Kate groaned, trying to stand up...she massages her head because she feels like the world has been spinning around her causing her to stumble.
Wait...
W-where is she?
She opened her eyes wide, and saw herself suspended above the ground, with her every movement, the ground was also shaking beneath her.
Where am I?
Then she remembered that the old man shoved her into a pit, a pitch-black void, it was trying to devour her.
She screamed the loudest when she undergoes the terrifying experienced of falling into the abyss of nothingness.
She was thinking that she already died from the fall.
She pressed her palm on something, trying to stand up but every time she did that she falls on her back again...and to her horror...she saw that she was lying above a net composed of a thin like silk thread.
So... it's not solid ground, to her shock, it's a net!
What is this?
Then her eyes widened.
Up... above her, thick shadowy black figures are hovering in the air. They were like a floating ghost watching over her. As if they're waiting for something... before attacking her.
She looked down below...
In the ground about more or less fifty meters away...she saw horrifying looking creatures watching hungrily at her. They have terrifying heads with horns, bloodshot big eyes, big nose like those of a pig, sharp teeth, long tails, and scraggly looking skin.
"A-are they monsters or devils?" she asked with a shaking voice.
She has not seen such ugly looking creatures ever in her whole life. The scary sight terrifies her to death. She tore her eyes away from the chilling sight of them 'coz their saliva was already spilling out from their mouth as if ready to devour her.
Unable to come to grasp with her situation, she suddenly vomited, her vomit falls into the ground and thousands of fierce-looking creatures jumped on top of another trying to get to her vomit first.

Oh my God!
What she had come into?
This was supposed to be a castle, aren't all castle beautiful? She was expecting a grand place, but she was greatly disappointed because not only this castle looked ugly and very old and rusty outside, it was also horribly terrifying inside.
The only nice thing about the castle was the endless parade of blooming flowers growing in the garden outside.
But even that, she was doubting if those flowers outside are even real or just an illusion?
She roamed her eyes around the castle, it was just an endless dull looking wall everywhere as if the whole castle looks like a dungeon with mysterious doors everywhere.
What kind of castle is this?
What lies ahead inside those doors?
She got a pounding headache attacking her head. The walls were spinning around her.
Her head hurts just thinking and analyzing the scary place she stumbled herself into.
She's here to check on her sister Ivy!
C-could it be that her sister also suffered the same situation as her?
Or maybe not, maybe she comes to the wrong castle?
But there's no other famous castle nearby.
Bad luck... she comes to this horrific place, right now she was scared as shit, she was trembling badly, doubting if she will ever come out alive of this castle of horrors.
She looked down again...damn...those hungry bloodshot eyes creatures were staring hungrily at her. She shut off her eyes and cried.
"Please, anyone help meeeeeeeeee!" she screamed aloud.
"Hellooooooooo....!"
"Anybody thereeeeeee!"
"I need helppppppppppppp!"
She shouted for help as loud as she can.
Five minutes.
Ten minutes.
Fifteen minutes passed.
No one hears her plea. No one bothered to come to her rescue
She sighed heavily.
Those black shadowy creatures above her multiplied in numbers. She can only see darkness above her and terrifying creatures below her.

She's trapped!
No way out!
If she falls below, her body will be thrown into the jungle of hungry fierce-looking creatures to be shredded in just a matter of seconds. She can very well imagine the unimaginable pain it would cause her if those thousands of sharp teeth will attack her body at the same time, those chilling thoughts filled her mind with fright.
She needs to get out of the net and run as far as she can and find out the main door of the castle and escape!
She's going to do that!
She inspected the net, the quality is so thin, it looks like it would break under her heavyweight anytime soon.
God, she needs to get off the net, as soon as possible!
She was trying to crawl upward only to discover that the net was not tied by a rope to a pillar or whatsoever.
To her horror... the net was just floating in space... just like that... nothing is holding it...that's insanely right!
She's doomed!
Even if she can climb out of it, and jumped anywhere, she has no ground to jump safely into except the ground below which was already teeming with hungry creatures waiting for their fresh meal for the day.
She breathed deeply... as the suffocating nervousness creeps into her whole being.
Was she going to just wait here for a rescue that will never come?
Until when?
Ramza did promise to come to her aid after thirty minutes if she's still unable to come down to the base of the hill.
But even if he will come to her rescue, he will also suffer the same fate as her.
She was hoping he doesn't appear any more or else, he will also die a horrible death like her. And if her sister Ivy had entered this castle and also suffered the same fate as her, Ivy must have already been dead on her first day on the castle. With the sickening condition, she was subjected to, with no escape route in sight, and no one to help her, anyone would meet their untimely demise.
Since the safest place to be right now is the net, then she might as well not wriggle around, fearing that the extremely thin thread of the net will break under her weight.

Looking forward to any constructive criticism, however, i already have in mind, the entire plot and tone of the story, any revisions based on feedback will likely only be considered upon completion. As of now starting out, i haven't really settled on a timeline for regular updates But I aiming for at least two chapters a week at about 2000 words each. I will promise at least one chapter of that size at least once a week, until completion. I'm rather determined to put this story on paper ( or web page i guess).

Who Fixes Books Anyway?
On the pretense of a raise, the relatively new employee Pernie is called in to talk with her superiors. NOTE: This is a short story written for a class I took recently. As a result of deadlines, it does not possess the quality (or length) that I would like and is rather thrunkated. Perhaps sometime far in the furture I'll fix it up. For now, I have much more important things to work on, such as my other fiction.
