Primordial Dimensions Chapter 167

Frer was already waiting in front of the Dimension Portal when he arrived.
"Sorry for being late! Did I keep you waiting for long?" Shane asked, worried that Frer would be annoyed with him.
However, instead of answering, she only pointed behind him before she turned around to walk towards the Dimension Portal.
"Let's meet in the [Giant Fluare-plain] dimension." Shane only heard when he looked behind him to see several Valkyries staring at them with a sly smile on their face, while the Valkyries' eyes held a mischievous twinkle.
"Don't they have something better to do?" He mumbled before he rushed after Frer.
They paid two silver coins as a transfer fee to enter the Giant Fluare-plain dimension, that most humans called the giant plain because it was nothing but a flat expanse of land for as far as his eyes could see.
The only unique feature about the giant plain dimension was that humanity had built its very first shelter there. It was still standing, despite having faced the brunt of the weather and time, that may have left it worn out, however it couldn't shake its foundation, which was an exceptional feat.
Considering the fact that the shelter was around 200 years old, this was phenomenal because in the past, it was extremely difficult for humanity to protect themselves inside the Primordial Dimensions, let alone a whole immovable shelter.
When Shane thought about this, he faintly recollected that mankind was still considered an infant race according to the Primordial Dimension standards because the Dimension-Portal had only appeared slightly more than 200 years ago.
It was already a shocking feat for a race to develop as fast as humanity did, which was only possible through the system's undiscriminating treatment that gave everyone a fair chance to survive and thrive.
In the end, mankind and other races didn't know much about the system save that it helped everyone in becoming stronger.
However, it was unsure why exactly the system did that, who created it and the dimension, and finally what exactly its goal was.
Was the system creator good or bad, someone with a greater goal or was it just a game?

Nobody really knew and one could only hope for the best.
Meeting up with Frer inside the Giant Fluare shelter after walking through, Shane could only see her glaring at him as she asked
"What did you say to 'clear' the misunderstanding others have about us?" She asked in an enraged tone, and Shane could only furrow his brow because he had never imagined seeing Frer so angry. He had always thought of her as a shy and reserved person, so this side of hers was new to him.
'Is she only acting as if she is shy? That can't be it, right?' He asked himself, ignoring Frer's question for a moment which caused her to fume in rage.
Approaching Shane, Frer wanted to lecture him as he replied
"I didn't say much, only that I asked you to help me with my creation of bloodlust and that you learned the Slaughterer's Path which is also helpful for me, considering that I want to learn it too.
After that, I just added that the Valkyries shouldn't interpret too much into it and that it could make others uncomfortable!"
Hearing this, Frer halted in her tracks and pondered for a moment.
"Then why did they follow me with such an impish look?" She asked herself loudly to which Shane could only shrug his shoulders
"Maybe you acted weird? But that doesn't matter, right? Can we start with the demonstration of bloodlust again? I feel like I can comprehend something soon, there is only a small, unknown factor preventing me from knowing it all!"
Shane was impatient to start with his training and rather than bothering too much about the Valkyries he would rather start right off the bat.
Thinking about the other Valkyries' train of thoughts was useless and might even end up in disgust when one would find out something weird.
It was always better to refrain from poking one's nose in other's business as long as it didn't involve oneself or the people around.
'I acted weird?' Frer thought while walking outside the shelter next to Shane when she thought about her behavior this morning.

'Everything was as usual...I think?' Not being able to find something odd, a sudden memory appeared in her mind as one of the Valkyries had asked her in the morning as to why she smiled so much.
To that, she had answered "Am I not always smiling" which caused her sister to giggle before she walked away.
'This has to be it!!' Frer concluded as she blurted out "This b*tch!"
Hearing this, Shane couldn't suppress his chuckle anymore, because not only was it the first time for him to hear Frer curse but her expression was also extremely funny to see.
Unfortunately, when Frer noticed this, she released her killing intent and mana to envelope Shane as she said
"You want me to teach you, right? Let's start right now!!"
His heart stopped for a moment and Shane could only complain that he was so naive to himself.
Looking for a good area to spar with each other, both took out their curved longswords to fight.
However, before Frer could even start, Shane raised his hand, saying something that confused her as her eyes widened in shock.
"Please wait a moment, I need to regulate something! Please don't be afraid, alright? Hehe."
Using the [One with the World(Unique)] title to regulate his world seed's mana absorption, Shane removed all restrictions, allowing the Hidden Paradise to absorb all mana in its surroundings without holding back.
The mana particles that were scattered several hundred meters around him were drawn to him, like moths to a flame. The mana particles started to gather around him because of his innate amity towards mana, which he had received through [Artemis' blessing]
Within a matter of seconds, Shane was completely enveloped with a thick layer of mana particles that wanted to enter his mana pool and world seed.
Once mana particles entered the world seed, they would be instantly seized and stored away, only to be used once required.
When Frer felt the terrifying suction force pulling her towards Shane, she couldn't help but change her whole demeanor and enter her combat stance, planting her feet firmly on the ground. For a confused moment, she had a feeling that something bad happened to him as his entire body started to shimmer in a faint white light.
However, after activating her mana gathering technique, she noticed the astronomical amount of mana around him, which caused her to look at him with a dumbfounded expression.
Not sure what was going on, Frer was only glad to see that Shane's expression mirrored hers, telling her that he was as flummoxed as her, while both of them tried to unravel the mystery of what was happening.
It didn't take long for Shane to get a grip on himself as his face shone with a radiant smile.
'With such a high mana absorption, I shouldn't have any issue with harboring the world seed, even if its demand for mana increases exponentially!'
Averting his attention to Frer who was still bewildered, he innocently asked
"There shouldn't be a strong beast in the shelter who can threaten you, right? It would be bad if something were to kill both of us because I absorbed all mana in the surrounding…."
Smiling foolishly, Frer couldn't help but feel the desire to beat Shane up.
He didn't even think that she needed any explanation!
Taking a deep breath, she tried to calm down as she said
"The Giant Fluare-plain doesn't have any beast with a strength equivalent to an Expert state with a mana purity of more than 85%. This, however, means that I'M your worst problem!
In my opinion, learning through real combat is the easiest way...I'll adjust my strength and you can show me what you learned during the last week!!"
Hearing this, Shane was relieved and frightened at the same time because Frer's eyes had turned scary and there was only one thought lingering in his mind that could describe the following combat session perfectly
[Learning by getting beaten up!]
It was not something he looked forward too but one couldn't help but acknowledge its efficiency!
