Chapter 650: Sir, Compete With Him
Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio
The patient’s problem was in the liver. The liver failure was so serious that it could not function like before. The liver played a vital role in the body, but it contributed silently. This meant it would not tell one if it was painful or tired. Once one felt it was going wrong, the problem was already serious.
“12 years old?” Wang Yao asked.
“Yes,” Zhang Liuchuang said.
“Where is she?” Wang Yao asked.
“In the provincial hospital in Ji,” Zhang Liuchuang said.
He witnessed Wang Yao’s magical expertise, so he had come again with his sister’s medical history. His sister had been treated in Ji, but the outcome was not optimal. It just kept her disease from deteriorating.
“You’d better bring her here when you are free,” Wang Yao said.
“Can you treat the disease?” Zhang Liuchuang asked.
“I can try,” Wang Yao said. “But, the price will be high.”
“No problem, thanks,” Zhang Liuchuang said. He asked for Wang Yao’s phone number before leaving.
Recently, the number of the patients with thrombosis coming to see the doctor was relatively large. There was one almost every day, which included those who returned.
Three simple ways were effective for those with less-severe symptoms on the day of treatment: acupuncture, massage, and prescription. The serious symptoms would improve within a week, which was marvelous and often went beyond their imagination. Suffering from the disease basically meant the loss of labor ability. It made it difficult to keep basic living skills. Everyone coming to the clinic to accept the treatment had all recovered. Some had even resumed working.
What was a famous doctor? One with marvelous expertise. What was a miracle doctor? One who could treat untreatable diseases. Wang Yao gradually was called “a miracle doctor” by those.
“I daren’t say it. I am a pharmacist,” Wang Yao responded the first time they called him that to his face.
In fact, who could deserve the character of miracle?
Consistently taking the medicine, Zheng Weijun was under quick recovery. Now, he was able to slowly stand up and take some steps.
Nowadays, he often said, “Living a life is really good.”
He had come to the clinic while Wang Yao was finishing the treatment of the last patient. He wanted to come earlier, but Wang Yao had been busy lately, so he did not want to disturb him.

“Are you finished?” Zheng Weijun asked.
“Yeah, it is my last patient,” Wang Yao said. “Please come in.”
Zheng Weijun and Zheng Shixiong went into the clinic.
“Do you feel any discomfort?” Wang Yao asked.
“No, it is good. I almost feel like I become better every day,” Zheng Weijun said.
“Good. Your body is resuming recovery,” Wang Yao said. “The toxins in your body have been almost eliminated. You’d better take heed what I told you before and keep a healthy mindset.”
“OK,” Zheng Weijun said.
“Do you have anything else?” Wang Yao asked
“Hmmm… there is something else…” Zheng Weijun hesitated. “I came to express my appreciation.”
“Oh, you don’t need to do that,” Wang Yao said.
“Doctor Wang, you cannot understand how I’m feeling,” Zheng Weijun said. “It seems like I regained a new life. My life before was blurry, gray, and without any color. I almost felt desperate with the thought that the rest of my life would be like that. Under your treatment, I look at the sunlight and the promise. I am only 24 this year. I feel I still have many decades to live. Since I got the disease, this is the first time that I have had such idea.”
“The change of your mindset is important. Staying positive is good for your recovery,” Wang Yao said.
“Please allow me to express my appreciation in my special way,” Zheng Weijun said.
“How is that?” Wang Yao asked
“I owe you a favor. As long as you ask, I will try my best to do it as soon as practicable,” Zheng Weijun said.
It was a promise without specific content. It was empty and big but full of lure.
Wang Yao just smiled. “OK, I see.”
“From now on, Dr. Wang will be the distinguished guest of the family Zheng. Please let me know whenever you need to ask a favor from Zheng family,” Zheng Shixiong said from behind Zheng Weijun.
Wang Yao smiled.
After some more words, the uncle and his nephew left.
Interesting. Wang Yao did some cleaning and returned home.
…
In Miao Territory thousands of miles away…
In a valley in the mountains with lush and greenish trees, the sounds of birds, fragrance of flowers, old houses, and other buildings were shaded in trees and bushes. It was like a fictitious land of peace.

In a wooden building, a retro copper furnace gave off the distinct smell of incense.
“Uncle.” Miao Qingfeng and Zhao Yinghao knelt on the ground courteously.
“Do you come because of troubles again?” Miao Xihe asked.
“Yes, I killed someone,” Miao Qingfeng said.
“Brother violated the rules for me. Please lay down the penalty on me, uncle,” Zhao Yinghao hurriedly said.
“Is it because of your master again?” Miao Xihe asked.
“Yes,” Miao Qinfeng said.
“You are so impatient.” Miao Xihe solemnly sat on a square of stone. He calmly said, “Lock yourselves up for one year. Any request of going out will be denied.”
“Yes, master,” Zhao Yinghao said.
“Yes, uncle,” Miao Qingfeng said.
They withdrew from the bamboo building.
“Thanks brother!” Zhao Yinghao thanked Miao Qingfeng sincerely.
“We are one family. You don’t have to be so polite.” Miao Qingfeng waved his hand. “But, it is being locked up for one year,”
Locking up was a euphemistic phrase. Actually, it was confinement.
“Uncle’s decision is in our favor,” Zhao Yinghao said.
The flame of revenge in his chest was not extinguished, but it was not as vigorous as when he had arrived in Dao. It hid like flowing magma. Instead of weakening, it became fierier and more horrible.
“In one year, you can practice to be your best, going beyond from copper skin and steel bones to invulnerable viscera,” Mia Qingfeng said. “Since he is from a big family in a top level, he could engage anyone he wants, like the young man you said last time was a god on earth. ”
“Yeah, I will remember your words.” Mentioning that man, Zhao Yinghao felt a sudden sense of an unreasonable urge.
Last time in the village, three of them, including the master and disciples, were defeated by the man in a moment without any resistance. They could not match him even in the group of three. Such a rival was the one they had never met or thought they would met.
“In your words, he might be greater than the master,” Miao Qingfeng said.
“He absolutely could not match the uncle,” Zhao Yinghao said. In fact, his inner thought was on the contrary. The skills of that young man actually could be higher than Miao Xihe. “How could he have such great achievements at such a young age?”
As for this matter, not only him, but even the ones who knew Wang Yao’s background did not understand.
…
While Wang Yao was treating a patient in the clinic, an unexpected guest paid a visit in the afternoon.
“Are you busy, sir?” Guo Zhenghe asked.
“Yeah, I still have several patients,” Wang Yao said. “Do you have something urgent?”
“No worries, I will wait for you.” Guo Zhenghe sat and waited for him to treat his patients.
It was nearly 5 p.m. by the time the last patient left.
“OK, do you have something to tell me?” Wang Yao asked.
“No need to be hurried, sir. Please rest,” Guo Zhenghe said. The smile on his face made people feel comfortable.
“Go ahead. I am not tired,” Wang Yao said.
“How do you feel about Xiaoxue?” Guo Zhenghe asked.
“Xiaoxue, Su Xiaoxue?” Wang Yao asked.
“Yeah,” Guo Zhenghe said while maintaining his smile.
“A kind and beautiful girl,” Wang Yao said.
“Yeah, but, do you like her, or do you have some special feeling to her?” Guo Zhenghe asked.
Wang Yao hesitated awhile after listening. He never thought Guo Zhenghe would ask him such a question.
“Yes,” Wang Yao answered honestly.
“Do you like her?” Guo Zhenghe asked.
“Yes, I like her,” Wang Yao said.
“For her background?” Guo Zhenghe unconsciously moved slightly to sit up, as if he had some special status.
“No, it is because of who she is,” Wang Yao said. He did not care about her background at all.
“Sir, I like Xiaoxue, too. I want to marry her,” Guo Zhenghe said. “Do you want to marry her?”
“I have the thought of being together with her,” Wang Yao said calmly.
As for marriage, he had not really thought about it until now.

Fate Overcharge (Stalled)
Rin Tohsaka, the young genious magus who, using the power of the holy grail, built an empire spanning the whole world, decides to use the power of the second sorcery to expand her empire to other realms and... Ehm, sorry, wrong story. Err, alright, starting again... Rin Tohsaka is the current head of the Tohsaka family and a likely master in the upcoming fifth grail war. She doesn't have a wish she wants granted, but she will fight to win. For if there is a battle to be fought, could a Tohsaka settle for any less than a complete victory? This is a fan fiction for the Fate/StayNight and an alternative rendition of the fifth grail war that introduces new characters, and shows never before seen sides of the old ones. Since this is a fan fiction, knowledge of the original works is needed to understand it. Watching stay/night or zero should be sufficient, but reading both works along with Hollow Ataraxia is recommended for not missing any details. (I won't assume the readers have read Hollow A.) - Warning: Tagged Mature(+15) mainly for violence and strong language. Nothing graphic, and still a lot milder than the original Visual Novel - Note1: I am trying to improve so constructive critisizm and random comments are welcome. Note2: Be warned! Update rate will likely be slow. How slow, I can't say. Note3: I don't consider any side works in the franchise as cannon. So if, for some reason, Nero is summoned, do not riot when he turns out to be a burly, hairy caster. (That won't happen!)
