Primordial Dimensions Chapter 44

A faint herbal aroma filled the whole room, while Shane sat inside the nutrition solution which opened his pores.
As Shane's body absorbed the nutrition solution, Shane felt energy seep in through the pores invigorating him. He controlled the mana radiating from the mana stones in addition to the high energy supply within his body and directed it towards the different segments in order to refine them.
Body refining consisted of refining one's internal organs, bones, skin, tendons, blood, cranium, and so on.
There were millions of refinement techniques and the higher the grade of a body refining technique was, the more concentrated the body refining would be.
Shane's physique had already reached the 4th Mortal stage but he would have to refine his entire body once again in order to receive a better result...
This was the case with every technique with a few exceptions that would continue the body refining on top of the older foundation.
If Shane's physique were to reach the 3rd Apprentice stage he would have to change his body refining technique to a higher grade. Additionally, he would also have to refine his entire body once again to remove the small flaws that the lower grad technique innately had.
This Re-refining would require fewer resources or time than the first refinings, but Shane's uncles and aunts told him that he should purchase [Perfect] body refining techniques instead. This was because the time and resources one had to utilize in the higher body refining stages would only increase substantially.
Purchasing a [perfect] body refining technique would be Shane's final goal but the costs and requirements were too high for him to handle at the moment.
All [perfect] body refining techniques were at the [Mythic]-quality. The requirements were not only pricey but the missions one had to accomplish would also be extremely difficult and dangerous.
Manuals, Techniques, and skills above the platinum rank always required the one who wanted to purchase them to accomplish missions. Sometimes these missions were even harder than upgrade missions required to increase the star rating of occupations.

The main problem with perfect techniques was that one had to purchase these techniques while being at the same stage as the equivalent grade.
This meant that Shane could only purchase a [Mortal-(Mythic)] body refining technique as long as his physique and cultivation didn't exceed the 10th Mortal stage.
Shane had already skimmed through the requirements for the [perfect] mortal body refining technique and one requirement was that he had to accumulate 1000 gold coins on his own to be able to purchase it.
Everything that Shane gathered, plucked, and killed was automatically calculated according to the selling price, as long as the system detected that it was a proper business and not fraud or a sly trick.
As such, he had already accumulated more than 200 gold on his own but he initially wanted to break through fast, instead of wasting time on a perfect body refining.
However, he was doubtful about this decision when he recalled his uncle and aunt advising him to give it a try.
Furthermore, Shane would be stuck in the basic dimension for quite some time in order to achieve the goal in his mind.
As such he was pondering over what to do...when he remembered that he was sitting within a nutrition solution whose effect would slowly diminish.
Shaking his head, Shane tried to clear his mind and he focused on his body refining once again.
Body refining focused mostly on tempering and cleansing one's body, while the mana refined all body parts from inside out, in addition to the high amount of nutrition flooding his cells.
Umbra looked at him from outside the basin and coiled himself next to a fist-sized common quality mana stone to absorb it. Meanwhile, Shane operated the mana gathering technique before his mana pool was completely filled.
With the mana inside his body and the nutrition seeping in every cell in his body, Shane started practicing the body refining technique to remove the flaws of his first four ranks at the mortal stage.

Time passed slowly and Shane's pores excreted a black and terribly reeking liquid which were the impurities within his body.
Not only would cultivation itself cleanse a cultivator's body but body refining would do the same.
However, while cultivating the mana pool, would only cleanse one's mana channels, mana pool, and everything that belonged to mana innately; body refining would cleanse the impurities within his veins, skin, organs, and so on.
Both cleansings were important for the body and would cause one to have a longer lifespan. The surrounding mana in addition to the innate mana was able to renew older cells within the body.
As Shane had already achieved a physique of the 4th mortal stage, he refined his physique, before he continued to absorb the mana in his surroundings. The mana particles around him had already decreased by a noticeable amount, and he continued to refine his physique once again.
Apparently, he would have to use three to four fist-sized (common) mana stones for a single sitting while body refining. Shane would probably have to purchase a few more of them in order to be prepared for the next three weeks of strengthening himself.
Six hours later, the mana stones were completely dried up and crumpled as Shane had absorbed all the mana utilizing them.
This amount of time was enough for him to re-refine his existing body constitution. The black reeking liquid floated on top of the water, piercing his nostrils as he smelled the stench.
Drying his wet body, Shane noticed his physique and could only nod his head in admiration.
When he compared his old body constitution on earth to his current physique, there was not even the need to think over which of the two was more enticing and admirable.
His muscles were taut and distinct, while his skin could be considered fair and smooth.
One might think that everyone with a high physique would have a nicely shaped body but that was not the case because working out was still important.
If one had a high physique but a bad body constitution, one couldn't use the refined physique perfectly without working out and training the body consistently.
As such, Shane had learned to workout and stay fit from a young age in a short amount of time, and keep everything fully occupied in order to not waste even 0.001% of his combat prowess.
This was definitely something Shane was thankful for because otherwise he probably wouldn't work out as much in his freetime as he did now.
Dumping away the accumulated impurities into a special bin, the water was discarded into the pipe connected to the mana water treatment plant. Shane shifted his gaze toward Umbra who looked at him with the desire for more mana stones.
As he took out a bunch of two fist-sized (common) mana stones, he ensured to not make the same mistake as before and waste two fist-sized(uncommon) mana stones.
While Umbra coiled around one mana stone, Shane took the other one in his hand and he closed his eyes. With the desire to get stronger, he began gathering the mana particles within the mana stones.
