The Tale Of Three Sisters Chapter 139

A few hours later, Vearah finally wakes up from resting. She immediately went inside the healing room to check on her patient.
There are no noticeable changes in Zemeth's condition, except for one thing...
She opened the cupboard mounted on the wall and took out two bottles of herbal healing ointment. She exited the room and handed the bottles to Ramza. "You go inside and rubbed the ointment in your friend's feet," she ordered him in a gentle voice.
Ramza nodded his head and entered the healing room. The candles were still burning inside and Zemeth was in the same position lying unconscious in the marble bed. He opened the bottle of ointment and began rubbing it on his friend's feet.
While he was rubbing the ointment he noticed that the skin isn't so dark anymore. Wow! It lightens a bit! The changes are noticeable now! He looked at the ointment, amazed by its effectiveness. He spreads more ointment on the affected area with excitement and gladness in his heart.
A few minutes later, he was done rubbing herbal ointment on Zemeth's feet. With nothing else to do inside the healing room, he took his leave. When he exited the room, Vearah and Jegun were already outside the door, waiting for the news.
"How is Zemeth's condition?" Jegun asked right away.
Ramza smiled. "His blackened feet were getting lighter and it didn't spread anymore anywhere his body! Immortal Vearah's herbal ointment is amazing!" he raved.
"Really? That's good! I hope Zemeth can finally wake up from his slumber," Jegun said.
Vearah smiled. She looked at the old woman beside her. "Ramza, take Jegun with you inside the healing room so that he can see Zemeth's condition with his own eyes," she ordered.
"Thank you, Vearah!" Jegun said.
The two men entered the healing room quickly.
Jegun was eager to see Zemeth in his current condition. He went closer to the marble table and examined Zemeth's body. He was breathing normally and his skin was warm to touch. Then his eyes landed on his used to be blackened feet, he noticed the changes right away. "Oh my! His feet were healing!" he exclaimed in happiness.
Ramza smiled as well, very much pleased with the wonderful effect of the herbal ointment. "It's all thanks to this healing room and Immortal Vearah's superb medicine. I'm sure she uses other stuff to help Zemeth's body to fight the poison," he commented.
Jegun nodded his head. "I agree, healers have their unique ways of treating their patients. I don't want to ask Vearah how she did it. What matters most to us is that Zemeth can recover quickly because his lady love was trapped in the castle again," he said.

Ramza sighed. "I think after he recovered... we shouldn't rush him in rescuing Ivy. He needs a long time recuperating..." he voiced out his opinion.
Jegun agreed and nodded his head. "You got a point, I'm just worried about Ivy," he said. For the short time that he got to know the boys and the girls inside the cave, he developed an affinity for all of them. Maybe because they are all a nice bunch of people and it's easy to like them.
After witnessing that Zemeth's condition was improving well inside the healing room, the two men exited. Vearah waited for them outside.
Jegun faced the Immortal. "Zemeth is recovering well and because of that we are very much thankful for your help, Vearah!" he said.
Vearah smiled. "Don't mention it. I'm glad to be of help to you guys. I will excuse myself... because I still have to concoct medicines in my room," she said.
"Go ahead," Jegun said.
Vearah went back to her room. Jegun and Ramza went to the kitchen to help Kate prepare the dishes.
A few hours later. The table was set and everyone gathered around the round table and consumed the delicious dishes that Kate prepared for them.
Nighttime comes.
Ramza and Jegun were able to sleep soundly in their rooms for the first time since Zemeth's injury.

The following day.
Early morning.
Vearah entered the healing room and popped another five pieces of anti-poison in Zemeth's mouth. Then she checked his breathing and the color of his skin, she was glad that he's recovering well. She looked at the candles, she reminded herself that some of them need to be replaced because they been burning day and night.
She took another two bottles of herbal ointment from the cupboard for Zemeth's feet and exited the room. She handed them to Ramza outside the door. "Go inside the healing room, you already know what to do with the bottles..." she said.
"Yup." Ramza nodded his head and entered the room. He began rubbing the herbal ointment on Zemeth's feet. He was elated after noticing that the blackened feet were starting to return to its normal coloring.
Minutes went by. Ramza was done applying the ointment and exited the room. Vearah was no longer there, only the old man.
"How's it's going? How is Zemeth condition?" Jegun inquired.
Ramza grinned. "He's recovering well, his blackened feet were starting to return to normal. A few days more with continuous applying of the ointment, I'm sure his feet will be healed completely," he answered confidently.
Jegun's smile was bright, he was feeling relieved. "That's great!" he said and whispered something to Ramza. "I want to go back to the beach even for a few minutes and check on the boys and share with them the good news about Zemeth's condition. I'm sure they are waiting eagerly for the news from us," he said.

"Okay, I will lend you the portal relic so that you can come back here," Ramza said.
The two men left the house and went to the fruit garden. From there, Jegun opened the neon portal and disappeared.
A few seconds later the portal vanished, Ramza went back inside the house to keep watch on the healing room just in case his friend suddenly wakes up.
Kate was busy doing some household chores while everyone was busy with their affairs. Three hours before noon, she was able to find time to sit down beside her boyfriend and have a chat with him.
"What's wrong with Granny Esmeralda?" asked Ramza.
"You noticed also-?" She looked at him.
"Yes, she seldom gets out of her room and she seemed unusually quiet lately," he said.
Kate sighed. "Her behavior changes after having a conversation with Grandpa Jegun. I wonder what they were talking about the last time?" she muses. "Where is Grandpa...by the way?" she asked 'coz she can't find him. She wanted to ask why Granny Esmeralda was acting differently lately.
"He went back to the beach to tell the boys the good news. He will be back after making sure everything is alright there," he replied.
"Ah, I see... I also want to bring my sister Ella here to see this beautiful mountain but there are already too many of us here, Granny Vearah might think that we're already abusing her kindness," she said.
"That's right, we shouldn't abuse the Immortal's kindness. Wait until Zemeth is back to good health and we go back to the beach. That is the perfect time to bring your sister Ella here for sightseeing. I'm sure the Immortal won't mind much. As of now, we're too overcrowded here," he concluded.
He was staring at his girlfriend's pretty face wanting very much to kiss her lips, but he dared not. Afraid that he might not be able to control himself. This is not the proper place to act lovey-dovey with her. For now, he was just contented being near her.
They chatted merrily in the next hour.

Meanwhile.
The portal opened on the beach and everyone gathered around Jegun.
"How's Zemeth's condition?" asked Simuz.
Everyone was holding their breath fearing the worst.
Jegun smiled. "Don't worry guys, Zemeth was recovering well inside the healing room of the Immortal's house. His breathing is steady and his skin is warm. Overall he was recovering well!" he said.
Huge relief washed over the boys' faces. Everyone was pleased with the good news.
"How about his blackened feet?" asked Ogeme.
"It's starting to return to normal," replied Jegun, he pondered for a moment. "Hmm...my rough estimate... It would take three more days and after that, his feet will be completely healed," Jegun explained.
Loud cheering can be heard from the boys. The positive message of his statement brought solace to their anxiety.
Jegun announced. "Guys, I can't stay long, I need to go back there in the mountains just in case they needed me. You take care of each other, okay?" he instructed them.
"Yes, Grandpa!" The boys answered in unison. They went back to the beach to catch some fish and swim in the ocean while the others chopped firewood nearby.
Ella and Agran were left alone with Jegun.
"Grandpa, how's my sister doing in the mountain?" Ella asked.
"She's doing fine there, busy with household chores to help everyone in any way she can. Besides, Ramza is there also, they keep each other company," Jegun smiled. He looked at Agran. "How's everything here, child?" he asked him.
Agran smiled. "Everything is fine here. The boys are busy swimming in the ocean, goes hunting in the forest, and catches fish in the sea. Don't worry about us, Grandpa, everyone is behaving well including us," he assured him.
Jegun smiled, satisfied with Agran's answer. "Alright, since everything is well here, I shall go back to the mountains," he said.
"Ah, wait...Grandpa...we have gathered some oysters, shells, and clams awhile ago...we want you to bring it with you when you return to the mountain. Please tell my sister to make a delicious soup out of it," Ella said. She turned around and went into the direction of the kitchen.
Jegun looked at Agran. "How's the girl doing, lad?" he asked.
Agran wore a gloomy expression on his face. "Sometimes, her face turned sad all of a sudden when she wasn't looking at me," he replied.
Jegun sighed. "It's pretty normal due to her physical condition, poor Ella!" he said. He can only shake his head in pity and guilt for her condition.
Ella returned a few minutes later and handed the seafood wrapped in banana leaves to Jegun. "Please tell my sister to cook it right away while it's still fresh," she said and smiled. "Bye, Grandpa!"
Jegun returned her smile and opened the portal. The neon portal materialized in front of them. Jegun entered the portal and disappeared.
Ella and Agran went back to the house to prepare their lunch.
