At night, He Xinyan couldn't fall asleep for a long time as she tried to brainstorm ways to get Li Huiran and Li Yuyan out of the He mansion.

They had stayed long enough already, and she couldn't let them continue dirtying the home of her mom and grandma.

She licked her lips annoyingly, trying to come up with a plan, but there seemed to always be a loophole or two in everything she thought of.

A face flashed through her mind, and she realized that he would be a major problem.

Su Zhiming. . .

Su Zhiming was doing quite well by now, and Bai Jiawei seemed to have more confidence in him now. To have Bai Jiawei let Su Zhiming go after spending so much money on his company would not be easy.

So, there were two options.

Either Li Yuyan would have to leave Su Zhiming so they won't be connected. . . But that wouldn't work, because it was practically impossible to have Li Yuyan let go of Su Zhiming. And as of now, Su Zhiming would also not want to leave Li Yuyan, because he still needed the help of the He family.

The other option would be. . . having Su Zhiming's company go downhill. Then, Bai Jiawei wouldn't want to hold onto Su Zhiming anymore.

He Xinyan looked up at Gu Yechen, who seemed to be asleep, and sighed.

To her surprise, Gu Yechen suddenly opened his eyes and gently rubbed her head, "What's wrong?"

"You're not asleep yet?!"

Gu Yechen grinned slightly at He Xinyan's surprised expression, "How can I fall asleep when you are squirming around so much?"

He Xinyan didn't realize that she was moving, "Sorry, I didn't know I was moving."

Gu Yechen pulled her closer to him and closed his eyes, "What's wrong?"

He Xinyan paused, "I'm trying to think of some way to get rid of Li Huiran and Li Yuyan, but nothing seems to work."

Gu Yechen slightly furrowed his eyebrows, "Go to sleep. I will help you think."

He Xinyan looked up at him and pressed her lips together, "Okay."

After He Xinyan had fallen asleep, Gu Yechen opened his eyes and stared blankly into the darkness.

Scheming? He was the best at that.

The next day, He Xinyan had filming early in the morning, and it lasted all the way until before lunchtime.

"Goodbye!" He Xinyan waved goodbye to Wu Minger, Gu Yebei, and Yang Siyue and walked out to the parking lot.

At once, she saw the familiar figure leaning against a black car near the sidewalk, and she ran over.

"You're early!" He Xinyan said as she looked at her watch. She told him filming would end at 12:30, but it was only 12:10 right now.

"I didn't want to be late." Gu Yechen smiled as he opened the car door for He Xinyan.

Inside the car, Gu Yechen maneuvered the car using one hand and held onto He Xinyan's hand using the other.

"Is my brother treating you well while filming?" Gu Yechen asked.

He Xinyan thought about the milk teas Gu Yebei bought her almost every day and decided to be nice to him for the sake of milk tea, "Yes! You should increase his allowance!"

"What did he use to bribe you?"

". . ." He Xinyan gulped, "How could you talk about your brother like that?! Your brother is treating me well and taking care of me while filming, so that is why I'm asking you to increase his allowance."

Gu Yechen chuckled, not believing what He Xinyan said, "Okay. When you go to the filming tomorrow, tell him his allowance next month will increase by 5000."

He Xinyan smiled, "Okay!"

When they entered the gate to the Xihe Estates, Gu Yechen glanced at He Xinyan and asked, "Do you want to eat lunch with me today?"

He Xinyan was more than happy to do so, "Sure!"

"Okay, I thought of something for you."

He Xinyan raised one eyebrow confusedly as she looked at Gu Yechen. Did he mean something about kicking the Li mother and daughter out of the house?

An hour later, He Xinyan and Gu Yechen sat down at the dining table to eat lunch.

At first, it was all silent for a few minutes, before Gu Yechen finally stopped placing food on He Xinyan's plate and set his chopsticks down.

"Do you want to hear what I thought up?" Gu Yechen asked cautiously.

He Xinyan swallowed her food and nodded her head eagerly, "Yes!"

It took several minutes for Gu Yechen to finish explaining his plan to He Xinyan, who took a moment to process all the information.

"Yes!" He Xinyan's eyes sparkled as she processed the plan, "Wow, how did you think that up?"

Gu Yechen smiled, "Did you think the Gu family is some easy and simple family? Scheming is an easy task for me!"

He Xinyan didn't know how to feel about what Gu Yechen said. He said it so calmly, almost as if there was nothing wrong with having a complicated and scheming family.

He then took a bite of the food on the table and stood up, "The food is cold already. I'll go heat it up."

He disappeared into the kitchen, leaving He Xinyan alone to think about what he said.

After lunch, He Xinyan returned to the He mansion, which was empty since Bai Jiawei was at work and Li Huiran went to Li Yuyan's house.

She sat down in the living room and opened the television, although she couldn't focus on anything that was playing on the screen.

How did Gu Yechen think of such a plan? Will it even work? What if his prediction is wrong?

After a while, she closed the television and stood up. As she walked out of the living room, she heard the door click open and two annoying voices.

Li Huiran and Li Yuyan walked in and they both stopped talking when they saw He Xinyan.

Li Huiran gently tugged at her daughter's arm and they walked past He Xinyan and up the stairs without speaking a word to her.

He Xinyan watched them disappear up the stairs and smirked.

It won't be long before Li Huiran and Li Yuyan would disappear from the house.

The plan had begun.

In the next week, He Xinyan didn't meet up with Gu Yechen often since he got busier with work and his part in their plan.

They discussed details about how the plan was progressing at night together, and they would eat meals together occasionally.

In Su Zhiming's company; Newstart Entertainment

After his company started to grow, he moved out of his small office. Now, the company was located in a large building with over ten floors.

On the 17th floor, Su Zhiming was having a meeting with several of the managers in the company.

"Why?!" Su Zhiming slammed the folder onto the table and stood up frustratingly.

"It was going well this entire time! Why are we suddenly losing money?!" Su Zhiming screamed.

The managers looked down, no one daring to speak.

"What happened?!" Su Zhiming sat back down with a bang, "Someone say something!"

Finally, the financial manager spoke, "We are not sure, President Su. My best guess is that some other company is hindering our growth in this project, but -"

"Then which company is it?!"

The manager sighed, "We aren't sure. We used all of our resources, but we can't find a company. Therefore, I don't think it is another company's doings. Maybe it is just because this project was doing too well, so it is losing some money now."

Su Zhiming sighed, "It better be that. Let's have another meeting in a week. Fix whatever is wrong! This project better be earning when I see you again!"

He stood up and walked out of the room, slamming the door behind him.

Meanwhile, inside the Gu Corporation.

Gu Yechen sat casually on his chair, spinning a pen around in his hand. There was a knock at the door and Chen Xiao walked in, holding a folder in his hands.

"Mr. Gu, here is the information."

Gu Yechen dropped the pen and grabbed the folder, quickly scanning the numbers and words on the pages.

"Keep going," Gu Yechen said, "I want it to lose more. A lot more."

Chen Xiao took a look at the name of the company and nodded his head, "Yes sir."

Chen Xiao walked out of the room, silently praying for whoever the boss of that company was. They had offended the wrong person.

After Chen Xiao had closed the door, Gu Yechen took out his phone and texted the first name inside his messages.

'The plan is going smoothly.'

At night, He Xinyan returned home from filming and saw Li Yuyan and Li Huiran both on the couch. When she was walking in, she had heard urgent whispering.

Li Yuyan was grabbing onto Li Huiran's arm and her eyebrows were tightly furrowed together. However, when she saw He Xinyan, she immediately let go of her mother's arm and they both stopped talking.

Li Huiran's eyes also widened slightly when she saw He Xinyan, and she cleared her throat before standing up.

"Yanyan is home!"

He Xinyan smiled fakely at them before walking up the stairs. It seems like Gu Yechen's plan was indeed working very well.
