Yang Xinyu was looking like a king in his black suit and a bowtie. The white shirt beneath the coat had collar, which was lined with diamonds. The reflection of the diamonds was making his already white flawless skin all the more beautiful.

He looked at his bride, held her hand softly and they went to the elevator. He couldn't take his eyes off from her. Although the stylist was present in the elevator, he couldn't help himself. He bent down and kissed his bride stealing some of her red lipstick. It was the stylist who felt hot in the closed elevator!

They left in separate cars.

Wu Lina arrived earlier and she was escorted backstage. All the guests had arrived. Dressed in Dolce and Gabbana, Lawrence Steele, Armani and various other exclusive brands, the guests were almost competing with each other. They had taken their seats and were waiting for the bride and the groom while chattering amongst themselves.

All of a sudden they heard helicopter whirring overhead. They came out of the marquee to see that the helicopter had landed a few hundred meters away. A door was opened and Yang Xinyu stepped out. He walked towards Wu Lina who was already waiting for him with a beautiful bouquet of flowers in her hands on the stage.

The guests were amazed at this display. Yang Xinyu walked towards the canopy with the folk dancers performing the dragon dance in front of him. It looked like a scene straight out of the 11th century.

Once they reached the canopy, Yang Xinyu looked at his beautiful bride and was again spellbound. While he was looking at her Wenqian who was standing beside Wu Lina covered Wu Lina with a veil. Yang Xinyu's spell broke and he became irritated but he couldn't say a word.

Yang Chún qiàn was watching it all from her balcony. She had no intentions of joining the ceremony even is she was allowed to join. The guests who saw her sitting on a chair in the balcony, bowed in respect. Yang Xinyu had also seen her when he reached the stage. He bowed but she turned her face away. Wu Lina didn't dare to look in that direction out of fear.

The priests wrapped the ceremony in presence of all the guests who were silently witnessing it.

After the ceremony and they were announced as a couple, Yang Xinyu wanted to lift the veil of Wu Lina but one of the elders snapped away his hand. "Not now!" she said angrily.

"But that's the tradition," he whined, making all his cousins roar with laughter.

Sensing Yang Xinyu's frustration, Wu Lina giggled beneath her red silk veil.

The guests were served with five-course lunch once the ceremony was over.

As soon as the lunch was over, guests heard loud firecrackers in the sky. They went outside to see a small airplanes looping in the sky making patterns of hearts with various colors. The ten-minute display was enthralling leaving the guests dazed. It was a day to remember.

The couple was taken inside the Yang Mansion.

All of Chairman's mistresses and their children were waiting for the couple inside. There were more rituals that had to be performed. Yang Xinyu finally lifted his bride's veil and kissed her. He whispered, "My bride," in her ears.

While Yang Chen Lin was actively participating in the ceremonies, Yang Fangxu maintained her iciness.

The boys took Yang Xinyu for a couple of drinks leaving all the girls to themselves in the room.

Yang Chen Lin sat beside her sister-in-law and said, "Sister, you look very beautiful. Just like a movie star!"

Wu Lina blushed a little and said, "Thank you." She was still not familiar with them.

"Movie stars don't look so tacky," commented Yang Fangxu. She was sitting across with crossed arms mocking at the entire display of wealth on the marriage.

"If father had spent even a tenth of the money on my movie production that he had spent on this marriage, it would have greatly benefitted me and filled the purses of our company," she said with a scorn.

"But forget about it. Isn't it the best shortcut to become rich? Just find a rich heir and marry him. What do you think Wu Lina?" added Yang Fangxu mocking her.

Wu Lina didn't want to create a bad atmosphere so she just lowered her head. She didn't know about the dynamics between the families.

"Weren't you a nurse before you joined the Yang Corporation? I have to say Wu Lina that you are so capable in the art of seduction," said Yang Fangxu spouting her jealousy.

"You must teach me also."

While Yang Fangxu's mother laughed, all others in the room chose to stay quiet.

Wu Lina became miserable at that statement. Even her mother was feeling uncomfortable. She held Wu Lina's hand and nodded at her. "Don't listen to her."

But this time it was Yang Fangxu's mother who continued, "Do you even realize what it is to be the wife of the Yang Corporation's heir? Do you think you can manage yourself amongst us?"

Encouraged, Yang Fangxu continued, "What does your father do Wu Lina? I heard he is a government official. How much does he earn?"

Her mother laughed loudly and said, "Perhaps as much as I have spent on this sandal," and lifted her dress to reveal her branded sandals.

Before she could continue any further, a man's voice came from behind, "Are you talking about her biological father or the one who adopted her?"

Yang Xinyu spoke from the entrance of the door. When he was coming back to Wu Lina to take her to meet his mother, he heard Yang Fangxu and her mother.

Yang Fangxu was taken aback. "What do you mean – biological father?"

"I mean what I say Yang Fangxu," said Yang Xinyu now determined as ever.

"Just like the relationship you have with my father."

Both the mother and daughter snickered, "How can you even compare us with her?"

He looked at the mother and said, "Well, why not? Are you wedded to my father?"
