The Bride Of The Vampire King Chapter 21

The two men stared at each other, then toward Aaric who was still standing behind the glass room where the female vampire was still lying unconscious, when they heard Dr. Drake's voice echo in the room again.
One of them then walked to the intercom to communicate with Dr. Drake. "But, Dr. Drake, Dr. Steve shouldn't be here. This is a direct order from Dr. Miller."
Yes, some of them were already aware of Dr. Steve's intentions to get rid of the object of research, which was none other than Mila. Therefore, to avoid unwanted situations, they agreed to not allow Dr. Steve to interfere with the research team until further notice.
"No problem," Aaric said in a low voice. "We will just talk for a moment."
That was what Aaric said, but his eyes were still fixed on the odd shadow that followed Steve. His eyes narrowed sharply and when he saw the unusual subtle movement, he was immediately convinced that his suspicions were true.
"Are you sure Dr. Drake?" The same man asked him again, not sure if they could just leave Steve there, especially given his current temperament which tended to be unstable.
"Yes, I am sure, just leave us." Aaric reassured the two, but his eyes were still glued to the same object.
Although, at first, the two men seemed hesitant, they eventually left the room and closed the door behind them after saying they would be back in ten minutes, indicating that they would not be far from the room.
After the door was closed, Aaric spoke directly to Steve through the same intercom, without opening the glass door that separated the two of them.
"What are you doing here?" Aaric asked in a much colder tone than usual. His eyes turned red for a second, but it seemed that this small detail escaped Steve's attention because his focus was only on the figure of the woman asleep in bed.

"Open this door," Steve said, anger returning to control his mind when he couldn't push the door open.
"You shouldn't be here," Aaric warned him again. "I have to say that I am quite surprised you managed to find me here."
"Of course, I managed to find you!" Steve exclaimed angrily, annoyed that Aaric was taking the time to talk about unimportant things. "I know every corner of this research site! Who do you think you are talking to?!" Steve's anger escalated.
Meanwhile, Aaric snorted, annoyed at Steve's seemingly uncontrollable temper. "You can stop controlling him and talk to me directly. I am sick of being yelled at like this. "
"What did you say?" Steve squinted his eyes, staring at Aaric with a confused look, but Aaric didn't see him at all, his sharp gaze fell on something behind him, which made the man have to turn his body curiously.
And that was when Steve could see it, something he had never seen before…
At first, Steve didn't realize anything strange, but then he could see his own shadow which was slowly moving and writhing, like a living creature and dramatically, the shadow had a figure of its own, as it eventually transformed into a human form.
A woman with beautiful long golden hair, very long until it reached her legs. Her hair was so long that it could cover her naked body.
But, of all the things that caught Steve's eye, the most important one was the bright red color of her eyes, which shone in the color of blood.
The strange woman's eyes seemed to make him forget his surroundings, sucking his focus and paralyzing his nerves until he could not speak or move.
Steve was stuck there, unable to do anything as the strange woman walked past him, not even caring to look at him at all.

"Arabella," Aaric greeted the woman. Although his voice sounded calm, but he could not hide his tension that began to spread between the two of them over the appearance of this creature.
"Aaric,"Arabella replied to the greeting that Aaric gave in the same way. "How long will you wander around in that disgusting human body?" Her voice was full of mockery when she asked this and it was emphasized by the way she looked at Aaric.
"Well, you know that he captured my real body and only in this way can I survive," Aaric said indifferently and shrugged his shoulders, then his calm attitude changed again. He looked deadly serious right now. "What are you doing here? On whose orders are you here? "
Arabella smiled sourly when she heard the question. "Why? Are you worried that I came here on the orders of the vampire king? "
Aaric stepped closer to the glass wall. The intercom was still on so they could communicate without much problems and Steve was still silent, unable to move, as if he was in an incredibly shocked state.
"He gave you the order to look for me?" Aaric asked.

Aegis: Welcome to the End of the Universe
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Bernard's life wasn't particularly great. Living on the razor's edge of poverty isn't a fun place to be. Being forced to compete for jobs that you are overqualified for, against others that are often just as overqualified, was almost humiliating. There had been plenty of times where he wished his luck was better, that he could stumble onto an opportunity that would allow him to finally succeed in life. Change and opportunity is rarely easy though, particularly if the change in question is a drastic alteration to the world as he knew it. When his chance finally arrived he learned just how true that old adage could be. Be careful what you wish for. Also, monkeys are evil.

Disclaimer: I'm not continuing this story. Check out Azarinth Healer, it's a more current story where I worked on a lot of things I found wrong with this one. Main character is somewhat similar as well so if you like Eleonora, you'll probably like Ilea. I still invested a ton of time writing this so check it out if you feel like it. There's gonna be 20 Chapters 39k words total. Hey everyone. This is a story I've started writing like a year ago and thought why not post it now. This story is about fighting and magic in a pretty standard fantasy world. The story follows Eleonora through her daily life in Duneswatch and on her way to become an adventurer. No secrets here, it's pretty generic. Should be decently paced so just give it a shot if you want to. I'm not gonna sell it to you in this quick summary. The range of writing on RR is so wide we both know you just have to give it a chapter...or a paragraph depending on how unique the grammar is. Please do criticize harshly. I'm definitely no writer but everybody can improve with pointers in the right direction. Don't expect regular updates.

Grey Worlds
A mysterious incident occurred on a otherwise normal science centered world where all of the children from the age range of eight to sixteen suddenly vanished. “Where have their kids gone and will they ever return?” The now childless parents never got to really ask that question, because a strange new element replaced their lost children. This element slowly mutated the various animals that they once ruled over with their technology to the point that they were immune to their modern weaponry. The barren land of savages on a continent far away from theirs also had their children taken, but they easily mutated just like the beasts and only grew stronger thanks to the incident. A revolution of animals eventually took place after the mutations started to cause the animals to understand just how badly the humans ruined their lives and planet. Humans were the slowest to figure out how to use this strange new element to evolve, while their opponents were evolving and growing stronger by the day they couldn’t even surpass their modern technology. When humanity was on the brink of extinction a long forgotten event finally ended and their children finally started to return from the various worlds they were summoned to! It turns out that the mysterious new element that they didn’t know what to call was mana and that it’s everywhere in some fantasy planets. The children brought back a increase in technology and techniques to grow stronger with, which caused the humans to finally be able to build safe havens for their race. They grew stronger and started to finally adapt to their brand new environment. This is the story of a orphan who was taken away from his world, before he could gain a sense of attachment to the world. Who only has his older sister to care about and how he ends up adapting to the new world in front of him.------------------Dog notes by doggo First 'five' chapters aren't what the story is really about and is more of a prologue. The reason why some are separated into parts is because Doggo originally posted them as a entire chapter. The main setting is Ghost's actual world and not any foreign world. So this story was already posted once to another site or this site three years ago… and Dog is finally ending that three year hiatus! The explanation on why Dog was on a three year hiatus would of been written in the review section, but rrl doesn't allow self reviews. I'd have to create a alt just to self review which they obviously don't want even tho I'd not give myself any stars so its going to be here instead. The update schedule is a chapter a week till Dog get a editor and then two chapters a week till Dog gets enough money to pay for Dog’s bills. The final goal is to release a chapter every other day. Dog writes 4k word chapters so they are about twice as long as some of the other authors so every other day is actually more like once a day. ------------------- The part that was supposed to be the 'review' which Dog wont bother editing out repeat infomation since it wasn't supposed to go here in the first place. The first thing Dog will go over is what changed for the first 5 chapters, so that anyone who still remembers Dog's little novel and wants to continue from where Dog originally left off can decide whether or not to reread it. Also Dog is moving over to qidan simply because dog like the app they have. Dog won't go premium even if Qidan tells dog to and will simply move back to royalroad or create a blog. The things that changed over the years are mainly two important things. The first is that Dog changed the first person point of view to a third person, because Dog read a really bad first person novel and it reminded dog of dogs own novel. Dog also changed the thoughts of the character to be - - instead of italics. Finally dog changed chapter 3 completely to make the mc not seem like a homicidal maniac and introduced a important character in chapter 3.What happened to do in the three years that dog was away? Was dog at college and now needs money to eat? Was dog off in space after successfully becoming a astronaut and has now returned home with a completed novel or two? The answer is actually quite plain dog graduated from highschool and was supposed to only spend a year at dogs owners house to choose what major dog wanted to go to college for.Dog didn't do that and is still stuck with dogs owners and is sick of being a neet. Dog wants to move and buy doggy food, but dog is antisocial and doesn't want to work a simple 9 to 5 job for the rest of dogs life. Dog is a reader before dog is a author and the reason why dog got into writing was because dog wanted to write a novel without all the things dog finds annoying. Dog spent the first year reading various novels and dropping various novels. Dog is all caught up and has to much free time on dogs paws. The first year that Dog took off was the very same year that qidan came out so dog was naturally overloaded with free chapters. But now that pemium exists dog naturally has to limit the amount dog can read. Dog is addicted to reading like my very own readers and can understand your frustrations for dog disappearing for 3 years.Dog decided that dog will go back to writing 2 years ago. Dog wanted a decent stockpile incase dog has any other emergency so dog didn't post for a year but then dog decided to change the point of view which took another year.Dog has a patreon page https://www.patreon.com/mclaindog but there isn't any tiers there or goals till dog gets a editor. My final goal is to release a chapter every other day, but as long as Dog gets a editor Dog will do two free chapters a week.Dog will probably also make a kofi for anyone who just wants to send dog a tip and can't afford to donate money monthly while maybe having bonus chapters if the tip jar gets filled.

Modded Skyr*m: Real Life Edition
It seems that I died while I was playing VR Skyr*m. The next thing I knew, I was standing in front of the middle-aged man who called himself The Overlord of Dremora and Dragons. He told me they were releasing Skyr*m: Real-Life Edition. However, you have to be dead first to play it, and I was chosen as a 'beta tester' of sorts. I found myself in a semi-realistic (thanks to mods) world, and I want to have fun and relax for the rest of my life, and maybe get back to Earth. There's just a small *RAWR* problem. Setting: This happens within the world in The Legend of the Fake Hero, specifically two arcs from now. About: I am writing this for fun as a side project. I intend this to be semi-interactive as I will have polls where readers can influence the book's direction. I have the final say because I believe that too many cooks in the kitchen are not a good thing. The plan is to write it in parts that are around 1-2k words. Typically around every 3 to 6 parts, they will be combined into a finalized chapter and re-edited for a smoother read. Release schedule: When I feel like it. I'll be more inclined to write if there is more interaction, both in comments and polls, towards the story. However, I will be focusing on The Legend of the Fake Hero because that is something I own entirely and enjoy. I will try to do consistent uploads. Disclaimer: This work falls under fair use as it is a partial parity, does not affect the value of the original work, is an original story within the setting (within my setting), and is not being sold. All IP belongs to their respective owners (including myself). Currently uploading on Scribble Hub and Royal Road under the same username.
