Her biggest wish in life was to have Qi Youxuan acknowledge her as his mother.

Even though Qi Chengli made the decision without consulting her, she did not feel as if he disregarded her. She had no impulse to accuse him of disrespecting her. Ruan Danchen had always thought that he was a very reliable man.

If anything, she thought that her previous misgivings were ridiculous.

He had planned to marry her ever since they started to date, and he had never thought of breaking things off with her. She did not even know when he had begun to make plans for their wedding.

Ruan Danchen looked up and saw Qi Chenglin's honest and handsome face. He looked so attractive, and he possessed such a mature charisma. When she looked at him, she could only think about his consistent reliability.

In hindsight, even though she had been worried about whether their relationship would survive or not, she had never been afraid he would let her down somehow. She was also never concerned about the existence of another woman while they were together.

Even subconsciously, she knew that he was a dependable and responsible man. She was confident that he would never have any interest in another woman as long as they were together. He would not even look at women who were prettier than her.

Mu Huaisheng might be an outstanding man, but she thought that he lacked certain qualities when compared to Qi Chenglin.

"Qi Chenglin, seven years ago, I promised my mom that I would sneak into your bed. Then, I gave birth to Youxuan, and I thought that was the best thing that I would have ever done in my life." Ruan Danchen tip-toed to kiss his lips. "I'm really thankful that I could meet you again, and I'm so lucky to have met you in my life. I'm also grateful that such a good man like you exists in the world. There are no words to describe my luck. Thank you for not being angry with me. What I did to you seven years ago was unforgivable. I never expected that I would have your love and also a life with you."

"I never thought that I would meet you and Youxuan again, or to hear him calling me mom, or to be a family with the both of you. I don't know how I am so lucky to have you treat me so well." Ruan Danchen stared at Qi Chenglin's face lovingly. Her eyes showed only love and affection for him. "I love you, Qi Chenglin. I really, really do love you. Thank you."

Qi Chenglin gazed at her gently and tenderly. He lowered his head to kiss her lips softly, and then he chuckled. "I love you too. There is no need to thank me for that."

Suddenly, Ruan Danchen felt his erect penis poked at her, and she was speechless. They just had a touching moment, so how did the atmosphere change so suddenly?

"Stop fooling around," Ruan Danchen said as she pushed him away. "Youxuan should be hungry by now, so I'm going to prepare dinner."

"Let Aunty Zheng do it." Qi Chenglin rubbed his body against hers. "It won't take long."

"Aren't you always proud of the little fact that you can maintain it for a long time? Why do you say that it won't take long now? Have you become a rapid gunner?" Ruan Danchen asked mockingly with raised eyebrows.

Qi Chenglin hugged her quickly and pressed his body against hers. "You're rushing to cook, right? I can do it as fast as I need to be. I may not fully enjoy it, but at least I can satisfy my needs a little. If you want to test how long can I last, I'll let you find out about that tonight."

".." Ruan Danchen knew that the man would never feel embarrassed before she did. At first, she had wanted to tease him, but it looked like she had managed to shoot herself in the foot. She did not think she would be able to bear with it if he really did try to do it for as long as he could.

"Stop messing around. You've worked for the whole day, so you must be tired now. Go and get changed, then come downstairs for dinner." Ruan Danchen placed her hands on his chest and pushed him away from her. Her ears felt warm.

"I'm not hungry now." Qi Chenglin grabbed one of her hands and put it on his private part. "But this part of me is hungry."

Ruan Danchen's hand felt hot, and it trembled continuously. She blushed and then rested her forehead on his chest.

She closed her eyes as she was too embarrassed to look at him when he did something that obscene.

"Behave yourself. We can do this later if you want," Ruan Danchen softly said as she shivered in his arms.

Qi Chenglin lowered his head to stare at her. His stare was so intense; it was as if there was a fire in his eyes. Ruan Danchen's breathing labored.

"If we do this at night, will you be okay for no matter how long we do it?" Qi Chenglin mumbled with his deep and hoarse voice. He pouted slightly and rubbed his lips against the corner of her mouth.

Ruan Danchen shuddered after she heard those words. Her body felt blisteringly hot, and she blushed furiously. She felt like she could not control herself anymore.

Her ears were completely red, and she was speechless. She could only nod her head in agreement.

Qi Chenglin smiled and rubbed her hand against his private part for a little while more before he decided to let her go.

Ruan Danchen clenched her fist after he released her hand, but it still felt warm. Then she quietly said, "Do it quickly. Dinner will be ready soon."

After she said that, she ran out of the room as if she was in a hurry.

When Ruan Danchen reached downstairs, Qi Youxuan had already changed his clothes. He sat on the sofa with his word cards, and he did his revision diligently. However, he kept glancing at the stairs. When he saw Ruan Danchen walked down the stairs, he blushed, and he immediately turned his head to stare at the cards again.

Ruan Danchen smiled at him and then walked to the kitchen. When she was almost done with the cooking, Qi Chenglin finally went downstairs.

Ruan Danchen carried a bowl of soup from the kitchen when Qi Chenglin sat down at the table. She could not help but stare at Qi Chenglin's hands.

It would have been fine if she had not known what he had done. However, she did know what he had done in the room, and she was too embarrassed to look him in the eyes.

Even though she knew that all men would need to satisfy their thirst somehow, she could not imagine that Qi Chenglin would need to do the same. She felt somewhat awkward with the knowledge that a man like him would resort to that kind of thing.

Then again, she could not help but imagine him as he played with himself. She felt like a demon had controlled her because she could not stop thinking about that.

Qi Chenglin sneered because he knew what was in her mind. He raised his eyebrows at her.

Ruan Danchen immediately blushed, and she averted her gaze. He was acting like a shameless hooligan!

She lowered her head and sat down. Qi Chenglin could still see her ears were as red as a piece of heated iron.

Suddenly, he leaned toward her and took her hands with his right hand under the table. He pinched her hands and then whispered hoarsely into her ears, "I played with myself using this hand just now."

Ruan Danchen suddenly shivered when she felt her hands in his. Then, he pulled her hand toward his private parts.

Luckily, she managed to react quickly to that. She withdrew her hand immediately when it was about to touch his private parts. "Let's start eating!"

Qi Chenglin smiled and did not disturb her further.

Ruan Danchen thought that the man deliberately swayed his right arm in front of her as he used his chopsticks. Every time his elegant and bony hands moved, indecent thoughts assaulted her mind.

She was very preoccupied during dinner, and she had a blush on her face.

Finally, Qi Youxuan had to ask her, "Aunty Ruan, are you feeling uncomfortable?"

He had called her 'mom' impulsively in the afternoon, but he was too embarrassed to call her that again. So he addressed her as 'Aunty Ruan' as he usually did.

"Maybe it was the smoke in the kitchen just now," Ruan Danchen explained quietly.

Qi Youxuan believed her explanation, and he did not question her further.

After the dinner, Qi Chenglin told Qi Youxuan to go back to his room to complete his homework. Aunty Zheng cut some fruits for the little boy.

He did not have too much homework that day, so the little boy managed to finish them quickly. Then he jogged on the treadmill while he watched an episode of a cartoon. After that, he took a shower and promptly went to bed.

Since Qi Youxuan started to exercise at night, he would fall asleep immediately after he laid on his bed. He would no longer ask her for a bedtime story.

However, Ruan Dachen would still look in on him before he slept so that she could tuck him in and wish him good night.

When she finally went back to her room, Qi Chenglin was not there because he had to finish some work in the study. Ruan Danchen decided to take a bubble bath.

She managed to enjoy her bubble bath while she watched an episode of a variety show. Suddenly, the washroom's door opened, and she felt a cold draft.

Ruan Danchen turned her head around and saw Qi Chenglin as he stood at the doorway. He had removed his shirt before he opened the door. He only wore a pair of long pants, and his muscular and well-built upper body was exposed.

His arm looked muscular and well-developed, so it looked attractive and not too bulky. Ruan Danchen admired his six-pack because they looked like a chocolate bar, and they were quite springy to touch.

Qi Chenglin took a step forward and then closed the door. He stood in front of her casually.

Ruan Danchen subconsciously curled into her body. The vapor from her hot bath water was warm, so the whole bathroom was covered in a mist, and the visibility in the bathroom was very low. It somehow made the atmosphere more erotic.

"Why did you come in here?" Ruan Danchen asked quietly. She felt weak, and her body started to shiver in the bathwater. Her exposed shoulders had a tinge of redness to it, and there were goosebumps on her skin because she was nervous and excited.

"It's already night time," Qi Chenglin said as he unbuckled his belt slowly. "Since you are taking a long bubble bath and wouldn't leave the bathroom, I thought that I should just come in."

Ruan Danchen gulped, and her breathing quickened. That man had deliberately unbuckled his belt so slowly, and his movements were too seductive!

"Do you want to help me?" Qi Chenglin pointed at his briefs.

Ruan Danchen blushed and asked softly, "Are you coming into the bathtub?"

Qi Chenglin raised one of his eyebrows and answered her suggestively, "Sure, I'll come in."

Ruan Danchen got the hint immediately. She really did not know how to deal with that guy.

Qi Chenglin could not control himself when he saw her bashful and compliant expression. He stepped into the bathtub with his long legs and sat behind Ruan Danchen. Then he hugged her tightly.

"Qi Chenglin!" Ruan Danchen exclaimed in surprise. He had started to make out with her, but she was not prepared for that at all.

Qi Chenglin hugged her tighter. He was unwilling to loosen his grip as his every movement was filled with love and longing for her.

Ruan Danchen laid in Qi Chenglin's arms dreamily. He had carried her from the bathtub and into the room. Then he dried her body with a towel. She felt only warmth when he took her in his arms.

After she had calmed down, her shoulders felt cold, so she pressed her body against him.

Qi Chenglin smiled again when he saw her involuntarily clingy actions. He could not help but to kiss and caress her.

After he kissed her lips, he stood up reluctantly.

Ruan Danchen frowned. She felt a little chilly as their bodies were further apart. She hugged him tighter, and then like a spoiled child, she asked unhappily, "Where are you going?"

"I need to make a call. I'll be back shortly." Qi Chenglin pinched her face gently as if she was a child who needed to be comforted. Then he pecked her lips softly.

Ruan Danchen frowned again. She only let Qi Chenglin left after she wrapped her body tightly with a blanket.

Qi Chenglin smiled. He got out of bed, and then he pinched her cheeks once again before he left the bedroom.

A few minutes later, Qi Chenglin was back in the room. Ruan Danchen was already half-asleep by then because she was drained. However, she could feel his long arms hugged her tightly.

She felt safe and peaceful in his embrace. She adjusted her posture so that she was a little more comfortable. Then, she promptly fell asleep again.

The next morning, Ruan Danchen opened her eyes half-awake even though her alarm had not rung yet.

Even though she did not need to go to work, she still woke up early to prepare breakfast for Qi Chenglin and Qi Youxuan and to see them off.

However, she felt pretty tired that morning. She was exhausted after she fooled around with Qi Chenglin the night before. He 'played' with her to his heart's content because she had not started work yet, so he did not need to worry if her lack of energy would affect her work.

Therefore, even though she was already half-awake, she did not want to open her eyes. She wanted to wait until the alarm clock on her phone ring before she would do that.

Even though sleepiness took her, she could still feel it when someone lifted her left arm and slid something cold and hard onto her middle finger.

Ruan Danchen felt more awake by then. The first thing she saw when she opened her eyes was a ring on her middle finger, and it was a simple silver ring. It was about two to three millimeters wide, and it had a small diamond in the middle. It was low-key and nothing that dazzled too wildly.

The diamond embedded into the ring, and so it was just a smooth circle.

Ruan Danchen stared at the ring on her finger, and then her gaze landed on Qi Chenglin's elegant fingers that held her hand. She noticed that he also had a similar ring on his middle finger. The only difference was that it had no diamond.

"Are you awake?" He had just woken up too. His voice was deep and hoarse, and it sounded deliciously sluggish.

He smiled at her as he laid on his side and supported his head with his right arm.

"This is—" Ruan Danchen blinked. She was not completely awake yet, and so she was a little confused.

"Couple rings. I ordered them the other day, and I've asked someone to fetch to me this morning," Qi Chenglin said softly.

"Why did you want to wear this so suddenly?" Ruan Danchen asked in surprise. She did not know Qi Chenglin was the type of man who would do that kind of thing.

"Even though you are working for me, I still have to protect you from the people who might want to chase after you." Qi Chenglin narrowed his eyes, though he did have an ulterior motive.

Ruan Danchen preferred to remain low-profile. She did not want her colleagues to find out about her status so that they would not bother her about it.

However, she did not know that Qi Chenglin had called for a meeting with the managers from various departments so that he could inform them about her. He did not invite Yao Qingzhi to the meeting.

In the meeting, Qi Chenglin had told them, "The new designer at the design department, who will be coming in next Monday, is my wife. Her name is Ruan Danchen. Please treat her with kindness."

Manager Zou from the design department had heard about the news right before the meeting, so he was not surprised. However, he did have to rack his brain to think of the best ways to keep the general manager's wife pleased.

The other managers stared at him with mixed emotions. They pitied him, and yet they were also envious of him at the same time. However, they were mostly relieved about the situation.

It was an excellent opportunity to win the favor of the general manager's wife, but they might annoy her as well if they made any mistakes. No one wanted the general manager to blame them for offending his wife.
