Wu Lina looked in space and said, "Hmm…"

Yang Xinyu curled his arms around her again and said, "Don't talk to her if you meet her."

Wu Lina nodded in his chest. Yang Xinyu brought his hands and rubbed them lightly over her belly. "How are you doing babies? If mama bothers you anymore, just let me know and together we will bother her doubly."

Wu Lina smiled and snuggled more into him. He stroked her hair and she slept in a deep sleep as if trying to make up for all the restless days he wasn't there with her. Yang Xinyu covered her with a comforter and slept. Both of them woke up late the next day. Yang Xinyu went to his office instructing Wu Lina not to attend her office that day. "Don't go to the office. I want you to rest nicely at home so that you are refreshed. If you want to give this one last try, then relax at home and free your mind from any trouble. In the evening it is not necessary for you attend the function also. Go only if you feel good."

"Okay, Yang Xinyu. You worry too much!"

"Of course I worry. If I had more than one wife I would have worried less!"

He ducked before the comb in Wu Lina's hand could hit him. Laughing loudly, he opened the door and was out of the room before another object was thrown at him.

Wu Lina was so peeved at his statement that she came out of the room with her hands on her hips to give him a piece of her mind but he had run away.

Later she took shower and instructed Che Mingliang to take care of the tasks that day. There were two advertisements that the company had to shoot that day. It was a busy day but Wu Lina chose to stay at home.

In the evening she got dressed for the function. She wanted to go together with her stars, so she asked them all to be present at the venue at 7pm.

When she reached the venue, she saw that all of them were there and beaming with excitement. For some of them it was their first awards function. Even if they weren't receiving any award, they were mesmerized by the settings of the place. They got to see all the big stars.

While all of them were seated in the rows much behind, Wu Lina was made to sit in the first row. When she seated, a middle-aged man came running towards her and said, "Ma'am, thank you so much for coming and gracing the occasion with your presence. I am Yin Fulai, Chairman of the Lotus Industries."

Wu Lina immediately got up from her chair when she heard him and bowed her head respectfully. "Thank you for having me here."

"What would you like to have?" he asked courteously.

"Thanks Mr. Yin, but I am fine."

But Mr. Yin asked the waiter to bring her some fresh lime. Then he took leave and rushed backstage.

Yang Fangxu was sitting in a row behind. She was so jealous with the way Mr. Yin was talking to her that she her face contorted. Since the function hadn't started and the waiters were still roaming with juice glasses in their trays, Yang Fangxu picked pineapple juice and walked to Wu Lina.

"Oh! Hello! How is the new empress of the entertainment world?" she asked sipping her juice.

Wu Lina wanted to avoid her, so she didn't reply. But Yang Fangxu continued, "How does it feel to marry a rich man? You really think that marrying a rich man will help your career in the entertainment industry?"

"Yang Fangxu, I am not interested in your gimmicks. Just go back to your seat."

"Don't you think that you overestimated your skills? You opened a media company and that too with zero experience?" said Yang Fangxu now even louder than ever. She saw from the corner of her eyes that Rosa was coming towards them.

Yang Fangxu, it would be better if you take care of your company and stop bothering me," said Wu Lina now irritated by her. She didn't want to create any commotion knowing the fact that the Chairman had come personally to attend to her. It would have looked very cheap if the world knew about the rifts within the Yang family. But Yang Fangxu arrogantly continued in a soft voice, "How does it feel to be defeated right in the first venture?"

Wu Lina became quiet. Her mind wandered to the fact how Rosa had ditched her and how much and efforts she had wasted in thinking of making a movie wit Ivan. She could feel her eyes welling up. She avoided Yang Fangxu and looked the other way. Che Mingliang came immediately when she saw that Yang Fangxu was bothering her employer.

"Madam, someone producer is calling you over there," said Che Mingliang to Yang Fangxu pointing the direction with her chin.

Yang Fangxu was surprised, "Which producer?"

"That bald one over there," said Che Mingliang.

"Oh! Thanks!" said Yang Fangxu and trotted away from there.

Wu Lina looked at Che Mingliang and asked, "Which producer called her?"

"No one ma'am. I just made that. She is a pain," laughed Che Mingliang. Wu Lina smiled at her secretary and shook her head.

Yang Fangxu returned to her seat when she couldn't identify the bald producer that had called her. There were over seven of them over there and all of them shrugged their shoulders at her question. She looked at Che Mingliang who was also seated a little away from her and realized that she had played with her. There were daggers in her eyes.

She turned her head furiously towards the other side and started fanning herself when she noticed that Rosa was also sitting in her row. She gave a beautiful smile to Rosa.
