The premise was searched for the next one hour but no one could be found. In the end, heavily armed men surrounded the entire bungalow. Another barricade was created before entering the bridge. Next day Lu Shiming ordered his men to lay electric fencing across the periphery of the bungalow.

Yang Xinyu slept like a log that night. In the morning when he woke up he didn't find Wu Lina on bed. Anxious, he stepped out of the bedroom to find her only to see that she was standing with Mrs. Jiao to make breakfast. He went to her and pulled her out, "Why are you in the kitchen? Mrs. Jiao will make the breakfast. You just stay next to me."

Wu Lina was in the midst of making shrimp dumpling soup that she had learnt from her mother. But knowing her cooking skills well, Yang Xinyu had to pull her out of the kitchen. He didn't have the heart to say that her cooking was one of the things he didn't like. But making an excuse like that was great since not only did she come out of the kitchen, he got to have her around him all the time. He smiled at his scheme.

Back in the bedroom he made her sit on the bed and said, "Baby, you got to take care of yourself. Please don't exert."

"I need to walk and do exercises. I just cannot sit around in the house all day," said Wu Lina with a puffy mouth.

Yang Xinyu looked at her intently. He opened his mouth to say something when he realized how beautiful she looked in pregnancy. Her face was glowing and her white skin had become even more supple. But none of them knew each other only he knew who all belonged to him. The Chairman had once introduced him to the people in a meeting whereby he had shown the faces of each and every person who was with them in that group. It was basically a group of mercenaries specially trained in all forms of combat, who were also practicing various professions. All of them were handpicked by the Chairman and were ready to sacrifice themselves for him at any point of time. The Chairman had granted them huge favors. And now Yang Xinyu was at the helm of it since the Chairman had decided to spend his time with his grandchild.

The next report was that of the intruder. It seemed he had could penetrate the periphery of the bungalow from the river side. They found traces of food on the eastern slopes, so he must have hidden there for a long time before waiting for the nightfall.

Since he didn't want to bother Wu Lina, Yang Xinyu just nodded at Lu Shiming and dismissed him. Then he turned to Wu Lina and said, "Lina, I think this Sunday five weeks will be over. Do we go to the doctor – for your routine checkup?"

"Ouch, you cruel woman," said Yang Xinyu following her. He came behind her and circled her on the waist. Then as if talking to his child he said, "Are you hearing that? See how cruel your mom is."

Wu Lina laughed all the way to the bedroom. Yang Xinyu left for the office half an hour later.

After Yang Xinyu was gone, Wu Lina decided to listen to the music and read the book Chairman had gifted. She had started acquiring taste for the historical fiction and classical music.

At noon, Zhou Zhili called her. Wu Lina was so happy to see her number flashing on the screen. She picked the phone in one ring. "Jie, how are you? It has been so long since we have talked."
