Noob Player Chapter 95

"I have to leave this place immediately!" When Shen heard the notification, he immediately decided to leave instead of continuing watching the battle between the bosses. He would die from watching the battle between the two bosses.
He would lose 25 Hp per 5 seconds, and he only had 440 Hp. That meant he would die within a minute and a half if he stayed in the range of the frozen breath. Moreover, this was just the start of the battle. The Ice Vulture Boss would launch a stronger frozen breath later, and he would die even faster if that happened. On top of all that, his movement was slowed down by sixty percent. If somehow he survived after the battle was over, and the boss noticed him. He would die for sure with his slowed-down movement.
"I have gained enough footage for my content, I have leveled up and farm a big exp as well, I have gathered the Ice Lotus, and with bonus as well," Shen muttered in a low voice. The bonus he talked about was the Ice Vulture's bodies, the Wrath Troll's bodies, and the Wrath Clubs.
"This is enough, let's not risk it," He then turned around and left the battlefield. If he died, he would lose all the exp or even drop a level. While it was tempting to watch the two bosses fight, his level was more important than that. With that in mind, Shen turned around and left.
He followed the minimap and headed back to the cave. The trip back to the cave was faster than the trip to reach Frozen Hill. When he reached back to the cave, the mother tiger let out a gasp of surprise, "You are back!?"
Before Shen could respond to her, the Blizzard Tiger continued, "Or you did not go to the Frozen Hill?" There was a doubt in her tone. She predicted that Shen would be back at night at the fastest and tomorrow night was her estimation since he had to pass the Wrath Troll's territory and also the Ice Vulture's territory to get the Ice Lotus.

"Nope, I got your Ice Lotus!" Shen smiled and took out three Ice Lotuses from his inventory. He ran toward the Blizzard Tiger and placed the three Ice Lotuses in front of the mother tiger, "This is Ice Lotus, right?"
The Blizzard Tiger looked down at the arctic-colored flower then she looked at Shen's nervous face. The latter thought he was plucking the wrong flower since he received no response from the mother tiger.
"Did I get the wrong flower?" Shen recalled if there was any flower other than the one he got but this was the only flower he found in Frozen Hill, 'Wait, it says it's Ice Lotus. That should be the right flower,'
"No, you got the right Ice Lotus though it's not the best condition this will be enough to make the potion," The Blizzard Tiger shook her head, "I am baffled by how fast you return from Frozen Hill. I thought this will be a tough challenge for you but it seemed I have underestimated you too much, Human,"
Shen smiled awkwardly, not because the Blizzard Tiger underestimated him openly like that but because of how it addressed him. He was not used to being called human, which rang weird in his ears.
Cough!
He let out a small cough and spoke his mind, "Can you call me by name? Even though I am a human, it's really awkward to be called that. You can call me my name, Runner or Shen,"
"Hmm," There was a momentary silence from the Blizzard Tiger, "Runner? That's a weird name for sure, let me call you Shen instead. As for my name…" there was a slight in between as the mother tiger was contemplating should she tell her name to Shen or not, "My name is Lyra. You are the first human to know my name, you should be proud, Shen!"

Even though the Blizzard Tiger was wounded and needed Shen's help, it did not lose its arrogance. Of course, Shen did not mind as she was an individual that much stronger than him, an apex predator in this dangerous forest, Vales.
"Actually I got lucky so I could return quickly…" Shen told the Blizzard Tiger what happened between the Wrath Troll and the Ice Vulture, "I could go back quicker but I did not want to miss the chance of killing them so I stayed there for a few hours to hunt the dying Ice Vultures and the Wrath Trolls,"
After that, Shen took out four Ice Vulture carcasses and four Wrath Troll's carcasses, "I brought them back so you can replenish some energy before we fight Ice Boa. I don't know what is your taste so I bring them all with me, and I still have more if you want,"
The Blizzard Tiger's blue eyes shone at the sight of the Ice Vulture's carcasses. The three small tigers also came out from their mother's embrace as soon as they smelled the blood. The three small tigers immediately came over and dragged the corpses to their mother. The three small tigers were prioritizing their injured mother instead of eating it for themselves.
"We certainly want the Ice Vulture for sure. The Ice Vulture has frost energy within their body that is beneficial to me," Shen could hear the delight in her voice.
"What about the Wrath Troll?" The Blizzard Tiger did not mention anything about the troll yet. Since the Blizzard Tiger was a carnivore, he thought she would do anything. But he was wrong about that. As soon as he mentioned the troll, he saw disgust in her eyes.
"Don't mention that gross thing. The troll tastes horrible," Lyra shook her head and blew the four Wrath Troll's bodies away with a wave of her paw.
"Fortunately, I only brought two stacks of Wrath Trolls," Shen muttered in relief. There were twenty-five grids for his inventory. One grid for his sword, one grid for his spear, two grids for his roasted fish, two grids for Wrath Troll's carcasses, ten grids for the Ice Vulture's carcasses, and nine grids of Wrath Club.
Then he took out six more Ice Vultures for the family of four. From the look of it, even the three small tigers were having a big appetite for the Ice Vultures.

Flame Beneath The Snowfall
Alto is a world governed by Tones. Magic, as one might call it. Manifested through deep mental and physical conditioning, one can control the Tones in a way that is unique to them. The power to store items in gems, transfer life, affect a person's mind, and even the more primal abilities such as control of the elements. Those who have these supernatural abilities are called 'Vassals.' People that fully manifest their abilities are not as common as one might think, and not all Vassals acquire their ability through practice, given if conditions are met. In fact, those who had received much trauma manifest the Tones more frequently, albeit spontaneously. However, the rare kind of Vassals are those who manifest it from childhood. A gift, but not without its repercussions. Alto is stuck in a transitional era, where the line between modern and dated technology is blurred. One can travel to a city that has a tall skyline, bustling with people in sophisticated clothing, or a mere town governed by a lord, all the while riding on a powered vehicle. Cultures vary: Some turn to the more dated practices such as castes, others are more inclined to set equal footing on their people, led by nobility. Some are dedicated to become scholars, studying Alto's Tones, while others set foot on hunts, protecting lone towns from the creatures of some of the still-untamed lands. And the Vassals? Those willing are took under The Organization, an elusive group, its presence said to permeate all throughout Alto, taking care of Rogue Vassals that abuse their abilities and other businesses related to their side. But what is this story all about, you may ask? Well, set your sights on the upper portions of this huge landmass that is Alto. Yes, the 'whole' world is called Alto, but that is because the majority of the known people live on this large continent. Relieve yourself of the worrying tensions everywhere, and see the white snow. Trace the piercing mountaintops and focus your eyes between the valley. A town sits there. Mido. After realizing that the memories only left in his mind was the night of his town's imminent destruction in flames, a boy finds himself grasping for every fiber of his life as he lays down flat on the ground. Beneath him was soot mixed with the white snow. Fortunately, a group of investigators, who were supposed to answer their call for help, saved him from his sorry state. With a newfound second wind, but hampered by his loss of memory, he must solve his own case: Who had the audacity to set Mido, his town, aflame? Flame Beneath the Snowfall focuses on action, with a sense of adventure, but mostly the discovery of an outside world, and the protagonist's exposure to it. Add in a whisk of soft magical elements, and you get a story that I hope will be interesting to the readers. That is not to say that my work is without the sense of unnerving atmosphere, however. As a forewarning, there are elements of gore, horror, minor elements of mental trauma, etc. so it is not for all audiences. *The book is already completed. Although I have plans to continue the story (it would have to involve much larger scope in terms of world-building), I have yet to decide when to start the next entry.
