Ying Yue was forgotten.

Wu Lina chuckled and tried to get up from the bed only to be pulled back. He held her tightly while she struggled weakly, giggling and pushing him off in an attempt to free herself. It didn't work. Yang Xinyu got up from the bed and lifted her to the bathroom. Twenty minutes later they came back only to sleep like there was no tomorrow.

In the evening, Wu Lina placed a call to Zhou Zhili.

"Jie, I wanted your help."

"Sure, Wu Lina. What do you want?"

"Jie, I have to buy the engagement ring for Yang Xinyu," she said enthusiastically.

"Oh! That's great."

"Can you accompany me to the City Center Mall tomorrow?"

"Yes, sure. I will take half a day's leave from the work tomorrow."

"Thank you, Zhou Zhili. Let's also have lunch outside?"

"Okay, my treat," replied Zhou Zhili with a huge smile.

Wu Lina chuckled and agreed before disconnecting the call. She was only concerned about Ying Yue. What did that woman have up her sleeve?

Wu Lina was in no mood to have lunch with Ying Yue. She wanted to make the meeting as short as possible but she wanted to know what was going in her mind. She didn't want Zhou Zhili to be involved in it. So she decided to buy the ring first and then meet Ying Yue. This way Zhou Zhili would be able to leave early.

Next day as Wu Lina was getting ready in the morning, Yang Xinyu noticed her eagerness. He smiled and approached her.

"Can I accompany you? You don't even know my size."

"I know your size," replied Wu Lina with a wink. There was no way she would let him see her with Ying Yue.

Yang Xinyu bit his bottom lip while trying not to smile. "You are becoming shameless, Wu Lina."

She went near him and gave a hug. Kissing his chest, she said, "Well, what can I say? I treated you as my husband ever since I fell in love with you. So I know everything about you." Then she looked at him seductively.

Yang Xinyu's dreamy brown eyes stared at her. They were conveying his trust, his love, his loyalty and his commitment towards her.

"You will be officially mine in a few days," he said, putting his hands on her shoulders and kissing her forehead. "I can't wait."

"How is your wound? Let's see," he said, kneeling down to see it by lifting the skirt she was wearing.

"It is better, healing nicely."

Yang Xinyu saw that the skin had started healing and it had become pink over there. In a few days it would be as good as before. Satisfied, he pulled down her skirt. "I am glad." He got up and added, "I will be going to the office today. Take the Mercedes with you. You won't drive and there will be four guards who will follow your car. If you see media, just avoid them. Don't answer their questions. Buy the ring and come straight back to the house."

"Geez, Xinyu, I am not a child!" she said rolling her eyes.

He narrowed his eyes and flicked her forehead.

"Ouch!" she cried smilingly and pecked him.

Yang Xinyu left for the office while Wu Lina started preparing herself for the day. She wore a blue silk shirt and a navy pencil skirt with light blue matching stilettos. She had left her waist length hair open, pinning only the left side with a clip made from semi-precious stones.

Wu Lina left home at 11am to pick up Zhou Zhili. But Zhou Zhili was already downstairs waiting for her.

"Jie, why didn't you come up!" asked Wu Lina, hugging her, surprised.

"Good morning, dear. I just came five minutes back," replied Zhou Zhili warmly.

Together they left for the mall. Zhou Zhili was impressed by the security Wu Lina had around her.

"Jie, don't be too flustered. Having so much security around me is restrictive," said Wu Lina with a smirk looking at Zhou Zhili's expressions.

The car stopped in front of the mall half an hour later and before Wu Lina could step out, the bodyguards had already surrounded her car. One of them opened it for her and the rest circled her. Almost everyone who was present there gaped at the scene – a pretty lady with a sidekick surrounded by four burly bodyguards walking down the aisle of the mall!

People broke into a chatter.

"Who is she?"

"Is she royalty?"

"Oh wait, I saw her in the newspapers a few days back. She is the wife of Yang Corporation CEO."

"Wow, her status has increased!"

"Look at her dress. It must be worth thousands of Yuan."

Wu Lina chose to ignore the comments and entered a jewelry shop along with Zhou Zhili. The bodyguards stayed out of the shop.

The manager of the shop, an old man in his sixties, greeted them amiably, "Good morning ladies, how can I help you?"

"I am looking for an engagement ring," replied Wu Lina gently.

"Sure." He guided them to the relevant counter and left them with a young lady.

After going through a variety of rings, Wu Lina finalized on a 5mm thick gold band with five small diamonds perched on the top in a line. It was expensive for her but that was the first thing she was ever gonna give to Yang Xinyu. Zhou Zhili asked her to buy a ring with more diamonds.

"Wu Lina, I will add to the extra amount. Please buy a bigger one. After all the CEO will wear it everyday. This one is too simple for his status."

Wu Lina was embarrassed but decided to go with her original choice.

"Can you etch our names on the ring?" she asked.

"Of course! Please give us ten minutes. What would you like to write on it?" said the sales lady.

Wu Lina wrote the words on a paper, which the lady took inside along with the ring. While they were making the payment, the ring was given back to them.

Now she had to meet Ying Yue.
