Wu Lina recognized that it was Pān Shīshī's nasal voice in the background. Once again an unknown fear gripped on her heart. Before she could ask him any further question, Yang Xinyu said, "Sorry baby, the clients are waiting. I will call you as soon as I finish my dinner."

"But Xinyu…" she couldn't even finish her sentence and the line went dead. She became upset, her night was ruined. From past three days she had started sweating a lot more than usual. At nights it was all the more troublesome.

That night after talking to Yang Xinyu, Wu Lina's emotions went into an overdrive and she couldn't sleep until it was 11pm. She waited for him to call, however he never called. Exasperated, she drifted off. But soon her nightmare came back and the darkness surrounded her. She found herself in haze with people wailing from all sides. There were hands that extended towards her trying to touch her. She felt creepy and jerked all of them away from her. But it was never ending. She felt suffocated and with a shudder, she woke up, her body covered in sweat. That night, she kept tossing and turning in her bed until the dawn.

To calm her nerves she went to her favorite spot in the garden and watched the scenery until the sun rose fully in the horizon. Her hand went to her belly making her smile. Minutes later she went inside.

Yang Xinyu was supposed to return from his business trip that day. She asked Mrs. Jiao to prepare his favorite dishes while she quickly took bath and eagerly awaited his arrival. She thought that she would have her breakfast with him, but he didn't show. Wu Lina was unable to contain her hunger anymore so she ate in his absence, being absolutely furious over his nonchalance. She decided to give him a call once she finished eating.

Yang Xinyu had straightaway arrived at the office rather than going home. His schedule was again packed with so many meetings that he was also getting annoyed. Zhou Zhili had managed his schedule nicely. In contrast Pān Shīshī was managing it poorly. Meetings that could be easily taken care of by the junior staff were falling in his roster.

Pān Shīshī was hovering around him like a fly that wouldn't buzz away from the honey whatsoever you tried.

After finishing her breakfast, Wu Lina called Yang Xinyu. But Pān Shīshī picked the call. Wu Lina rolled her eyes and said, "Give the phone to Yang Xinyu."

"I am sorry but he is in a meeting. I cannot disturb him," she said mulishly.

"Do you even know that you are talking to his wife?" chided Wu Lina.

"Yes ma'am. But he cannot come on the phone," said Pān Shīshī.

"When will he come home?" asked Wu Lina now desperate to know about his plans to come home.

"He will not go home today. Perhaps he might have to go on a business trip again,' said Pān Shīshī as if trying to claim him.

Wu Lina was very bothered. In rage without thinking twice she went to the garage to drive the car to the office. However, the three drivers out there jumped from their chairs before she could take any car on her own. The security that was assigned for her also came into action. They immediately surrounded her. She ordered one of the drivers to drive to the office. By the time she was out of the bungalow, each and every person of the security that surrounded her within two kilometers was alerted. Soon people saw a caravan of cars driving at a high speed after a white Maserati.

Inside the Maserati, Wu Lina was getting anxious by the minute. She asked the driver to hit the pedal but the driver was too scared of over speeding. It took thirty minutes to arrive at the office and before Wu Lina stepped out, a huge security circle was formed around her. No one was allowed to go near her until she went inside the building. There was an army of men dressed in black laced with modern gear and very severe expressions about them. Five security men accompanied her inside the building. Everyone in the building was informed of the arrival of CEO's wife. When the employees saw her walking like a queen surrounded by so many hefty men, most of them were impressed while a few became jealous.

Wu Lina went to the elevator and pressed the button to Yang Xinyu's floor. The security men followed her in a separate elevator.

She entered his office to demand an explanation from him but she was shocked to see that Pān Shīshī was sitting on his office table with one foot on the floor and the other one was dangling. She was singing a song. Her top two buttons were open revealing her contours.

"Where is Yang Xinyu?" asked Wu Lina furiously.

Pān Shīshī looked up and without showing any surprise at Wu Lina's sudden arrival, she said, "He is in a meeting."

For Pān Shīshī it was the best opportunity to take advantage of the situation between the husband and the wife. She had to implant misunderstandings between them in order to gain access to his bed. Once he was in bed with her, she knew how to blackmail him into divorcing his wife. She started dreaming of all the wealth she would have access to after she married Yang Xinyu. Her lips curved. Getting up from the table, she went near Wu Lina, crossed her arms and said, "Wu Lina, you must leave the office. He won't be available to meet you."

Wu Lina was shocked to hear her. She said in a menacing voice, "Please look outside the door of this office. There are several bodyguards standing who would throw you out of the building if I ask them to."

Pān Shīshī became furious and pushed Wu Lina hard. But Wu Lina, on reflex, to save herself from falling on the ground, held on to Pān Shīshī's hand with full might. In the tussle that followed, it was Pān Shīshī who fell down.
