After a very long night, He Xinyan returned home with Gu Yechen.

In the car, she asked him several questions, like:

"So Auntie Xu was helping you and she knew all along?"

"Yes."

"That is why you came home so late these past few days? You were preparing this?"

"Yes."

"This ring looks pretty. Where did you get it from?"

"I designed it myself -"

"What?!" He Xinyan's eyes lit up in surprise, and a second later, they were filled with a happy and sweet sparkle as she looked at the ring a little differently. He designed this especially for her. . . It was their wedding ring!

By the time they returned home, it was almost midnight already.

An hour later, they were on the bed, supposed to be asleep.

However, of course they both couldn't fall asleep. They just got engaged a few hours ago! Both of them were still too excited to even think about sleeping.

What would they do instead of sleeping at night?

They talked endlessly about the engagement ceremony that just took place and even went on to talk about plans for their wedding.

Of course, He Xinyan did most of the talking while Gu Yechen listened with a gentle smile on his face.

Maybe because she talked for too long, but He Xinyan slowly felt her eyelids get heavy and before long, she had fallen asleep.

However, Gu Yechen couldn't sleep that easily. He didn't feel any sense of fatigue as he stared at his fiancee's beautiful and cute face.

Her face was a little red, even in her sleep, and he guessed that she might still feel very excited about the events that had happened today.

He had spent the past few weeks planning this proposal out, a few months to finish designing the ring himself. Every detail, every event, every person.

In the end, the result was exactly what he wanted it to be like.

Most of all, he was glad that the person he did all of this for liked it. To be honest, he was still a little scared and nervous that she might not agree right away.

After all, he wasn't sure if she was ready for marriage yet. They rarely talked about this topic. Luckily, the heavens were helping him and she agreed, faster than he had expected.

Gu Yechen lifted his hand up, gently pushing the few strands of hair that had fallen back to behind her ear. Then, he rested his warm hand onto a side of her cheek, touching her so carefully it felt like if he used any force, she would break.

He Xinyan moaned softly in her sleep and instinctively reached one hand out of the blanket. Gu Yechen thought he had woken her up, and he immediately tried to pull his hand away.

However, before he could do so, He Xinyan's small hand grabbed onto his ring finger.

"Mm. . ." She moaned softly again, moving her head over closer to Gu Yechen. He looked down at his finger, which was inside the grasp of He Xinyan's hand.

He smiled softly, thinking that his baby was so cute.

However, he couldn't focus on that at the moment. He Xinyan's two soft moaning sounds had woken "someone" up, accidentally.

Gu Yechen took a deep breath as he closed his eyes. It's okay.

He was almost there! It won't be long until he will be able to do as he wished.

Gu Yechen licked his lips as he closed his eyes in an attempt to fall asleep. Several minutes later, he did.

For the entire next two months or so, everyone's energy would be on preparing for the grandest wedding of the century.

They had set the wedding date on the first day of spring because Xu Mengya had gone to find a fortune teller, and he had told her that the best date anytime soon was the first day of spring, which was about two months away.

However, two months was not much time to prepare for a wedding, especially a wedding of this size. It was the richest man in the country marrying! Of course, it had to be grand!

The fortune-teller had told Xu Mengya that the next "lucky day" to get married would be in the late summertime already, and no one wanted to wait that long until the marriage, especially Gu Yechen and He Xinyan.

So, even though no one trusted the fortune teller other than Xu Mengya, they still decided to go with the first day of spring option.

That meant they had a little under two months to plan and get everything ready.

Everyone was extremely busy during this time, and the busiest was. . . Chen Xiao!

Since Gu Yechen was busy planning for his wedding and spending time with his fiancee, of course all the other work went to his employees and most importantly, his assistant, Chen Xiao.

Everyone else was busy preparing for the wedding. . . He Xinyan, Gu Yechen, Xu Mengya, Gu Hanyu, Wu Minger, and many more.

About three weeks after Gu Kexin's death, Gu Yechen was able to find some way to get the actual murderer to admit his crimes.

The actual murderer was indeed the person Gu Yechen had guessed, a worker of Wang Yani. After Wang Yani's death, his plan was to run away, but Gu Yechen caught him right before he could.

Using Gu Yechen's methods, he was able to get the murderer to walk to the police station himself and tell the police everything he did.

Therefore, Gu Yechen's suspicion was completely washed away, and his trial was also canceled. The entire commotion was so big that the head officer of the police station even came out himself to apologize to Gu Yechen for the confusion caused.

Since that was over with, everyone's focus was on the wedding by now.

There were many things to plan.

Wedding location, outfits, food, guests, and so much more.

Although Gu Yechen took much more breaks than usual and came off of work earlier than most days, he still had to go to work to earn money for his "baby" and future baby.

Therefore, the heavy load was carried onto He Xinyan's shoulders. . . Well, not really.

Xu Mengya had basically moved into Gu Yechen's mansion as she came over every single day to help He Xinyan make decisions and look over all of the possibilities.

Since his wife was at his son's house all the time, this also meant that Gu Hanyu came over to visit almost every day.

However, most of the time, he would just sit in the corner drinking his tea and not speaking much.

Gu Yechen had specifically said that He Xinyan would be in charge of all the wedding plans.

In other words, whatever she wanted, they were going to have!
