High up in the skies, the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon was flying leisurely. At his side was the Purple Jade Condor, working hard to scout the situation below them.
How long had it been since the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon had enjoyed such relaxing times? He could no longer remember. In recent days, Zhang Che had been running around crazily in various beast worlds and killing exotic beasts, whether to advance to high-tier beastmaster or to hunt powerful creatures.
As Zhang Che's flying mount, as well as a powerful combatant, the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon didn't get a single moment of rest. If it wasn't because he could absorb the rainbow crystal's energy even while outside of Zhang Che's spiritual sea, he would have felt dissatisfied long ago.
Now, he was finally basking in leisurely times. He didn't have to rush somewhere, nor do battle. He only needed to fly leisurely in the skies of the beast world in an area not very far from the safety zone. He didn't have to worry about any powerful exotic beasts disturbing his relaxation, either. It was so exciting for him, comparable to finding a nice water area to play in.
Even a naturally battle-crazed pet had started enjoying leisurely times! It went to show how busy Zhang Che had been during this period of time, and how long he had fought.
Of course, Zhang Che didn't know about any of this. He was similarly making use of this rare opportunity to relax. He laid back on the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon's back, his eyes half-closed, looking like he had fallen asleep.
As for the elemental queen, she was holding onto a chess manual and studying the art. How hard she worked really left Zhang Che blushing in shame. He almost thought a genius chess player was going to be wasted by him.
Fortunately, the elemental queen wasn't human. Otherwise, Zhang Che would really consider letting her change her occupation to go play chess professionally.
Suddenly, the Purple Jade Condor transmitted a spiritual wave from the side. It had discovered a silhouette in the ravine below that seemed to be a powerful exotic beast.
Well, that fellow couldn't confirm whether the exotic beast was really powerful, and could only use the words "seemed to be" in its report.
"Ai, the Purple Jade Condor is a little too weak, after all. Although it has become legend-quality, it can't be considered a high-end combat force as long as it's not at epic-quality. It's lacking in even its ability to sense its enemies' exact strength," Zhang Che sighed, shaking his head. He ordered the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon to dive down in the direction pointed out by the Purple Jade Condor.
The ravine was deep and dark, with steep cliffs on both sides, and shrouded in a layer of fog. It was impressive that the Purple Jade Condor was able to discover this seemingly powerful exotic beast from a thousand meters in the sky.

Truthfully speaking, if it hadn't been a scouting-type exotic beast, the Purple Jade Condor wouldn't have been able to notice it, let alone determine the target's strength.
"Tsk, tsk. Looks like I have set too high a bar for this fellow. Its abilities are already amazing!" Zhang Che lamented. He ordered the Purple Jade Condor to circle in the sky and continue scouting, while he and the elemental queen dove directly into the thick fog of the ravine on the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon.
Zhang Che wasn't worried at all about his reckless charge in. This area was only a few hundred kilometers away from the safety zone. Would a divine-quality exotic beast even appear here?
If there was really a divine-quality exotic beast active here, this area would have become a forbidden zone long ago, with countless beastmasters having lost their lives here. It wouldn't have been chosen by the Bei Du University as the place to train their freshmen.
"So, what's there to worry about?" Zhang Che mumbled casually. He let the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon rush straight into the ravine without slowing down at all, instantly breaking through the fog in the skies and entering the dark ravine.
"Hmm? What's that? Why is it so fast?"
Zhang Che caught sight of a silhouette instantly disappearing from his sight just as he entered the ravine. Its speed truly surprised him.
Although he wasn't able to estimate exactly how fast that silhouette was moving, Zhang Che believed that fellow was definitely not any slower than ordinary flying exotic beasts. In terms of agility, it was even much better!
After all, the ravine had very complicated terrain. It was very easy to crash into protruding rocks when moving at high speed. That silhouette, however, was like a ray of light, instantly drawing a curved line in the air, not touching even a blade of grass!
-Could that be the figure the Purple Jade Condor discovered in the sky?- Zhang Che suspected. He didn't stop moving, however. He let the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon follow the direction the silhouette was heading in, giving chase.
As a dragon, not only was the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon's flight speed extremely high, his agility wasn't low, either. Zhang Che believed they would successfully catch up to that silhouette in the end, and see exactly what kind of creature it was.
Zhang Che's objective was to get rid of some hidden dangerous elements to begin with. That figure was very likely to be very strong. To prevent any unwanted accidents, it had to be eliminated, no matter what!
Although this area was vast and Huang Tielan was unlikely to come here coincidentally, who could say for sure about these matters?
If she really came here, and the staff couldn't protect her in time, wouldn't that lead to a lifetime of regret? Zhang Che definitely wouldn't allow any accidents to happen!
That figure seemed to have sensed Zhang Che chasing it from behind. It zipped left and right nimbly in the complicated ravine like black lightning, constantly dodging and hiding. The Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon wasn't able to catch up to it.

"Hmm, this is interesting. That fellow is actually this fast!" Zhang Che was astonished.
At present, the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon was already flying very close to the speed of sound. Due to the terrain, the dragon didn't bring out his fastest speed. Even so, it was much faster than many flying exotic beasts.
Despite that, the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon wasn't able to catch up to the figure. It truly left Zhang Che flabbergasted.
The chase went on for a few minutes. Zhang Che still hadn't gotten a clear look at the creature's appearance. He didn't even recognize what species that exotic beast belonged to.
As such, Zhang Che's competitiveness was thoroughly ignited. He had the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon speed up, wanting to catch up to that fellow no matter what.
"That thing doesn't look very strong; I don't believe it can really escape from the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon!"
Zhang Che was sure the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon would surely catch up to that exotic beast in the end. Although its speed and agility was almost on par with the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon, its endurance would surely be incomparable, right?
However, it seemed like Zhang Che was happy a little too soon.
------
That unknown exotic beast's endurance was really something. The Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon chased it for half an hour, and yet it showed no signs of exhaustion, making Zhang Che feel depressed and nearly giving up on it.
Fortunately, Zhang Che wasn't someone who admitted his losses easily. He had decided that he would catch up to that exotic beast, even if he had to waste all his time here today!
---
Minutes and seconds slowly ticked away. Zhang Che had lost count of how many times he circled around this complicated ravine, but the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon still hadn't caught up to the exotic beast despite accelerating past Mach 1!
The only consolation was that there seemed to be a problem with the target's endurance, allowing Zhang Che to finally see its figure.
"Hmm? It's actually a unicorn?" Zhang Che's eyes nearly popped out.
That's right; he didn't see wrongly. That exotic beast was indeed a Unicorn! It looked extremely similar to Zhang Che's healing-type Unicorn!
-Strange… why is there a Unicorn here?- Zhang Che was filled with questions.
That wasn't the main point. The problem that this Unicorn was covered in black, and shrouded in a thick layer of black fog. It was this layer of black fog that made it so quick and nimble, so much that the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon hadn't caught up to it even now, after chasing it for so long.
"This exotic beast is surely different from my Unicorn!" Zhang Che was certain of that. This black exotic beast that looked so similar to his unicorn wasn't actually a real Unicorn, its appearance was just similar.
Although Zhang Che had seen the exotic beast's true appearance, he hadn't closed the distance between them. His data eyes were unable to see its attributes, and he was temporarily unable to confirm exactly what kind of exotic beast it was.
However, all of this was only a matter of time.
The black exotic beast was getting fatigued. The Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon would catch up to it sooner or later.
------
As he had expected, as time dragged on, the exotic beast grew increasingly slower.
Finally, the figure came within the range of Zhang Che's data eyes.

========
"This is good stuff! A four-star legend-quality; it'd be the perfect flying mount to gift to Miss Tienan!" Zhang Che's eyes shone brightly after seeing the Dark Unicorn's attributes. Without a doubt, this fellow was a top-tier existence among mid-tier legend-quality exotic beasts, be it in terms of its supporting ability or attacking ability!
Although Zhang Che was already at the level where the Dark Unicorn's abilities didn't really interest him, giving it to Huang Tielan would increase her strength greatly.
As for Huang Tielan still being a Tier Three beastmaster, Zhang Che wasn't worried at all. Although ordinary beastmasters would need to spend some time to advance from Tier Three to Tier Four, with Zhang Che helping her out, she really wouldn't need much time to do so.
Zhang Che instantly came to a decision. He couldn't let this Dark Unicorn go, no matter what. He had to kill it and make it drop its beast card!
Seemingly feeling the killing intent from Zhang Che, the Dark Unicorn sensed a grave danger, quickly accelerating and pulling away from the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon.
Zhang Che wasn't worried at all. This was merely the Dark Unicorn's final struggle!

The Adventurer's Guild(master)
In a world of adventure, magic, and kingdoms, only one man can keep it all from falling apart. As much as he wished that wasn't the case. This is the story of the man who became the guild master of the most prestigious adventurer's guild in the kingdom, and then came to completely regret that decision, as he is forced to keep the peace, file paperwork, and babysit adventurers. The life of a guild master is not as great as it once seemed. Note: The prologue is an extended -probably should have not took it that far- joke and is completely skippable from the rest of the series. This is my first work on this website, or on any website to be honest, so criticism is more than welcome. Feel free to leave comments on any chapter, not just the latest one.

Pocket Dungeon Lite
Based on the Pocket Dungeon original novel made by Stuckin (I asked for his permission beforehand). I do not know if this could count as a fanfiction as I made up many elements on the go so, for now, I will list this as an original but if Stuckin-sama would like me to change it I will be fine with doing so. This is somewhat of a self-insert but I made sure not to make the MC to OP. Also, the creator of the cover is Vurguy I tried to contact him to ask for permission but couldn't due to technical issues please go support him on Deviant Art and I don't own the picture so if he wants me to take it down than I am completely okay with doing so. As I am an improving author, I am glad to receive any constructive criticism or critical review I just hope that everyone will give me a chance before they yell at me for something or at least tell me what made them angry so I know what the issue is and can figure out how to deal with it. For now, my schedule is 1-2 chapters a week and if I am busy with either work or school 1-3 chapters every 2 weeks. I expect a bunch of chapters at the beginning around 5 or so and for me to continue from there. I will try my best to keep some chapters in storage for any time where I can't write for whatever reason. I will continue to change this part of the synopsis if anything changes in my update schedule. - From a thoughtful Author Pocket Dungeon is a widespread interstellar game that has captivated the attention of many races and civilizations. Nowadays in the 2300s anyone not living under a rock would grow up with a dungeon and learn to manage it over time as they make mistakes along the way. But as all things go there is always an exception and this exception can be found in Nadezhda Ledopad who had an overprotective family that didn't let him interact with anything but those they deemed worthy and safe. This overprotectiveness caused them to forbid him from gaining a pocket dungeon as they knew with his intelligence and specialties in certain fields he would become a strong dungeon master, quickly. This was something his family was very much against as they knew that his competitiveness and duty to maintain the Ledopad family's reputation would push him to win in the competitions that he would inevitably get invited too. This all changed when Nadezh graduated high school and moved to the Celestial Plane capital star as a Prodigal student in planetary conservation (major) and revival of species through DNA transferal (minor). His brother in all but blood Tet schemed to get him into Pocket Dungeons when they got there as no one would keep Nadezh from playing. Nadezh excited to join his peers in this famous game looked forward to doing so. But with this one decision, many futures changed and the Fates laughed as people of strong destinies meet together on this plane. Warning - This will probably contain LGBT+ relationships. You have been warned, I will not tolerate stupidity to the ninth degree in the comment section and I hope that people can be logical enough to GO AWAY if they don't like this kind of thing. If you don't feel comfortable with mature or explicit scenes I will put a warning in the chapters or parts with such and I just wanted all of you to know that this will be a long novel as with most novel I will write in the future so don't expect a deep romantic relationship anytime soon.
