Vladimir had called Wenqian late in the evening. Wenqian didn't want to disturb Wu Lina so she decided to call her the next day.

In the Sapphire bungalow…

When Yang Xinyu came home, as usual, he strolled to the bedroom. But he didn't see Wu Lina there. He looked around for her in the balcony, bathroom, dining space and kitchen, but she was nowhere. Panicked, he called all the servants who were around and the security men from outside. He placed a call to Lu Shiming to find Wu Lina. Everyone was under the line of fire for not keeping a tab on where the missus of the house was, especially when she was in her current condition. In his rage, Yang Xinyu threw artifacts on the floor. "I am asking you once and for all, where is Wu Lina? If you don't find her in the next ten minutes, I will skin you alive!"

The servants shrank in fear. "Wasn't missus carrying her phone?" One of them suggested meekly to call her and find out.

Yang Xinyu yelled at her, "Do you think I haven't called her?"

"Sorry master," said the young servant, on the verge of crying.

All of a sudden, they all heard someone giggling and entering the front door. Their attention was drawn to the person. It was Wu Lina. The servants breathed a sigh of relief. The way their master threw tantrums at her disappearance was nightmarish.

Wu Lina halted as soon as she entered the living room. She saw Yang Xinyu standing with his hands on his waist, towering above all the servants and the security men. There were broken artifacts in the room. All the servants were shaking in fear.

"What happened, Xini?" she asked, walking straight up to him.

Yang Xinyu looked at her and enveloped her immediately without giving any thoughts to the audience around. "Where were you? No one knew… I got worried… Please tell people where you are going…"

Wu Lina understood the situation. She patted his back, and then released herself from his embrace. Turning to the servants, she said, "You all may leave now. Ask Mrs. Jiao to serve dinner and clear this mess."

Then she held Yang Xinyu's hand and dragged him to the bedroom.

Once they were inside, she said, "Xinyu, I was talking to Zhou Zhili. She was telling about her honeymoon. It seems they have had a wonderful time in Singapore. While talking to her, I strolled towards the koi pond. Please stop being so panicky."

Yang Xinyu nodded. He was relaxed to see her, and his nerves calmed down.

"I am seeing that nowadays, you have become all the more paranoid about my safety. Relax, baby. Nothing will happen to me…" assured Wu Lina.

He looked at her and smiled at her naivety. Gliding his hands through her hair, he said, "I am fine, and I didn't mean to scare you. Come sit by me while I finish some of my office work."

Wu Lina nodded and, before sitting near him, brought the historical fiction novel that she was reading. Together, they sat there until dinner was served.

Next day, Wu Lina received a call from Wenqian when Yang Xinyu had left for the office.

"Wu Lina, Vladimir is coming here to meet you."

Wu Lina was in for a surprise. She felt excited. But her excitement was short-lived because she realized that she wouldn't be able to go and meet him at her mother's place.

"Mother, I can't come to meet him…" she replied sadly.

"I know. He will come to your bungalow to meet you, dear," said Wenqian.

Wu Lina's excitement rekindled, "Really? That would be great! But isn't it too risky for him to enter the country?"

"Yes, it is. But he is adamant on seeing you. Wu Lina, he loves you a lot…" said Wenqian.

Wu Lina didn't know how to react. She hadn't had much of a chance to be with her father. She bit her lips and said, "Mother, I am happy that he is coming here, but I don't know how much I like him…"

"I understand, Wu Lina. Don't worry," said Wenqian.

Then she changed the topic, and they talked about her health amongst other things.

When Wu Lina finished talking with Wenqian, she called Yang Xinyu. Yang Xinyu was in a meeting, but as soon as he saw Wu Lina's face flashing on his screen, he halted the meeting and picked her call.

"Xini!" said Wu Lina excitedly. It was so loud that people who were sitting near him smiled at the endearment. Yang Xinyu blushed a little and said, "Yes, baby."

"Mother called," she said happily. "My father wants to meet me." She sounded so elated.

Yang Xinyu's face fell. His heart started beating fast, anxiety returning all over again. He got up from the chair and went outside the room. He signaled others to continue with the meeting.

"When is he coming?" he asked in a flat voice, containing his fear within.

"He will be coming after two or three days. Mother didn't have the exact date," said Wu Lina.

"Baby, do you love me?" he asked out of blue.

Wu Lina's line of thoughts derailed for a moment. She replied after few seconds of silence. "What kind of question is that? Is there something to doubt about it? I love you more than anything else in the world, Xini."

She wondered if Yang Xinyu was feeling that her love for him would get divided between her father and him.

"Xini, you are my man, and no one can ever take your place. But he is my father. There is no comparison. I don't know him. And the fact that he is coming to see me despite so much danger, how can I refuse him? Please darling, trust me," she said warmly.

Yang Xinyu's heart melted, and he said, "Don't leave me…"

"If you say that again, I will come to your office now and create a mega show in front of your employees," said Wu Lina exasperatedly. "I am not leaving you! Get it in that thick head of yours!"
