The Magician Of Sound Chapter 301
Advertisement
One week had passed since Kai and the girls arrived here. After the first day, they stepped up their game and challenged a more dangerous place that wasn't far from them.
And as expected, they kept moving the truck since it was their base.
Tasha still held the highest kill count even though Ayaka had used her magic bomb to kill many magical beasts. Ayaka's approach was to let out a single magic bomb to gather every monster in the area and kill them with a few magic bombs that she planted around it.
Even so, she still couldn't surpass Tasha as she compressed air by using her Sealing Magic. The moment the seal was opened, the air burst out and created an explosion. This way, Tasha could kill faster and more effectively than Ayaka.
However, Kai noticed that the gap between the two was not that much, so Ayaka still had the chance.
Kai was third in this competition. He only did whatever he could in this competition. Whether he would win or not, it wasn't his problem. After all, it was not like he hated to give the reward to the winner.
And because the three positions were very solid, Michelle had given up a long time ago and simply did it to fulfill her quota. After that, she would ask Kai to spoil her during the rest.
Sofia, on the other hand, didn't do anything special during this period. She might have the ability to win, but she seemed to have another thought and decided not to fight in this competition.
Kai obviously didn't know the reason behind it, and he didn't have any intention of seeking the answer. He simply acted like nothing happened.
However, Sofia somehow started opening up with him as she often asked Kai for a talk, from some idle topics to serious ones. He didn't reject her of course.
And Michelle didn't openly oppose her since Sofia didn't seem to bring a bad intention in her action like how she usually seduced him. She even began wondering when was the last time Sofia acted like that.
Nonetheless, the group seemed to have gotten pretty busy during this week because they were killing like crazy. This week alone, they somehow managed to get two thousand two hundred points. It would be possible to finish the mission within ten days, but none of them thought it would be easy.
They set the time limit to fourteen days because they had noticed the decrease of monsters in their area. There were many more magical beasts deeper into the Yukon Territory, but they chose not to get carried away and killed those they hadn't in the surroundings.

This lowered the speed of the group, but it was the most reasonable one. After having their lunch, Kai and the others were resting in their camp while chatting about some idle topics until Michelle suddenly brought an important one.
"Now that we have been here for a week, I believe those two should have arrived at their destination, right?" Michelle asked while looking at the sky.
Kai nodded. "Yes."
"Well, Evan has undergone a transformation due to the training with me, so he at least has the power to fend off a few magical beasts with his hands alone." Kai nodded.
"He also has the exoskeleton, right?"
"Yeah. He should have gotten it a few days ago. With that, I believe he can protect Isabelle well while she is killing the magical beasts."
"Still, I am a bit worried about them. Even though Evan has gotten stronger, it still doesn't change the fact that his ability is still a bit low."
"Michelle… The low in your eyes now is like someone who can defeat a B rank without much problem right now." Kai rolled his eyes.
"Hehe… My bad." Michelle stuck her tongue out.
"But… What if… What if they are in trouble?" Ayaka asked. It seemed she was also worried about Evan and Isabelle. Maybe it was due to how long they had been cooperating with each other. He bet she didn't think anything unpleasant anymore, including how she challenged their group into a group fight in the past.
After all, Isabelle and Evan finally became true to themselves. The raging fire inside her that made her keep doing something reckless had calmed down as she acted only after considering everything. Evan was also the same.
Kai still could remember how determined he was when training with him. As a man, he wanted to carry the responsibility of protecting his loved one, and Kai believed Evan would even put his life on the line just to save Isabelle. That was why he wasn't worried right now.
"Anyway, I have given Evan the most important strategy if he indeed met the worst situation possible." Kai waved his hand, telling them it was fine.
"The most important strategy?" Michelle and the others widened their eyes, wondering what kind of strategy Kai gave. After all, this was coming from the genius of warfare himself, so it must be something special.
However, much to their expectation, Kai only stuck his tongue and said playfully. "Running away of course. What do you want me to suggest except this? If you can't defeat them, then run away until you can."

"…" The girls facepalmed. They never expected that Kai would play them like this.
Tasha nodded in agreement before adding, "Well, I think that is the best strategy one could think of. I have seen the documents of their mission and realized that they are stationed in the middle out of nowhere. The nearest soldier group is around fifty kilometers from them.
"And if I were them, I shall teleport you all to that place. In this case, Isabelle will be carrying Evan to the group. With her flying speed, I think they will arrive within ten to fifteen minutes."
"Yes. From what I have seen, Isabelle has enough control to fly while shooting. Even carrying Evan wouldn't be much of a problem I guess. That way, she could shoot the enemy down while running away." Kai explained.
"I see." The girls finally bought Kai's argument as they looked at each other, wondering what they would do if they had the same mission as them. However, it was pointless to think about it right now as they were better to stay their head in their own mission.
"Anyway, if we are going to continue talking like this, it's best to do it at night." Kai stopped them before glancing in the northwest direction. "We still have jobs to do."
The girls nodded and followed him in that direction, exterminating more and more magical beasts.
Little did they know that Evan was experiencing a situation where he could only run away.
In Quebec, the two that the group was talking about seemed to be not in good condition.
The young man was carrying the young girl on his back while covering her with his water bubble. Blood covered the girl's head as she was trying hard to maintain her consciousness.
"Just hang on. My magic should be able to heal you within three minutes for the first aid. You should have no problem with your head anymore," said the man while avoiding all kinds of obstacles.
The woman gripped a bit tighter to respond to his words, telling him that she was fine.
"Yes, yes. Just you wait… When you recover, let's beat them, okay?" He smiled, thinking it would be fine to destroy them completely after this.
*Roar Roar!*
The magical beasts that were chasing them roared as they slowly reduced the distance between them.
Evan took a glance on his back and sighed before noticing a magical beast coming from his right. It was a lion.
He looked at the incoming claw of the lion before leaping to the air to avoid it. Because of this, the distance between Evan and the horde of magical beasts shrunk even more.
Evan gritted his teeth and ran as hard as he could, trying to maintain if not larger the distance.
Isabelle was too injured to do anything, so he needed to solve this himself.
*Cry!*
A loud cry from an eagle suddenly filled the entire area as it dove to the ground, trying to hit Evan. The latter stomped the ground and stepped on the eagle's head before launching himself to the sky.
If it were him a few months ago, he might not be able to do something like this. Luckily, the relentless training with Kai finally paid off.
Because of the eagle earlier, some of the magical beasts actually hit the eagle as it was in their way. Although he couldn't see it, listening to the eagle's cry already gave him the visualization of what happened when an eagle got run by magical beasts.
After he just passed the eagle, another problem appeared from his left. It was a monkey that was trying to tackle him.
Evan leaped and kicked the monkey mid-air, but the monkey was a bit faster than he expected, resulting in him getting thrown off balance after the monkey tapped his right foot.
"Kh!" Evan gritted his teeth and used his water bubble to carry Isabelle in the air, so he could roll on the ground and stand back on his feet. What made him a surprise was the fact that he felt a wind brushing his body, helping the rolling and standing back process much easier and smoother.
He looked up and saw Isabelle's smiling before letting her down again and carrying her on his back.
As much as he wanted to thank her, the situation didn't allow him to relax because the magical beasts were still chasing them.
"How could this happen…" He sighed.

Please note: the Sexual Content tag is there due to a single brief plot-relevant scene, which has a warning at the beginning. For other details, read the full description below. Rating breakdown, since that should be public info: 5 x 5*, 2 x 4.5*, 1 x 0.5* During a blackout, a frail and ragged old woman stops to ask for a glass of water from a backyard barbecue party. Given a good supper instead, she looks around the group, and tells them, "Be who and what you truly are." Days later, seven of the people from the barbecue find themselves drawn into a trap laid by a pair of wizards and their accomplices, who kidnap them into a bubble reality. All seven, who have known each other all their lives, are informed that they are not in fact entirely human: they have active fae blood, due to a series of conditions culminating with the blessing of the elderly fae woman. The transformation into fae form comes as a shock: all seven, whether originally female or male, find themselves now unreasonably beautiful women. More urgent even than that, though, is their captivity. Getting back to the real world is a higher priority than this metamorphosis that rapidly begins to feel natural... but this is only the first step, as the diverse types of fae blood they carry begin to surface. With no resources except themselves, how can they escape this prison? If they succeed, how can they possibly reclaim their lives? Just how many other faelings have been kidnapped, anyway, and what happened to them? And is there a way to make sure that their captors never put anyone else through this? Back in the real world, Kayla, who learned long ago to trust her gut instincts, is absolutely certain that something is very wrong. The pattern in the list of missing friends is easy to spot, but makes no sense at all. Then a young woman turns up at the backyard gate who knows more than she should, and even though her explanation makes even less sense, every instinct tells Kayla that Riley is her only way to get them back. If they're not quite what they were, well, that's a bridge to cross later... Just a little note: I'm a big believer in endings that are upbeat but not candy-coated, and not a fan of grim-and-gritty or of glamorized violence. These are adults in a difficult situation. However, no one gets raped, and the physical violence is, all things considered, fairly minimal. There is some harassment, sexual and otherwise, and also some mild restraint and mild verbal abuse. Complicating factors are generally wizardly or fae in nature. If I need to warn you about gender in this being all over the map, some of it reality-based rather than fantasy-based, highly diverse sexuality, or that there is (especially later) some indirect fetish/BDSM imagery and honest character discussion, then you probably should just avoid everything I write. :-) Also available on Scribble Hub.

While she might not have any idea how she got to this strange world, she does know that she's not going to waste her chance and is going to make the most out of this new opportunity to craft everything! An "Omnicrafter" was what they called people in the MMORPGs she played who maxed out every single crafting class, and that is exactly what Tabitha plans on doing with her new life! The crafting side of this series is heavily inspired by games like the Atelier series and the critically-acclaimed Final Fantasy XIV (which has a free trial, you know!)*. If there's a problem, it can be solved by crafting. Also, in case the title and synopsis didn't make it obvious enough, this series is going to focus on crafting all the things. Wooden spears and protective cuirasses? You got it! Healing tonics and farming equipment? Sure! Elaborate cupcakes and customizable fantasy golems? Darn straight! Weapons with a broken amount of different buffs applied to them due to the crafting process and materials used? You know it! The most amazing fishing rod to ever exist? Well, obviously. Fishing is the true endgame only after crafting, after all! So, if you like alchemy, blacksmithing, carpentry, cooking, leatherworking, tailoring, engineering, rune forging, magical enchanting, or basically any other type of crafting found in RPGs, come check the story out! An omnicrafter doesn't just focus on one specific type of crafting. A true omnicrafter is the best at all types of crafting! *This is a meme, I'm not sponsored by FFXIV, please don't hate me. All Stats Random
Un-reality, the greatest game in the century just launched and Chris starts to play it. He wants to change his circumstances, which are through no fault of his own. But fate doesn't let it be that simple. He gets a hidden unique class, but that class has a special ability, one that randomizes all his stats whenever it wants? What? The world truly can't be fair to him. Not even in a game. Now he has to figure out a way to make this odd quirk of his class work. When he smiles, the world loves him. When he laughs, the world fears him. (and that was my stab at trying to imitate those chinese synopses) Regular chapters, once or twice per week. On the weekends usually. I will finish this novel, be it takes 1 year or 2. It will get a proper ending. Afterall, the ending is paramount. Also, the readers might feel rewarded if they look closely while reading. I try to be quite mindful and put in interesting details or things that would come into play later. And, personally i think that reviews on this site might as well be pointless. Unless you know the reviewer and think that you share his views. Your thoughts on a particular thing (like a novel) can differ from others. So, do give it a try before arbitrarily deciding. This is my try to perfect the 'master of all/everything' type of MC, inside a proper, realistic VR world, from a game design perspective and immersion and no convenient 'convert gold to irl currency' button. It is going to be a game first of all. Not a fantasy world overloaden with status screens and skills you can't possibly keep track of. A game with all of the real world aspects to it. Not a cheap fantasy world with shoehorned in stats.

Robinson Crusoe (Completed)
Robinson Crusoe is a novel by Daniel Defoe, first published on 25 April 1719. The first edition credited the work's protagonist Robinson Crusoe as its author, leading many readers to believe he was a real person and the book a travelogue of true incidents. Epistolary, confessional, and didactic in form, the book is presented as an autobiography of the title character (whose birth name is Robinson Kreutznaer)-a castaway who spends twenty-eight years on a remote tropical desert island near Trinidad, encountering cannibals, captives, and mutineers, before ultimately being rescued.
