After eating the meal, He Xinyan and Gu Yechen returned to the Xihe Estates.

When He Xinyan returned home, she was immediately met with Li Huiran.

"Where were you last night?" She asked sharply.

He Xinyan rolled her eyes and ignored her as she walked towards the stairs.

"I'm talking to you!"

He Xinyan continued to ignore her and walked up the stairs. Li Huiran ran up and pulled onto her arm, "Where were you?! Were you doing something shameful?!"

He Xinyan scoffed, "If you think being with the most powerful man in the nation, Gu Yechen, is shameful, then yes."

Li Huiran's eyes widened slightly and He Xinyan took this chance to escape from her grasp and walk upstairs to her room.

That night, Gu Yechen didn't come for a very long time. So, He Xinyan fell asleep on her own. The next morning, Gu Yechen was also not there.

However, there was a fresh new rose on her nightstand, so He Xinyan knew that he had been here. She went on with her normal day and began searching on her computer for some background information about the He Corporation because she would be going to work soon. . . with Li Yuyan.

After eating lunch, she returned to her room, and suddenly, her balcony door opened.

"Ah!" He Xinyan jumped up from her bed in shock and only relaxed a little when she recognized the person as Gu Yechen.

"You scared me! What are you doing here?"

Gu Yechen walked over and hugged her, kissing her gently on the lips. He was still in his black suit and it looked like he just came from work.

"Sorry I couldn't see you last night and this morning. I had some things to do."

He Xinyan blinked a few times, "It's okay, I understand."

Gu Yechen pulled away and grabbed the TV remote. He turned on the television and it immediately jumped to the news station.

He pulled her to the couch and he sat down first before pulling her onto his lap, "Watch."

He Xinyan obediently looked up at the television, and the woman on the screen was talking about the weather right now.

Then, about a minute later, the screen changed to a man, and the two words 'Breaking News' appeared in red on the screen.

The man began speaking in a serious tone, "These past few days have been horrible and shocking for the stock market and business industry. Yesterday, the Qi Corporation's stock dropped rapidly and became bankrupt in less than an hour. Today morning, the same thing happened to the Shen Corporation."

He Xinyan's mouth fell open and she turned to look at Gu Yechen. He seemed really relaxed as he played around with her hand.

"The Shen Corporation's stock is on the verge of collapse, but they are not bankrupt yet. We will be keeping a watch on it and report any further news. Let's go on to the next news."

He Xinyan immediately turned the television off, "Yechen, did you do that?!"

Gu Yechen calmly nodded his head.

He Xinyan blinked a few times. How powerful was he?! He destroyed two companies in less than one day!

Gu Yechen suddenly let go of her hand and stood up, carrying He Xinyan up with him. He placed her onto the bed and turned around, "I have to go now. I will be back tonight, okay?"

He Xinyan nodded, "Okay!"

After climbing down the roof, Gu Yechen entered the back seat of his car and told the driver the destination.

About half an hour later, they stopped in front of a large building.

'Shen Corporation.'

Upon walking in, there was no one in the front lobby except the workers at the front desk, and they too seemed to be very busy.

Gu Yechen ignored them and walked in towards the elevator, clicking the top floor.

When the elevator arrived, the top floor was a mess. There were papers on the ground and a lot of talking as people rushed around.

Gu Yechen calmly walked past everyone and stopped in front of the chairman's office. He knocked once before opening the door.

"Get out!" There was a loud scream as a folder hit the ground.

Gu Yechen grinned, "Uncle Shen, it seems like you don't welcome me."

Shen Lihao looked up, his eyes red. He immediately jumped up from his chair when he saw Gu Yechen.

"Yechen, I was about to call you! Sit down, sit down."

Gu Yechen closed the office door and sat down on the couch, "Uncle Shen, I will be direct with you. It is I who was attacking the Shen Corporation."

Shen Lihao nodded his head. He knew. . . Gu Yechen didn't try to hide it.

"But why?" Shen Lihao asked, "I have been good to you, right? Why are you suddenly attacking my Shen Corporation now?!"

Gu Yechen grinned and leaned back against the chair, "Your daughter messed with the wrong person."

Shen Lihao raised one eyebrow, "Xiner? What did she do? Did she offend you?"

Gu Yechen shook his head, "No, not me."

Shen Lihao let out a breath of relief, "I don't know what Xiner did, but don't you think it is a little cruel and ungrateful of you to do that to me and my company?"'

Gu Yechen grinned, "She didn't offend me, but she hurt my woman."

"Your. . . your woman?"

"Or future wife, fiancee, whatever you want to call it."

Shen Lihao was silent for a few seconds, "Ha. . . ha. . . Why didn't I know about this? Yechen, when did you get a fiancee? Didn't your parents and I talk about you being together with Xiner?"

For Shen Lihao, of course he wanted for his precious daughter to be with the best man possible. That would obviously be Gu Yechen. He would love to have his daughter be with Gu Yechen. Not only would that help his business and the Shen Corporation, but it would also be great for his Xiner.

"I don't remember my parents ever agreeing to that. Uncle Shen, a joke stays a joke. My parents and I never agreed to the 'arranged marriage' you and Aunt Shen sent up."

Shen Lihao knit his eyebrows together and watched as Gu Yechen left the room.

About an hour later, the Shen Corporation stock stopped dropping, but it didn't go up either. It will take some time for it to recover from the blow. However, it was still better than completely going bankrupt.

Shen Lihao returned home early and he was met with his wife, Li Peiyu.

"What happened?! Is everything good now?! I saw the news! Why did it suddenly drop?!"

Shen Lihao was very annoyed at the screaming of his wife, "It's not dropping anymore."

Li Peiyu let out a breath of relief, "Oh, that's good. What happened? Why did it suddenly start to drop?"

Shen Lihao didn't reply as he walked into the house, "Where is Xiner?"

"She's in her bedroom. Why?"

"Tell her to come out."

Shen Lihao sat down on the couch and closed his eyes. A worker came over and placed a cup of tea on the table in front of him.
