"That's great Wu Lina," he cringed, knowing that she was going to leave early, and also when she called him Lai Mingxing. He wanted to tell her so bad that his name wasn't Lai Mingxing.

"So which company are you going to start working at?"

Wu Lina smiled and offered, "Why don't you drop me to my new company on the first day?" She was embarrassed to ask this favor from him as soon as the words escaped her mouth and silently chided herself for asking impulsively.

"Ahhh…you don't have to if you don't want to. I will just go by myself" she added to hide her embarrassment.

Yan Xiaojun saw that she was flustered by her own words. His fingers ached to touch her face, "It's no problem. I willtake your offer," he said with a smile.

He was excited to see her Monday.

"Thanks Yan Xiaojun. I have to go now," Wu Lina said with a beatific smile leaving Yan Xiaojun frozen in his place over the dazzling visage she had left on him.

"I won't be able to meet you this week. There's a lot of work that I have to do before leaving. There are lots of formalities that I have to go through. So I guess I'll see you on Monday."

He couldn't utter a word… he just nodded. His gaze followed her as she left. 'Wait what? What will I do until Monday?' He smacked his head recovering from the daze, and quickly got up from his chair to follow her, but Wu Lina had already left the cafeteria. He couldn't find her.

Frustrated, he left the hospital.

A week passed with Yan Xiaojun becoming restless to the point of being sleep-deprived. He badly wanted to go and see Wu Lina. In his anxiety he went to the hospital on Saturday just to catch a glimpse of her. He sat on a chair in the garden outside, but she never appeared. He was angry with her for not giving him her phone number.

Finally Monday arrived. He got dressed as fast as possible, jumped into his car and rushed to the hospital. He reached there at 8am in the morning and waited for her at the main entrance. Wu Lina came out wearing a red shirt and a white trouser. The shirt had a thin scarf hemmed at the neckline, which was tied on the left side. She was wearing red shoes. Her hair was tied in a high pony. Although her outfit wasn't branded, Yan Xiaojun found himself gaping at her. She looked young and beautiful. Feeling a twinge in his body that extended through his fingers, his face flushed a bit out of excitement. Wu Lina saw him and waved at him. She was grinning!

He ran to open the door for her. Wu Lina sat inside gracefully. He closed the door for her and rushed to drive the car for her.

"Lai Mingxing, I am so excited! I hope I am able to work well," she said with a beaming face.

"Yeah!" he nodded with an encouraging smile.

Yan Xiaojun was already feeling nervous. He had decided to reveal her his identity and at the same time confess his love for her. He had brought the ring with him and wanted to gift it to her before she started her new job. He drove the car in silence with a stupid smile on his face.

"Where do we have to go?" he asked.

"I will just give you the directions. It's going to be a surprise!" she exclaimed.

By the time they reached downtown, Yan Xiaojun started to feel anxious. There were a handful of software companies who had their headquarters there. He passed them one by one when Wu Lina asked him to stop, he looked out.

"I will start my new job here from today!" she said hopping out of the car, not waiting for him to help her out.

Yan Xiaojun's face dropped. It was the Yang Corporation. His nervousness clearly showed on his face and sweat beads appeared on his forehead. He got a shock of his life! His hands became numb and his mind blanked out. The girl he was about to confess his love to was going to work in Yang Xinyu's company. How was that possible?

Wu Lina felt awkward when he didn't say a word. "What? You don't want me to be here? No wishing me good luck?"

" No! B-best of luck to you…!" he stuttered while panicking..

"Thank you…"

Wu Lina left him as she was going to be late to her work. The new recruits had an orientation class on the first day so she had to hurry up and collect her ID card from the reception.

"Bye…" she dashed off and ran into her workplace.

Yan Xiaojun watched her entering the building. He took out the jewelry box from his pant and pressed it hard in his palms. 'So this is where she has been contracted with a five million penalty. I will get her out of this place.' He slowly ingrained the company into his mind as he got mad at how much she would have to slave around in the company. His anger slowly increased while slowly drove his car to his workplace.

Somewhere, where no one would notice was that someone was staring at her from the ninth floor…

Although Wu Lina dreaded that she might encounter Yang Xinyu, she pacified herself that the CEO isn't necessary to oversee the new trainees and that he won't come.

She was excited to start her new job as a computer programmer. She went to the reception and submitted the necessary documents. They gave her an ID card that had to be used every time she entered the company's premises. Wu Lina took her card and went upstairs to the floor she was assigned.

It was already 9am. The new trainees had gathered together around a senior manager who was instructing them. They had their orientation today whereby they had to visit every department. After a period of two months of general training they would be assigned to their respective departments.
