Noob Player Chapter 79

The days continued and so with the grinding. Shen and Ming had been farming the Guardian Fish for seven days in a row. In those seven days, he only increased his level by four levels. Seven days, meaning fourteen days in-game time and he only increased four levels. He was now level 21 while Ming had surpassed him in level. Ming had reached level 23, becoming the only person with the highest level in the hidden village.
Of course, it was so slow even if he had to compare himself to the top-ranking player such as ZhanQ who just reached level 35. He and the ranking 1 had the same progress but ZhanQ's level was higher, he was supposed to have slower progress since his level was much higher than him.
Yet ZhanQ managed to gain four levels in a week while Shen who was level 17 only managed to get four levels as well in a week. The Legendary Class truly slowed him down in leveling up even though he hunted higher-level monsters. Of course, there was a difference between the two, the amount of time they put in the game.
ZhanQ was a pro-player who spent his time in the gaming pod eighteen to twenty hours a day. Meanwhile, Shen spent his time like ten to fourteen hours. Sometimes he even played for less than ten hours.
Shen was eating his meal while waiting for ZhenZhen to prepare the supply for him to hunt. Today, he was hunting alone since Ming went to his grandfather's place with his family. Yue was wholly focusing on the training and Dale was the same. The two most hardworking in the village, Yue, and WealthyGuy.
Shen could hear the clanking noise from Brother Jiang's house. The man was currently working with the Guardian Fish's snout. He said something overly complicated about smithing and Shen understood nothing about it. It seemed he needed to experiment more before he would start making the equipment for them. That was big progress from the blacksmith.

'I should work hard as well. I can't be left behind by them,' Shen muttered as he chewed the soft meat of the Guardian Fish. He then checked his window status.

When he looked at the number of exp he needed for the next level, Shen subconsciously let out a sigh again. Seventy-six million exp to reach level 22, this was a crazy number.
"You should not sigh too often or you will get old soon," ZhenZhen's voice rang as she placed two trays before him. Four roasted fish on each tray. Shen reached the roasted fish and put them into his inventory, "Do you have something in your mind?"
"Nope, I am lamenting my exp for the next level. This is going to be hard to catch up with the other players and the players that play the game late could easily catch up to my level," Runner shared his thoughts as he finished the fish.
The buff notification rang in his head and ZhenZhen took the tray with her. She returned to the house and brought back two trays of roasted Guardian Fish again, "But once we form a tribe, we can earn a lot of exp actually. Don't you read the forum?"
The first tribe established by the player had appeared in the game. Founding a tribe was not easy as it sounded, but there was the main requirement to do that, it was the Token Tribe. If one had a Token Tribe, they could claim land without an owner, not in the city territory or kingdom's territory.

To get the Token Tribe, they could get it by defeating a boss monster. A random boss monster held a token tribe, the players could get that by killing a boss. Or if one was lucky enough to find a Token Tribe from the treasure chest. Or there was a way to establish a tribe even if the player did not have a token, it was to raid an existing tribe and seize it. It could be a player's tribe or an NPC's tribe.
The first tribe was founded by an unknown player. The lucky player managed to find a Token Tribe from the Treasure Chest. Many rich players tried to buy it from the player, but the player decided to build the first tribe on the server instead. The unknown player gathered more players through the forum and established the tribe in the middle of the wilderness.
Fifty players gathered and established the tribe. The result? It was a disaster, three days after they founded the tribe, it was destroyed. The unknown player shared his experience of how the tribe was destroyed.
Finding the Token Tribe was just the first step. It was easy to establish the tribe, but it was hard to defend the tribe. Yes, there was a horde of monsters attacking the tribe periodically. They had to defend the tribe from being destroyed.
The main problem was, the fifty players were all combatant class. None of them could cook food so they had to scavenge for food while defending the tribe. Another issue was they did not have a builder. If they had a builder, they could build a fence to increase their survival against the horde. Potion, they did not have enough potion stock to survive and they were far from the city as well.
They managed to survive the first three days without all of those, but the fourth day. That was a disaster. The nearby tribe, the Dark Orc Tribe attacked them. Yes, the nearby tribe declared war against them hence the tribe had to defend the tribe from the horde and also attack the other tribes. Just like that, the tribe was razed. The first tribe in the game was destroyed.
Of course, the unknown player also shared that if they successfully defended the tribe, they would get a bonus exp based on how many monsters they had killed. It was a big boost to their levels. Even though the tribe was destroyed, this unknown player did not regret it as he managed to reach level 32 in the first three days.
The unknown player managed to enter the top 50 leaderboard ranking, his in-game name was Winter. He was now not an unknown player anymore. Even though the tribe was destroyed, Winter gained fame and now the guy became a celebrity in the forum. Now he also streamed his gameplay and had ten thousands of viewers.
ZhenZhen was telling him to not get discouraged that once they established a tribe, it would be easier for him to level up as well.
"But we need at least ten people and we don't have the token tribe yet," Shen shook his head.
"Take it easy, once we are complete, we can hunt the boss monster too! We might get lucky and get the Token Tribe too," ZhenZhen smiled as she took the tray and ran back to her house. She brought another two trays out and gave them to Shen. With that, Shen had 24 roasted fish for his supply. Now he was ready to hunt more fish.
