The injured man carried his son and ran into Wang Yao’s clinic without paying any attention to the bleeding wound on his neck. He didn’t even knock on the door.

“I’ve been bitten by a mad dog,” the injured man said.

He had sharp eyes. He could tell whether the wound was caused by a dog or a person. He didn’t think the wound was caused by a dog.

Wang Yao cleared the wound for the injured man. He took some herbs that could stop bleeding and ground them into powder. He applied the powder on the wound and pressed a few surrounding acupoints to stop the bleeding. He then wrapped the wound with gauze.

Wang Yao went inside the room to take a look at the child, who was in a deep sleep. He was relieved after making sure the child was fine.

“You need to come with me to the clinic,” Wang Yao said.

“OK,” Li Zucai said.

“Yao, what’s going on?” Haoze’s grandpa anxiously asked.

“I’m afraid Chen Jiagui’s condition is contagious,” Wang Yao said.

“What? Contagious? What will happen to Zucai?” the old man asked.
