"Wu Lina, Wu Lina!" Mrs. Yang banged the table with her fist and yelled, "You're infatuated by her, just look at your father. Haven't you learned anything? Keep her as your mistress!" she said scornfully. "This girl doesn't deserve you!"

She rose from her chair and pointed at Wu Lina who was now shuddering with fear. "You ungrateful girl. Wu Lina gasped at her sudden outburst. Her words pinched her soul.

"Mother!" Yang Xinyu shouted at her fisting his hand on the table.

The lawyers were stunned. Chen Jungxu tried to calm her asking her to sit down but she kept standing with fire blazing out of her eyes.

Chairman Yang Min-Chang got up from his chair and went near Yang Chún qiàn. His face was red with anger. "How dare you point your finger towards our son or at me?" Saying that he slapped her hard on her face.

Everybody present in the room went into a silent shock. The Chairman was always the calmest person but today he had slapped his wife.

"Now go and sue me," he said menacingly.

Yang Xinyu was dumbfounded. He had never seen his father losing his mind to this extent. He left his place to go to his mother but the Chairman signaled him to stop.

Yang Chún qiàn looked at him with wide eyes and said in a low voice, "How dare you? Is this girl so important that you will slap me? Do you know that I own fifty percent shares of this company? I will make sure that both you and Yang Xinyu will step down as the CEO and the Chairman of the company if Yang Xinyu marries this girl!"

"In that case go and get your statistics correct," said the Chairman gesturing Bo Xilai to bring the relevant documents to him.

He threw those documents in front of her and said, "The Company has expanded multifold ever since we got married Yang Chún qiàn. There are many other businesses that come under our umbrella. As against what you think, your 50% shares are only for the main company, which is now much less in size as compared to the whole conglomerate. It constitutes about 25% of the entire business of the company. I have already transferred 49% shares in Yang Xinyu's name and the remaining shares are with me. So now you can do whatever you'd like. Saying that he went and sat in his chair once again and asked the lawyers to complete. Both the lawyers coughed a bit and continued.

The lawyers decided to meet on a different date, which would be announced when the parties were ready again.

Yang Chún qiàn left in a hurry collecting her purse and not being able to look at anyone. She kept her head high and looked straight, tears welling her eyes.

The Chairman also rose to leave. But before he could do that Yang Xinyu came to him and embraced him.

"Father, thank you," he managed to say.

He had pulled Wu Lina along with him. He made her stand in front of his father and said, "This is Wu Lina."

Wu Lina bowed with a smile. She looked at him with awe, "Thank you Chairman Yang," she said respectfully.

"Child, you are most welcome. But you need to call me father now," he said patting her head.

The Chairman walked out of the room but halted. He called Yang Xinyu and spoke very softly so that only he could hear, "Does Wu Lina has an older maternal aunt who is as beautiful as her?"

The Chairman chuckled and left.

Yang Xinyu shook his head and went back to Wu Lina who was standing and watching them with interest. She appeared to be relaxed now.

"Your father is very impressive," she said with a smile.

Yang Xinyu felt jealous and nodded slightly. He didn't tell her what his father had asked.

"I would like to stay in the lounge today," she continued.

"I want you to go to the house and relax. You've been so nervous since morning," said Yang Xinyu not taking a 'no' for an answer.

"I will go after lunch, I promise. I just want to be with you and also meet Zhou Zhili, please…" she pleaded.

Yang Xinyu looked at her innocent eyes his heart swelling with love with each passing moment. He conceded. Yang Xinyu held her in his arms and kissed her lightly on her forehead, 'Okay…"

"I will send Zhou Zhili to the lounge. Don't come downstairs to the office. I want you to come when you are officially mine," he smiled.

"But I wanted to meet Bo Xilai too," she said.

Yang Xinyu would never send Bo Xilai to meet her but he said, "Okay."

He released her from his hug and they went to the lounge holding hands.

When she was alone she went to her computer and booted it. She loved the fact that she was near Yang Xinyu… she felt protected…

In the office Yang Xinyu felt complete… she was near him… he couldn't wait to see her again…

He called Zhou Zhili to his office. "What is my schedule today?"

"CEO Yang you have two back to back meeting starting in twenty minutes. The second meeting is about the unit that we had inspected on the outskirts of the city. Its reports are in and need your attention," said Zhou Zhili with urgency.

"Okay", said Yang Xinyu rubbing his forehead. He knew that Yang Fangxu's uncle was creating ruckus. "Zhou Zhili, Wu Lina is in the lounge and she was asking for you. Please go and meet her," he added.

Zhou Zhili became excited. She clasped her hands, "Oh! I really want to meet her too. I will go after the meetings are over."

"No, you have to go now since she will leave after lunch."

"But what about the meetings?"

"You can give me the necessary documents. I don't like Wu Lina waiting for anything," said Yang Xinyu sternly returning his gaze to his documents. After all Wu Lina was his future wife and everyone in the company was expected to treat her like a queen according to him.
