Since there was one earlier occasion where Grandmother Qi brought Xia Wenna over to look for Song Yu, many of those in Chengshi remembered the old lady's face.

When Grandmother Qi came out of the elevator with Guan Liya, the receptionist thought she was seeing things and was afraid to even greet them without being greeted first.

At that time, the old lady had already brought Guan Liya in.

"Young lady," the old lady greeted.

The receptionist's memory was jogged immediately after hearing the old lady's voice.

"You're the esteemed Madam Qi?" the receptionist greeted, still shocked and struggling to calm herself down.

"Aye," said the old lady amicably. "Young lady, please do not be afraid."

"Madam, you're here because…" the receptionist asked with caution. Song Yu had already resigned. At that point in time, there was probably no one else that the elderly woman knew there.

"Hehehe, I'm looking for Xiao Ruan," the old lady smiled and said.

'Xiao Ruan?'

The receptionist was lost in thought for a moment, as she remembered that the only person with the surname Ruan was Ruan Danchen.

"Are you looking for Ruan Danchen?" the receptionist asked. She was shocked and surprised. 'When did Ruan Danchen become on such good terms with the old lady, that she would be paid a personal visit by the old lady herself?'

Song Yu received that kind of treatment last time because she was the old lady's granddaughter-in-law.

Back then, the old woman brought Xia Wenna—who was Qi Chengzhi's mother and Song Yu's mother-in-law—with her.

'Who did the old lady bring over now?'

"Madam, Ruan Danchen took leave. She's not in the company at the moment. Why are you looking for her?" the receptionist asked carefully.

You took care of Song Yu well when she was still working here, and we're all really thankful and appreciative of your actions."

She walked over uneasily, but before the old lady and Guan Liya could say anything, Director Zhao exclaimed angrily, "Aren't you going to apologize? You take advantage of the liberty I give you when I don't interfere with your work too much and decide to go around nose-picking in the office? You soured the good working environment that we have here!"

He finally understood why Qi Chenglin insisted on Ruan Danchen for the project with Qilin—the man simply wanted to take care of his wife at work.

"I didn't immediately agree because I wanted to find a better solution for all this. Danchen, please don't worry, my company will not let the same thing happen again. "I was worried you couldn't find your way." Qi Chengyue smiled. The truth, however, was that Qi Chenglin called her and asked her to go down and fetch Ruan Danchen.

Qi Chengyue held Ruan Danchen's arm intimately and led her in. When they waited for the elevator, its doors opened to reveal Luo Yushu standing inside. His mind went blank and he forgot that he was supposed to actually come out of the elevator.

"Miss Qi, Miss Ruan," Luo Yushu greeted immediately. From inside the elevator, he placed his hand on the doors to prevent them from closing. In his mind, he was amazed to see Ruan Danchen being on such good terms with the Qi family.

"Manager Luo," Qi Chengyue smiled and greeted back.

"Hehe, are you here to meet our General Manager, Miss Ruan?" Luo Yushu asked, smiling.

Apart from the Qi family, there were probably no other people in the company who knew of Ruan Danchen's status, so Luo Yushu was rather pleased that he was in the know.

Feeling slightly hard-pressed, Ruan Danchen did not know how to answer as she was afraid that Luo Yushu might tell Qi Chenglin that he saw her.

Besides her, Qi Chengyue smiled and remarked, "Not at all, Danchen's here to apply for the job opening but she wants to keep a low profile and hide it from my big brother. She's afraid that he would bring her in through the back door, which will be a bad effect on the company. Don't tell anyone, okay."

Luo Yushu looked at Ruan Danchen puzzledly. 'How is it low profile when Qi Chengyue came to personally escort you up?
