and the rest of the twenty-three spearhead teams had displayed great strength in this battle. Any large demonic beasts with thick hides and tough flesh were held down by them, unable to get to the beastmasters teams behind them.

Obviously the demonic army wasn’t willing to be defeated just like that. When the cannon fodder-like ordinary demonic creatures had receded like the tide, the stronger creatures at the back quickly charged forward without any regard for their life or death.

The spearhead teams had also received an order telling them to not take any further risks. They were to hold their ground and fend off this wave of the demonic army’s counterattack.

In the end, the demonic army’s counterattack was futile.

The beastmaster army fought defensively, not advancing prematurely at all. They slowly pushed forward, bit by bit, leaving the demonic army unable to retaliate properly.

The satellites and jets above were observing the situation clearly. Once the demonic army tried to gather their stronger creatures to penetrate into the beastmaster teams, they were immediately bombarded by the squadrons of jets. Missiles rained down from the sky as if they were free, leaving the demons unable to gather their forces.
