Yang Xinyu let out a small laugh at his father's plan.

"Father, are you serious? Do you want me to become her slave for the lifetime?" said Yang Fangxu with a shocked expression.

"I have never been more serious Yang Fangxu. If you agree to sign the contract with Wu Lina's company, I will help you clear all your debts," replied the mayor.

Her mother chimed in again, "Yang Min-Chang, you are not thinking straight. How could my daughter, who already runs her own production company, sign up with Epic Entertainment? Don't forget that she produced her own movie and is a big star now. It would like a demotion for her. Her status is far above than being a star with a company."

"I believe her company is already in a lot of trouble. According to my latest resources, more than half of the company's assets have been sold, and if there is no money with you, then I am sure that the company would close soon," replied Yang Min-Change with a smirk.

Yang Xinyu couldn't stop himself and said, "Is she really a star? Her career never took off. She is nearing thirty years and do you still think that she has a chance to become a movie star? You are really getting ahead of yourself!"

Yang Fangxu retaliated, "Yang Xinyu, you are no one to judge. How does it matter if my first movie has failed? My next movie will be greater and better. I have already thought about a script." Then she turned to her father and said, "Father, you should divide your property amongst us kids as soon as possible."

The mayor became silent as he looked at her. After sometime he spoke, "Yang Fangxu, I will not divide the property and you will not get a single penny. I am still alive and the property is mine. I had given you your share, which you have wasted. Now if you like you can go and challenge me in the court because there is no law that says that while the father is alive, his children can challenge him for his property."

"Okay, then what about grandfather's property?" she had done her homework. Her mother smiled as she heard at her daughter's intelligent query.

The mayor narrowed his eyes and replied, "Yang Fangxu, do you think I am a foolish man? All his property had already been transferred to me upon his death."

Yang Fangxu didn't know what to do now. She looked at her mother for help. But there was nothing she could do. She held her head in her hand and rested it on the arm of the chair. What will happen now?

Yang Fangxu was out of options. There was no one in the market who was loaning her money. The banks had already refused. She looked at Wu Lina who was still sipping her orange juice. Wu Lina had the look of victory in her eyes. She disliked Wu Lina to such an extent that she had tried everything possible to pull her down. It's a different thing that she wasn't successful in her attempts. Then in that moment she had an idea – she could join Epic Entertainment and destroy it slowly from inside. As such the person who had bought her shares had shown considerable interest in the Yang Corporation's ownership. She could start with Epic Entertainment.

Walking around her mother, Yang Fangxu went and stood behind her. She kept her hands on her mother's shoulders and said, "Okay, father, I will sign the contract. But I have my own terms and conditions that Wu Lina has to agree. But before the contract is signed, you will have to pay all my debtors."

The mayor laughed. "No, you are in no position to make any demands. And your debts will be cleared after the contract is signed."

She was trapped. There was no way that she could come out of this. The deal was like selling her soul to the devil. She had to agree to it or else things could become murkier. Tears welled up her eyes and she said, "Okay, I agree. Let me know when to sign that contract."

The mayor looked at Wu Lina who was silently watching it all, as Yang Xinyu stood beside her. Keeping her glass on the table Wu Lina said, "Father, I am sorry but I will never sign her up with Epic Entertainment. My company's standards are too high. Most A grade stars are lining up to get a chance to just forward their application through my managers to me. Yang Fangxu is not my standard."

Saying that Wu Lina picked her glass, bowed in front of her father-in-law, and walked out of the study. 'I won't even make her my slave.'

Yang Fangxu and her mother gaped as she left the room, while Yang Xinyu laughed. As for the mayor, he couldn't really say anything. He was giving his daughter another chance to work further, however, Wu Lina had sealed all those chances. He became annoyed and left the room after her with Yang Xinyu.
