He Xinyan locked the sliding glass door and tossed the key onto the nightstand before closing the lights and climbing onto her bed to sleep.

She smiled and comfortably stretched her arms out on the big bed, laying straight on the center of the bed.

'Ha! Let's see how he gets in now!' He Xinyan smirked evilly as she looked at the door one more time to make sure it was locked.

After checking, she closed her eyes and fell asleep.

At exactly seven minutes past midnight, a person flipped over the balcony and wiped his pajamas. The moonlight illuminated his perfect face, but the darkness of the night made it difficult for anyone to see him.

This time, he wasn't as careful and quiet, and he proudly walked over to the handle of the glass sliding door to find it was locked.

He smirked and peeked into the room to look at the girl sleeping on the bed. Did she really think a lock could keep him out?

From his pocket, he pulled out a black hair pin. Skillfully, he pushed it into the lock and twisted it. With a click, the lock turned and Gu Yechen pushed the door open.

He Xinyan was sleeping soundly on her bed, and she was certain that there was no way Gu Yechen could break into her room again. However, she was wrong.

This time, Gu Yechen placed the beautiful red rose onto the nightstand first before climbing onto the bed. He Xinyan was positioned right in the center of the bed, so Gu Yechen moved close to her and pulled her gently into his embrace.

"Good night." He whispered and kissed her lightly on the head.

The next minute, they were both asleep.

The next Sunday morning, He Xinyan yawned before blinking her eyes open. She hasn't slept this well in a long time, and during the night, she felt extremely warm and comfortable.

There was also a very nice and attractive smell that seemed to calm her down, and when she woke up, it was almost 10 o'clock already.

The first thing He Xinyan saw when she opened her eyes was a silky black wall. . . Her eyes darted up and saw Gu Yechen's smiling face. His hair was slightly messy from sleeping but he looked handsome like always.

"Gu Yechen?" He Xinyan looked towards the door and saw that it was still locked. "How did you get in here?"

"A mere lock can't stop me," Gu Yechen replied proudly. Before He Xinyan could complain, Gu Yechen spoke first.

"I helped you at the audition yesterday. This is payment."

"I never asked for your help!" He Xinyan responded but she had to admit that it felt pretty good getting the role of Concubine Xi, mainly because of Li Yuyan's reaction.

Gu Yechen scratched his head and frowned pitifully, "Please. . ."

He Xinyan looked up and blinked a few times. Wow. . . So this was the real white lotus card. . . Even her, who wasn't a very pitiful person, immediately softened up and wanted to agree to whatever he was asking for.

He was just so. . . cute! And attractive! And handsome! And perfect! By now, He Xinyan was thinking that agreeing to date him was probably the best decision she made in both lives. Just by looking at his face was like a blessing each day!

"Let me think about it. . ." He Xinyan managed to say.

Gu Yechen's expression brightened a little, "Okay! One minute!"

He Xinyan scratched her head with her eyes half-closed and pretended to think, although she had already made a decision inside her mind.

She had to admit. . . Sleeping with Gu Yechen wasn't too bad. For some reason, when he was next to her, she felt calm and relaxed. It improved her quality of sleep and she didn't feel so lonely with him like to her. . .

He Xinyan cleared her throat and replied, "Well, I won't keep the door open for you."

"Don't worry. I can solve that problem."

"I'm only doing this to pay you back for the audition. I won't let you stay forever. . . One month at most!"

Gu Yechen nodded his head, "Okay. One month is enough."

He Xinyan turned around to get off the bed and she noticed the red rose on the table. With a smile, she walked into her closet and changed into a black sweater and shorts.

When she walked out, Gu Yechen was still inside the room, but he was sitting on the couch now.

"There is an evening party tonight at the Xinhe Hotel. Do you want to come with me?"

He Xinyan's interest was sparked, "What is the party about?"

"It's just an annual meeting between some of the powerful families in Country Z to gather up and talk."

He Xinyan raised an eyebrow questioningly, "You want me to go with you?" Although she was also in the upper class, she knew clearly that she wasn't qualified enough to attend a party as Gu Yechen's female partner.

"Why not?" Gu Yechen's cuteness was gone and it was replaced with his normal cool appearance.

He Xinyan thought about all the powerful and rich people that would attend the party. If she could build some connections, it would definitely help in the future.

After all, she couldn't rely on Gu Yechen forever.

"Okay, I'll go. What time is it?"

"It's at 7 P.M. I'll come and pick you up at 6." Gu Yechen smiled a bit after hearing He Xinyan's response.

"Um. . . Gu Yechen, I have a question. Why did you help me for the audition?"

Gu Yechen stood up and walked over to the glass sliding door. He opened it and stepped out onto the balcony.

A morning wind blew by, rustling Gu Yechen's black hair with it.

With a smile, Gu Yechen said, "Do I need a reason to support my future wife in her career?"
