Primordial Dimensions Chapter 73

Shane was aware that he had offended the RadiantRing's shelter captain, but he didn't worry about it, as the captain would be taken care of soon enough.
As for someone assassinating him or beating him into a pulp,it could only be seen as a bad joke. Nobody had seen him enter the room he was currently in, except the owner of the inn.
And even the owner couldn't see his face, because he wore his gas mask in addition to a clean robe, which he had taken out from his spatial ring to cover Umbra completely.
In the end, the only thing that the inn owner could pin him to was his devil-shaped mask, and nothing else.
Shane didn't worry about the shelter-captain, because there were too many things for him to do right now, which didn't leave him any room for such a dumb character in his mind.
As for the things he had to do; figuring out the worth of his hundreds of beast corpses had a high priority on his to-do list, right after Umbra's quality enhancement, which was Shane's highest priority.
After completing the two top priority tasks, Shane would have to increase his strength during the next 10 days to the highest possible. He would have to show his dominance once the academy would accept his application.
Once he was accepted, there would only be a short span of time for him to return to Igra in order to enter the academy.
This wouldn't take long, as he could simply teleport to the specific dimensional portal with the personal permission code Shane would receive.
As such, there would be slightly more than 10 days for him to increase his strength, which other youths most likely used to pack their stuff, bid farewell to their family, and so on.
Comparatively, Shane had more than enough time to increase his strength, as he didn't have to do any preparations. Everything that he possessed was stored within the Ancient ring of the Susurro.

While establishing a perfect mortal physical foundation, he could simultaneously increase his mana pool cultivation towards the Apprentice stage, if he wanted.
But rather than focusing too much on his mana pool cultivation, Shane wanted to increase everything consistently, while accumulating some more funds to hasten up his future progress.
He was relieved that the federation army would be sending reinforcements soon enough and also curious to know if they would eradicate the possible threat or if they would only defend the shelter and its inhabitants.
Shane would be fine with both choices but he preferred the first solution because it would end up in a large-scale battlefield with all beasts gathered in one place.
Once all the beasts would gather near the shelter, Shane wanted to sneak into the hidden elemental-crystal cave. He wanted to mine the remaining mana and elemental crystals for himself without worrying about any obstructing beasts lurking in the huge cave.
Unfortunately, there was a big downside to this solution.
The Federation's Basic-Dimension Army would lose brave men and women, which Shane didn't really want.
But even if the initial thought about the first solution was solely based on his selfish needs, it was better to attack than to defend, in his opinion.
Shane's reasoning was simple.
The beasts within the basic dimension were normally not that intelligent, except foreign intelligent races, like humans.
A large hideout of one of the beast races that were in war had already been found. In his opinion, assassinating them with an army of Assassins and hunters would reduce human casualties, instead of waiting for the purple furred wolves to gather and prepare a large-scale attack.
Maybe they would even ally with the other races they had been in a war with, due to the bigger threat they would have to face, i.e, the humans.
All of this had already happened before and Shane thought that the army would most likely pick the first solution. It was the best way to protect the newly established shelter as well as possible, without endangering the innocent construction workers that were still unaware of the threat looming over them.

Because Shane had hoped that the army would choose to fight, he had already sent Uncle Lars a detailed map of sorts with step-by-step instructions that would guide them straight towards n the Wolf den.
It was the shortest way and Shane was sure that the military scouts would be able to find it rather easily if they didn't fall on their heads.
As such, he decided to not worry about the RadiantRing shelter for now, and wait until the military arrived.
After that, he would observe their actions and adjust his plan according to their decisions.
In the end, Shane estimated that it would take at least half a day before the federation would send their troops through the dimensional portal and another for everyone to appear through the dimension planet.
In order to arrive at a decision, everything would have to be scouted thoroughly to find out what races existed near the shelter and how large their population was.
After considering everything, Shane was sure that at least three to four days would have to pass before the military would set off to eradicate the threat, which was neither fast nor slow.
Had the RadiantRing shelter been under a hazardous threat and on the brink of a collapse due to a beast tide or a foreign intelligence race siege, the federation military would have already sent their troops over.
But since nothing major had happened so far, Shane knew they would take some time.
As such, Shane diverted his attention towards Umbra, who looked at him patiently with hopeful eyes.
"It's your turn once again, little One" he said, laughing lightly. He assessed the [Quality-Upgrading] function of his skill, as a holographic screen popped up in front of him.
_______________________________
[To upgrade the quality of selected beast [Shadow-snake(Umbra)] from its initial quality (Rare) to (Extraordinary) following materials are required.
Tier-2 Mana stone [Darkness] (5/5)
Blood of a Dragon (1/1 Drop)
Daylight peony(Common) (4/4)
[Commence quality upgrade] [Y/N]
_______________________________
Every required ingredient was available inside his spatial ring, so he initiated the quality upgrade, with a simple thought
[Yes!]
Immediately after he commenced the quality upgrade, the required items emerged out of his spatial ring. The daylight peony and darkness transmuted mana stones slowly began to dissolve, revealing a terrifying amount of mana, as the cork on the vial with the wyvern blood burst out.
Floating towards the black mana fog, the wyvern-blood acted as if it was a vortex.
A powerful suction force was issued from it, forcefully taking over the black mana fog that seemed to resist for a moment before accepting its designated fate.
The mana fog compressed within the wyvern blood, coloring the crimson blood with black patterns. It slowly approached Umbra, who looked with excitement at the floating drop of blood in front of him.
Umbra immediately sensed the terrifying, vigorous, yet comfortable energy spreading throughout his body when the drop of blood entered his open mouth.
Shane was very tense when he heard a notification right at the moment as Umbra began to exert a terrifying pressure, which shocked him extremely.
[Quality-upgrade of [Shadow-snake(Umbra)] from (Rare) to (Extraordinary) will take 72 hours. Host is recommended to ensure the safety of his tamed beast under all means!]

Man of Earth
Magic is a terrifying force. Logic itself is subject to this energy, which is (logically speaking) impossible for us to comprehend. Every universe requires some version of magic to exist. That is, all but one. Our world functiouns based on a powerful and intricate net of laws that act independently from magical interference. The most notable of these is the human brain, which is capable of even more than its creator had thought possible. Naturally, this prompted the question: "How would a human fare in a world of magic?" Soon, there was a bet. Next, a human was selected. Finally, an odd young man with a strange black hat was introduced to his new world, and all restraints were removed.

Into the Feywild
I've never considered myself to be much of a fighter. In fact, I had no notion what it was all about. I couldn't envision a war amongst people, especially my own. In this odd realm, a timid half-elf has little chance of success. Especially with minimal experience. I've only fought as a means of survival, self-defense, if you will. I had known only humans, so the concept of elven culture and family was foreign to me. And yet, here I am, in the midst of a tremendous battle between two Feys and a God. I never planned for things to turn out this way, or for me to get caught in the great shambles of war—a conflict between good and evil. My two companions are practically strangers to me, knowing nothing but my name. This journey was not something I had planned or wished for, but it was what the Gods gave me.◈ ◈ ◈Meli, a young half-elf traveling the Material Plane, is unexpectedly captured while on her travels, only to become a member of an odd group of individuals. Crane, an older wizard castaway from his college for practicing unnatural magic, and Kurky, a youthful and lively gnome who is as fascinating as they come. Meli's curiosity gets the better of her as she chooses to accompany them on their not so concrete journey into the Feywild. Little did they know of the constant war raging within this woodsy plane. Maybe Meli will discover everything she's been looking for, embracing love and pleasure along the way. Or perhaps she'll become a part of something bigger. © Copyright to EmmeMeadows 2021

Your Mundane Transmigration Into Another World
My second fiction here, it might be similar to the first, but I will focus on improving consistency as it was not very good. The idea is to make a completely ordinary isekai story, but make it right - no cliche, some originality etc. I do not yet know where it will go, but it will involve dungeons at some point, transmigraiton, demons, elves, humans, undead. I will strive for regular updates every friday, but my writing speed is that of a slime (not a native speaker), so I might not deliver every week. Feel free to write what you think, I welcome feedback. HIATUS - will continue after I am done with my other book, I am unable to write two at the same time.
