Chapter 578: Having Things go too Smoothly isn’t Good, Either…
Edited by Aelryinth
The physical defense provided by the dark red scales on the Scarlet-Scaled Comet Beast was simply unimaginable to Zhang Che. The Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon was a powerful eight-star epic-quality beast. Despite his physical attacks being slightly inferior to his elemental attacks, it wasn’t something ordinary six-star legend-quality exotic beasts could withstand, not even if they had tough defenses.
However, what had just happened had made Zhang Che’s jaw drop.
The Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon used the full strength of his claws on the Scarlet-Scaled Comet Beast, yet he only managed to leave a shallow mark on its scales, not tearing it apart. It was truly too shocking!
Seeing the panic-stricken Scarlet-Scaled Comet Beast digging its way into the ground to flee, a bright smile gradually grew on Zhang Che’s face.
He didn’t let the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon continue attacking it.
Hanming’s physical attack couldn’t penetrate its defenses, and if he used his elemental attacks, Zhang Che was afraid the Scarlet-Scaled Comet Beast wouldn’t be able to withstand it and perish.
It would be a huge loss if that really happened!
As such, the scarlet and white sword immediately emerged from Zhang Che’s spiritual sea at his thought, silently flying towards the Scarlet-Scaled Comet Beast, who had already dug a few meters into the ground by now.
Sensing its life was under a grave threat, the digging Scarlet-Scaled Comet Beast let out a sharp hiss and dug at an even faster pace.
Even so, its efforts were in vain.
The ground collapsed after a clear noise of metals clashing was heard. It was caused by the ground suddenly emptying out after the Scarlet-Scaled Comet Beast was instantly killed and became a beast card. The soil above couldn’t hold on and collapsed, forming a depression.
“Done deal!” Zhang Che snapped his fingers happily. At his will, the combined scarlet and white swords flew out of the earth, pinching a five-colored card between them.

The scarlet and white sword returned to Zhang Che’s spiritual sea. Zhang Che caught the Scarlet-Scaled Comet Beast’s beast card with his hand, and looked at it impatiently. An incredibly bright smile broke out.
If he wasn’t deep in the dinosaur area, Zhang Che would definitely have burst out in laughter. Even so, he still couldn’t hold it in and opened his mouth, letting out a soft chuckle.

This was simply an armor that wasn’t inferior to epic-quality, perhaps even surpassing epic-quality armors in some aspects. An incredible treasure!
Indeed, exotic beasts couldn’t be judged by their appearances, and the sea couldn’t be measured…
At the start, Zhang Che had looked down on this mere six-star legend-quality exotic beast and chased it with the mindset of not wanting to waste it. He had never expected it to actually bring him such a huge surprise.
Without a doubt, Miss Tienan’s beast card armor was settled. She could continue using this even after advancing to high-tier beastmaster and would not need to change her armor.
Even epic-quality armors, unless their attributes were especially outstanding, could not compare to the Scarlet Comet Armor in some aspects!
“Doesn’t this mean that I’m more than a week ahead of schedule?”
Since his objective for this trip had been accomplished, Zhang Che had no need to continue staying in this area.
This was the home territory of others, after all, and the exotic beasts around were very powerful. Zhang Che wouldn’t have any reinforcements if anything happened.

To be on the safer side of things, of course it’d be better if he returned to Hua Xia earlier. However, it seemed a pity if he returned just like that…
After coming all the way here, he didn’t feel at peace if he didn’t hunt for more rewards!
Zhang Che was struggling inside. Before he could make a final decision on what his next plan of action would be, his expression suddenly changed. He had clearly heard rumbling noises in his surroundings.
“This is bad! I caused too much of a commotion when I killed the Scarlet-Scaled Comet Beast earlier, and attracted all the powerful exotic beasts nearby here!”
Zhang Che’s expression turned ugly.
He was too excited when he saw the Scarlet Comet Armor’s attributes and had forgotten that he was in a dangerous environment. How could he waste so much time here?
With no time for second thoughts, Zhang Che quickly jumped onto the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon’s back and ordered him to quickly flee to the front and left.
Heavens knew what kind of terrifying exotic beasts were gathering at this location from all directions. If a few epic-quality exotic beasts appeared together, it would be very disadvantageous for Zhang Che and his army of beasts if things dragged on, even if they could hold on for some time.
The Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon’s nimble body immediately flew through the gaps in the bottom of the thick forest, Zhang Che grumbling to himself in frustration, “Damn it, I really can’t get careless. I’ll attract huge troubles to myself if I’m careless in this kind of environment. Luckily the Scarlet Comet Armor’s attributes are outstanding enough. Wouldn’t I have suffered a loss instead otherwise?”
Blessings and disasters were two extremes, and yet were closely connected to one another. Sometimes, having things go too smoothly might not be good, either.
After fleeing on the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon for several hundred meters, the commotion around them grew much louder. Zhang Che could hear a wave of chaotic and heavy footsteps quickly approaching his way, the noise of trees being knocked over mixed with them.
Zhang Che could tell without seeing that the uninvited guests coming his way after hearing the noise were all huge creatures!
In this area where dinosaur exotic beasts roamed everywhere, he could well imagine how powerful they were!
-Hopefully I can rush my way out before these exotic beasts surround me, or a bitter fight will be unavoidable,- Zhang Che thought. However, just as the thought came to mind, his heart sank a little.
It seemed impossible for him to easily force his way out this time.
Intense rumblings were audible from all directions. Some of the larger exotic beasts had already sensed the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon and Zhang Che’s presence, and let out deafening roars, converging on him.
-Oh well, I have no choice but to fight this battle!- Zhang Che complained endlessly inside. With a thought, he ordered the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon to slow down, then Summoned out all of his capable pets and subdued beasts.
Since he couldn’t flee, he’d fight properly against the local tyrants!
Resolving himself to fight, Zhang Che calmed down.
He was in a hurry to escape because he didn’t want any trouble. Since it had become an unavoidable situation, it wasn’t like he had no fighting chance. He wasn’t necessarily afraid of these exotic beast groups.
A huge battle was on the verge of breaking out!

Tryphant Agent's Historical Logs
[Disclaimer: This novel is no longer in continuation since I've found more joy in writing short stories. I'll continue writing about this universe and the world in it, building upon the documents of the Tryphant Agents but in another novel] What is the origin of life? What is the meaning to life? Are we the only intelligent being in this universe? Why haven't we been struct by a catastrophe??? How has the world been so peaceful for such a long time?!!! Is there a hidden force that controls our world from being destroyed?!!! How have we not noticed them!?!!! Am I just delusional??!!!! I'm definetly delusional. These are the questions that mortals often ask and frequently ignore in their life, yet answering these questions will lead a person to the Tryphant Agents. An organization who protects various civiliaztions from destruction time and time again without a single person noticing them. They are an organization that is like time, powerful yet unnoticed. This is the historical logs of the Tryphant Agents. Disclaimer: I'm writing this to fill my world with details and I'm only hoping for this to be a good story. The main core focus is to write characters with life into them, a world where it feels real, and story that is consistent. Don't expect a top tier story because this will be my experimental logs as well where I will try various writing styles. Rather I wish that you hope for a great story instead.
