In the next moment she felt being lifted in his arms and being carried out of the elevator. He carried her to the lounge and put her on the bed gently. He removed her sandals. Then he went to the refrigerator and brought an ice pack. He brought her injured hand forward and applied ice pack to the portion that had turned red. There was no swelling thankfully.

He looked at her face and started laughing. Her nose had swollen a little and she looked cute. "Your nose has turned red and is swollen like a reindeer."

Wu Lina bit her lower lip, her embarrassment overtaking her pain. Yang Xinyu brought the ice pack to her nose and pressed it there until Wu Lina removed it irritatedly in a few seconds. He gripped her hands and pressed it forcibly there like he would do for a small child.

Her pain receded gradually. None of them spoke and the silence was awkward for Wu Lina. Yang Xinyu was merely enjoying her company. He didn't want this time to end.

"Have you had your dinner? He asked.

"No," she answered.

"Then let's go out for dinner," he suggested.

"I have to go home, now!" she said in an urgent tone.

"What happened?" he asked with concern.

How could she say that she was experiencing her menstrual cramps and she hadn't got her pads? She was about to get her periods and she needed to go home to relax, to take a hot shower and eat simple non-spicy food.

She pursed her lips and didn't say a word.

He waited for a while, and then said, "Okay, I am ordering take-out food."

"I am going. Thanks for helping me," she said while thinking that I am in this mess because of you. Why would you bring me back? Had I left a bit earlier I would have been in my home now!

"No, stay there," he ordered her calmly.

She gulped and froze. She dare not move from her position.

Yang Xinyu picked his phone and ordered light non-spicy noodles for her along with bacon and rice.

After that he went to take a quick shower. He came out in fifteen minutes dressed in casual shorts and a t-shirt. He was looking inhumanely handsome. His wet hair was combed back and his skin looked soft under the warm lights of his room.

Wu Lina found herself gaping at him. 'Why is it that I am still amazed at his gorgeous features?'

He slowly came towards her and said softly in her ears, "Am I looking so attractive?"

She blushed and averted her gaze digging her toenails in the carpet. Wait! When did she remove her sandals?

"Why don't you go and take bath?" he said lovingly.

"No, I'll eat food and go home," she replied bringing back the chill in the air.

'Go home? We will see Wu Lina!' He thought with a smirk.

Wu Lina wanted to go back home as soon as possible. It was one of those days when she suffered every month. Her menstrual pain was coming in intervals, each time with increasing intensity. It was just these five days of her cycle that were most troublesome. The pain was maximum on the first day and receded on the third day.

She sat down with her head down and hands on her stomach. She didn't want to make a scene in front of him. She waited for the take-away food to come so she could eat and just go home.

Yang Xinyu picked the TV remote and started watching the news. Most of the news channels were showing the Yang Corporations' takeover of a Spanish firm. They showed his handsome face in the corner while broadcasting the news.

Bored, he turned to look at Wu Lina. When he saw that her head was hung low, he thought she was also bored. He changed to a music channel, something that Wu Lina liked. He thought that she will pick interest and they might strike a conversation. But she didn't look up. He sensed that something was wrong. He went near her, lifted her face in his hands and saw that her lips were turning a pale blue and her face was twisted in agony. He panicked!
