Chapter 571: Hurriedly Seeking Treatment
Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio
“Of course, you are,” Han Zhiyu said.
“Then listen to me,” the doctor said.
“But doctor, I am very busy,” Han Zhiyu said. “I have no time to stay in the hospital!”
“Then, get the medicine back and take it,” the doctor said.
“Oh, OK,” Han Zhiyu said.
The doctor gave him numerous medicines, including anti-inflammatory, anti-itching, external application, and oral administration.
“What a joke! That quack!” Han Zhiyu left with a big pocket full of medicine.
The reason for the ulceration on his hand and arm was that when he went to the Pharmacist King and helped the disciple treat his fourth younger brother, he touched a handful of drugs that had not been cleaned up in time. When he left, the disciple of the Pharmacist King had mentioned it to him and said there was no need to worry. So, he didn’t take it seriously at the time. He only felt that his arm was cool and quite comfortable.
On the way back, he felt that something was wrong. His hand and arm became itchy and slightly painful. He scratched a few times and broke the skin, which shocked him. The situation became more serious after returning home. After one night, his arm shed a layer of skin. When he got up the next day, he only felt burning pain. Within one day, his arm began to fester. It was not just a skin problem.
“How is it going on?” Han Xing asked after Han Zhiyu returned home.
“Damn it. He didn’t give me any results. He just prescribed a pile of medicine,” Han Zhiyu said.
“You took them even though you know they are useless?” his brother asked.
“Oh, I am still thinking about trying them. What if they are useful?” Han Zhiyu asked.
“Even if it is useful, it is not the medicine prescribed by the Pharmacist King,” Han Xing said. “If you still feel uncomfortable, you could go visit the Pharmacist King.”
“I won’t go.” Han Zhiyu hurriedly waved his hand.
The Pharmacist King was willing to see them last time because of the medicine provided by Wang Yao, which was extraordinary. If he went now with nothing, he didn’t know how long he would have to wait. Plus, he was a little bit afraid of the Pharmacist King. When he was with him, he felt as if he was in a cage with a man-eating tiger.

“What are you going to do?” Han Xing asked.
“Nothing. It doesn’t hurt too bad now. Maybe it will be fine in a while.” Han Zhiyu waved his hand.
“Well, if you can’t put up with it, tell me as soon as possible,” Han Xing said.
“I will,” Han Zhiyu replied.
…
Li Shiyu transported a truckload of trees to the mountain village. These were the trees Wang Yao reserved when he went to the nursery.
“These are only part of them,” Li Shiyu said. “There are some that may take a little longer and need to be shipped from the southern cities.”
“No problem.” Wang Yao checked the trees, all of which were very healthy. He paid for them after counting them.
“Where should I put them?” Li Shiyu asked.
“At the foot of the mountain,” Wang Yao said. “I will take you there.”
He led a group to the foot of the mountain, where they unloaded the trees.
“Where are you going to plant them. Do you need us to help you put them up?” Li Shiyu asked.
“No, I will do it myself,” Wang Yao said.
“OK, I will bring you the rest as soon as possible,” Li Shiyu said.
After they left, Wang Yao looked at the trees. He only needed one hand to lift one tree. It was as if he was carrying two groups of cotton. Without much effort, he flew up to the mountain. He got all the trees up the mountains in a dozen round trips.
Wang Yao already knew where to plant the trees, but he had not dug holes.
After dinner, he returned to the mountain early and walked around Nanshan Hill. Sanxian was behind him.
“Sanxian, tomorrow we will plant trees,” Wang Yao said.
Woof!
“This mountain may need some changes,” Wang Yao said.
The next morning, Wang Yao got up early and ate something on the mountain. He had already told his family that he would be spending all day on the mountain.
Armed with shovel and a hoe, he headed to where he wanted to plan the trees. “Let’s start!”
At this time, Wang Yao couldn’t be measured as a common person either in terms of strength or physical fitness. In fact, he did not need to use any iron shovel or hoe. He could easily dig a large hole on the mountains with his hands and palms. For him, even hard rocks could be easily crushed into pieces.

A tree hole was quickly dug. Wang Yao held a tree with one hand. With a wave of his hand, an invisible force surged. Soil instantly filled the tree pit.
“San Xian, check whether it is upright,” Wang Yao said.
Woof! Woof!
“Good,” Wang Yao said. “Let’s do the next one.”
Throughout the morning, dozens of trees began appearing on Nanshan Hill. It looked a bit messy and mysterious.
Meanwhile, a luxury car arrived in the village. Two young people got out of the car.
“This is what you are talking about, isn’t?” The taller and stronger young man looked at the clinic with disdain.
“Yes, it is,” the other young man said.
“In such a dilapidated mountain village, is it possible to have any good doctors?” the stronger man asked. “Were you cheated by someone?”
“No,” the other man quickly replied.
“Well, let’s go and have a look,” the stronger man said.
When they go to the door, the saw the wooden sign above.
“Not available? What’s the point of being here?” the strong man asked.
“Oh!” The other young man, who was slightly shorter, looked at the sign and scratched his head. “Blame me.”
“It is not your fault,” the stronger man said. “He is not there, so let’s go.”
“All right,” the shorter man replied.
“Hey, hey!” The stronger young man pressed his stomach. His face had turned pale.
“What happened?” the other man asked.
“It relapsed! Give me medicine quickly!” His body shivered while he was talking.
“OK, hold on!” The other young man hurried to the other side of the car, grabbed a bottle of medicine, and ran to his friend.
The stronger man poured out a few pill and swallowed them. A few minutes after taking the medicine, the painful expression on his face faded.
“Is it better?” the other man asked.
“Well, it’s OK.” The taller man sighed. “It comes on suddenly!”
His illness was extremely strange. The worst part was that there were no good ways to cure it even after going to many big hospitals. He had heard rumors that there was a young doctor in the village with some medical skills. Although he didn’t have high expectations, he figured it was worth a try.
“Let’s go back,” the stronger man said.
“Or, should we wait a bit?” the other man asked.
“No need to do that.” The stronger man waved his hand, even though he was a little scared by the pain.
If the relapse caused a serious problem triggered by the pain, then in this small mountain village with no timely or effective treatment, he was likely to lose his life.
When the two people were getting ready to get into the car, they saw a few cars coming over and parking outside the clinic. A few people soon got out of the car. It seemed to be urgent. The man in the middle was carrying a person on his back.
“Is it here?” a middle-aged man asked
“Yes, it is,” another man said.
“Hey, is doctor Wang not available?” the middle-aged man asked. “What can we do then? Can we go to his home to find him?”
“We cannot,” the other man said. “That is his rule.”
“His rule?” The stronger young man watching the scene was shocked.
“What can we do then?” the middle-aged man said.
“Don’t wait, hurry to the county hospital,” the other man said. “The child can’t wait.”
“Yes, I have said that we should go to the hospital, but you just did not listen to me,” a woman hurriedly said. She was almost crying.
“What?” The two young people looked at each other.
While they were talking, a man came down along the mountain road.
“Doctor Wang is here!” Some of the people recognized Wang Yao and shouted happily.
Wang Yao had been called by his mother. He thought there was someone going to his home and was angry. When he asked in detail, he knew that it was not like that. When Zhang Xiuying came out of the house to dump garbage, she saw the cars parking outside of the clinic. She was worried that there was someone really sick, so she called her son.
“Doctor Wang, can you check our child?” a middle-aged man asked.
“Come in,” Wang Yao said.

Sweet Minds
"No one can see it, some can feel it, and only the few can use it. We belong to the few." Marith Merryfield felt anything but merry that morning. She found herself waiting for a delayed train on a deserted platform, in the freezing cold of the Dutch autumn. Just when the strangeness is making her consider turning around and going back home an empty train rolls into the station. For reasons unclear to this day she decides to get onboard. An unlikely, and quite impossible, train accident is about to hurtle her into a world she had always suspected existed. It was a dark and absurd place she had rejected and suppressed when she was young. Now she would need that dormant part of herself to survive. After a brief hospitalization she must choose between two continents and finds herself reluctantly boarding a plane to Oregon to be reunited with her shadows. She returns to the town she grew up in, which is where her father still lives and her childhood memories linger. By the end of the week the mysterious train accident turns out to be the least of her problems. Her life was never supposed to become this serious this fast. Through an improbable and unfortunate series of events she is soon introduced to a motley crew of characters that appear to be carrying the same struggles through life. They possess a familiar sense of inadequacy and insecurity. Marith realizes that for the first time in her life she has found herself a tribe, or, as they prefer to call it, a Chain. She is introduced to a world of Prophets, Runners and Mages led by an Oracle and a Watchmaker. Over the course of several weeks Marith learns that, together with her Chain, she is expected to save this fabric of reality, by fighting a mysterious and immortal creature and his aggressive pet. In order to have a chance at overcoming this force of nature she has to revisit the darkest and most desolate corners of her mind. ***** The total word count of the first 12 chapters amounts to about 85.000 words. The total word count of the first 30 chapters will amount to about 225.000 words. My chapters range, roughly, from 5.000 to 10.000 words. I post with irregular intervals, on random days and at different times. I hope you will enjoy the story! English is not my first language and I am very much open to constructive criticism. Gamer
This story is abandoned and has not been authorized for distribution on any sites but RoyalRoad. Given the Gamer ability after shattering a crystal inside a game, Jon's world is upturned as he is thrown into a life he considered fantasy. Making new enemies and encountering a god, he cannot escape the quest which is forced on him. Different worlds and different situations, can he come out on top? He's neither perfect nor a saint, he is Jon. Welcome to Gamer. This has been dropped, I didn't like the way I forced a few plotpoints and I lost my notes on the story itself. Read below if you want to be spoilered. As far as I recall, he would change race into a higher human after using a spell to overload his mana repeatably until his body forcibly adapts, he would train up his rift usage spell with some better targets than God's Realm because he keeps hitting his stats limit until the cost lowers enough that he can actually grind it. His world is being invaded by multiple worlds, so the god had many backup plans where a lot of people went into their own fantasy settings and came back to defend Earth. Jon never is the strongest one out there, he has to keep grinding and grinding before he gets stronger than the other heroes, and at that point the invasion is nearing the final stretch. Jon's two biggest advantages is that he can keep grinding without hitting a cap he can't evolve, and that even when he is eventually killed. He would have respawned in the nearest 'Safe Zone' after dropping a level and everything he did to gain that level. I also had a bunch of ideas for mini-arcs where he would play in multiple worlds in multiple situations, not that great of an idea in retrospect.
