Chapter 527: The Joy of Surprise
Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio
“Is there something urgent?” Wang Yao’s second aunt asked.
“I need to see a patient,” Wang Yao said. “Where is my uncle?”
“He won’t be coming at noon. He will just eat at work,” his aunt said. “You don’t have bring things every time. How are your parents doing?”
“They are good,” Wang Yao said. “My grandmother and grandfather are also doing good. You don’t have to worry.”
“Did you have lunch?” his aunt asked.
“Yes.” Wang Yao actually had not eaten, but he did not want to trouble his aunt. Besides, it was already too late to prepare a luncheon.
“When will you go back?” his aunt asked.
“Tomorrow,” Wang Yao replied.
“You are in a hurry,” his aunt said. “There is a big travel rush because of the Spring Festival, so it is hard to buy a ticket. Will you take a plane?”
“I think so.” Wang Yao did not have to worry about how to go return home.
He chatted with the his second aunt for a while and then checked her over. Her body was not bad. Wang Yao then left.
“Let’s find a place to have a meal,” he said to the driver.
The driver took Wang Yao to a five-star hotel. “Here?” Wang Yao was shocked.
“You don’t like it?” the driver hurriedly asked. It was a very high-end place, and it was nearby.
“We don’t have to eat in such a fancy place,” Wang Yao said. “Plus, it is a bit noisy. What about going to some old restaurants?”
The driver immediately drove Wang Yao to an old shop in an alley. The place looked a little devious, but there were many people who came there to eat.
“Here is Xiao Wu. What would you like to eat?” the waiter asked.
“Hey, Lin, how are you?” It seemed that this driver often ate there.
“The same as usual,” the waiter replied. “Are you ready to order?
“No, we will look at the menu,” the driver said. He then handed the menu to Wang Yao.
“You don’t have to be so polite,” Wang Yao said. “I am not familiar with it here. You can order some dishes, as long as it is enough for the two of us to eat.”
“OK.” The driver ordered six dishes, plus two soups.
“That is so much,” Wang Yao said. “We can’t eat all of that.”
“The amount of each dish is only a little,” the driver said.

After a while, all the dishes were brought out. They were very delicate. The amount was not small.
“Have a taste. Do you like it?” the driver asked.
“Yes, it’s very good.” Wang Yao smiled.
“As long as you are satisfied,” the driver said.
While Wang Yao was out eating, two guests visited the Wu family. It was Dr. Chen and Dr. Li, two famous and professional Chinese doctors.
“Has he taken some medicine?” Dr. Chen asked.
“Yes,” Dr. Li replied.
“Is there any left?” Dr. Chen asked.
“There is one dose left,” Dr. Li said.
“There is no need to doubt the medicines anymore,” Dr. Chen said with a smile.
“What did you discover by the analysis last time?” Dr. Li asked.
“Last time I failed, but I can try it again this time,” Dr. Chen said.
“Then, you should try again,” Dr. Li said.
Although the two kept bantering back and forth, the purpose for their visit was clear. They had come to see the elderly man, who was lying on bed sleeping from the treatment.
Dr. Chen checked old Mr. Wu first. “Oh, I admire him.” He sighed after feeling the man’s pulse.
He then turned to Dr. Li. “It’s strange and amazing!” His eyes were full of surprises
After getting up and checking the old man, Dr. Li was also shocked. “How is this possible?”
“Let’s go out to talk about it,” said Wu Tongrong, the eldest son. After all, his father was still asleep. These days, it was rare for his father to rest, so they did not want to disturb him.
They came to the living room and sat down.
“What about my father’s illness?” Wu Tongrong asked.
“He is better. At least, his temporarily safe,” Dr. Chen said.
“Yes,” Dr. Li concurred.
“Really?” Wu Tongrong was surprised but happy. This was the best news he had heard in a long time.
“Of course it is true. Is it possible for both of us to lie to you in this matter?” Dr. Chen asked.
“However, although he is getting better, it does not reverse the fundamentals, which means it will continue to deteriorate,” Dr. Li said.
“If there is continued medication, is there any possibility of healing?” Wu Tongrong asked.
“It depends on the effects of the treatment,” Dr. Li said. “The two of us have discussed it. I feel that if he continues to use the medicine, there is a possibility of recovery. The question is, will he continue to provide this medicine for you?”

“He said that this medicine is extremely expensive,” Wu Tongrong said.
“It must be. All existing medical measures are useless in treating the disease, so it must be expensive,” Dr. Li said. “But, the price is not a problem for you. Your question should be how to get along well with the doctor.”
“Where did he go?” Dr. Chen asked.
“He went to a relative’s house here in Jing,” Wu Tongrong said.
“Well, this is a good thing,” Dr. Li said.
…
After eating, Wang Yao went back to the small courtyard to rest for a while. He then returned to the Wu family’s home. By then, the two old doctors had left.
“Is he awake?” Wang Yao asked.
“He is still sleeping,” Wu Tongrong said. “Look.”
When Wang Yao approached the bed, he could see the old man was still asleep. His face was not as pale or sallow as he when they first met. It was a little bit pink. His breathing also sounded even.
Wang Yao did not wake him up. He just sat at the bedside to feel the old man’s pulse. “The drug is working. But, it is not over yet.”
After checking him, he left the room to let the old man sleep.
“The potency is still working,” Wang Yao said. “Don’t worry about giving him the medicine. I will come back around 8 p.m.”
“OK, thank you.” Wu Tongrong said.
He sent Wang Yao out of the gate and watched him leave before returning to the house.
…
“They invited Wang Yao, didn’t they?” Song Ruiping asked.
“Yes, I heard that it was at last night,” Chen Ying replied.
“It seems that the situation of the old man of Wu’s family has reached an urgent point,” Song Ruiping said. “Don’t tell Xiaoxue for the time being.”
“Oh, I know,” Chen Ying said.
After visiting the Wu family, Wang Yao went to a small courtyard managed by Chen Ying.
“Sir, you are here?” After seeing Wang Yao, Chen Ying was very happy.
“What are you busy with?” Wang Yao asked.
“I’m just taking care of these flowers and plants. Have a seat in the room,” Chen Ying said.
Just as he walked to the door, he suddenly heard a prompt. “The task to cure different miscellaneous diseases is finished!”
“Finished?” He was shocked.
“Sir, what happened?” Chen Ying hurriedly asked.
“Oh, nothing,” Wang Yao said.
They stayed in the small courtyard for a while.
“Let’s go see Xiaoxue together,” Wang Yao said.
“I will tell my lady right away.” Chen Ying immediately called Song Ruiping.
The two soon headed to the Su family’s home. Song Ruiping personally greeted them with her daughter behind her. The beautiful girl was like a fairy in heaven.
“Sir!” Su Xiaoxue was particularly happy after seeing Wang Yao.
“You can walk on the ground!” Wang Yao was surprised to see her standing at the gate holding the wall.
“Well, I just can’t hold on for too long,” Su Xiaoxue said.
In that small courtyard, when he heard the system’s hint, he was wondering who was the last person cured. He had been ready to accept the system punishment before coming to Jing since he only had three days until the deadline of the task. But, there was still one person left.
This task reward was very rich. The punishment for failure was also very strict. He would not to be allowed to use the system for three months. Wang Yao had been ready, but this sudden reminder was a huge surprise. After meeting Xiaoxue, he guessed that the last person cured was this girl, who was smiling like a flower, in front of him.
“How long will you stay in Jing this time?” she asked.
“I’ll go back tomorrow,” Wang Yao said.
“It is so short!” Su Xiaoxue was somewhat disappointed. Although she knew it was near the New Year so he would not stay in Jing for long, she still felt one day was too short.
“Xiaoxue, it is almost new year. Dr. Wang must have other things to do at home.” Song Ruiping smiled.
“Well, Sir, after the Spring Festival, I want to learn from you. Can I?” Su Xiaoxue suddenly asked.
“Learning? What do you want to learn?” Wang Yao was a bit shocked.
Her family was also shocked. Apparently, she had not told her family.
“Learn how to practice and about neixi,” Su Xiaoxue said.
“Oh!” Wang Yao suddenly understood.
When he treated Su Xiaoxue, he left part of his neixi in her body. He occasionally taught her a few scripture words in the Natural Classics. It was supposed to be a blessing in disguise.
If there was anyone in the world who was the most suited to teach Su Xiaoxue to practice on neixi, it was him.
Wang Yao looked at the beautiful girl, who was looking at himself with eager eyes. He could not bear to refuse her.
“Of course you can, if you want,” he finally said.
“Good!” Su Xiaoxue shouted happily.

The Summoned - Complete
In a world of magic, ruled by many warring races, the human kingdoms are being pushed to the brink of collapse. In a desperate bid to gain the strength to stand on an equal footing with the other nations, they perform a forbidden ritual to summon combat slaves from another dimension. Unluckily for them, Mors Letus, recently named by their world's God of Death, was one of them. **** Warning **** This is a re-release (The Summoned) of the first book I wrote in partnership with my brother (who later forced the story to be pulled (It was released on his account here)). I have started writing my own version of the story (BOM: The Summoned) and will continue to primarily invest in that, though, now I have permission to re-release this one, I plan finish this as I have the drafts and it was close to the end of the first book. Many characters/scenes and events match/Will match BOM: The Summoned, especially in future arc's (Past Flatner forest). If you don't like spoilers, don't want to get confused between the two stories or hate first attempts at writing (god awful grammar/sentence structure and storytelling), I would advise against reading.
