Primordial Dimensions Chapter 196

Emperor Kidar's voice boomed through the entire arena that remained silent as not a single Elemental dared to raise their voice.
The only fact, indicating that the Emperor was heard by the Elementals was that tens of thousand holographic screens manifested within the arena in a matter of seconds.
Shane was showered with several hundred challenges in the first 20 seconds but he remained deathly still, not moving a single inch while he waited patiently.
He knew that displaying any outward sign of being nervous would tell his opponents that he was weak, while he was currently doing the exact opposite.
His gaze was firm and he straightened his back, planting his feet in the ground demonstrating a disciplined manner, while his desire to fight someone strong faintly emerged.
With this, Shane hoped that a few stronger Greater Elementals would try to challenge him.
To the Elus-race he was an unknown being, who they knew nothing about.
As such, a few Elementals were reluctant to be the reason for their race's honor to be damaged if they were to lose.
Meanwhile, Shane had nothing to lose except that he wanted to fulfill the Emperor and Empress' request to defeat his opponent in an overwhelming manner.
However, instead of picking a normal Elemental being, Shane thought that he had to give his all while fighting against a Greater Elemental.
After a few minutes, he had received a few thousand challenges and filtered the Greater Elementals at the peak-Apprentice and low-Expert stage.
There were still several dozen possible opponents left and Shane was unsure of who to pick.
As such, he turned around and shared the information about his possible opponents with the Emperor, Empress, and even Ilya.
"I don't know how to determine which one of them is the strongest."
Ilya who heard this was astonished by Shane's confidence as she subconsciously replied,
"Pick Cedir, the Greater Wind Elemental. He should be the strongest out of the ones who challenged you."

"Alright, thanks."
Picking Cedir as his opponent, Shane was about to walk down towards the center of the arena, when he heard Ilya behind him suddenly ask.
"Are you not afraid to lose? Considering that you look so confident right now, wouldn't you disappoint me and my parents?"
'Disappoint you? Do we even know each other?' Shane asked himself, not knowing what the Princess was talking about.
Thus he simply replied, without much meaning,
"If you're disappointed, that means your expectations are high, aren't they?"
After he was done talking, Shane walked down towards the arena where a handball-sized mana core, enveloped in a distinct green glowing liquid was floating, waiting for him.
'Does he want to intimidate me by releasing his full form when the fight starts?' He asked himself.
Thinking about it for a moment, Shane concluded that it was possible which caused him to smile.
With a broad smile, he could only apologize to his opponent in his mind because intimidating him with such a petty trick wouldn't work.
Instead, Cedir, the Greater Wind Elemental who floated a few meters away from him should prepare himself!
"I don't like holding back, please be careful" Shane said to warn his opponent as his eyes turned cold, showing Cedir how serious Shane was.
The kind and peaceful aura radiating from Shane had been replaced by his fighting spirit as he adopted a close combat stance.
Instead of using a weapon, he thought that it was better to fight bare-handed because he had a premonition that he would accidentally kill his opponent if he were to use a weapon, even if he would dull it considerably.
As he took a deep breath and readied himself, the AI started the countdown to initiate the spar.
At the exact moment when the AI announced 'Start', the Greater Wind Elemental's mana erupted as he released his complete form. A gigantic green Lynx charged towards Shane, not hesitating for a single second.

Enveloped in a strong gust of wind, Cedir was much faster than Shane had expected.
However, instead of retreating, he only smiled before he used his title [One with the World(Unique)] to completely unleash his world seed's mana absorption.
Once that was done, Shane switched to his [Berserk-Hunter(F)] title.
After he utilized his title's [Berserk] skill, his strength, mana circulation, and mana-outburst increased by 10% for the next 10 seconds.
He enveloped himself in a thick membrane of mana while circulating a small part of his mana pool's mana within his body. Going even further, Shane also transferred some of the mana absorbed by his world seed to his mana pool.
Shane's whole body began to glow brightly as he thought,
'I was told to go all out!'
With this thought, he exerted the [Slaughterer's Path] technique while releasing his whole bloodlust-killing-intent in an instant.
As he enveloped his whole body with the crimson-colored bloodlust-killing-intent, Shane groaned because his whole body had begun to ache.
It was the first time for him to use the world seed's mana transfer ability to such a degree.
Additionally, he exerted the Slaughterer's Path technique which added another burden to his body coupled with the title's skill [Berserk] that he had activated.
However, instead of feeling burdened, his mind was at ease and he felt an adrenaline rush when he noticed how strong he became.
Shane could hear a light crack from the ground below him when he pushed off his foot from the ground, as he accelerated his speed.
Shane's whole demeanor changed in an instant, shocking the spectators to the core. Cedir was utterly dumbfounded and tried to retreat when he sensed that Shane's strength had increased by a large margin.
Shane had transformed into a ferocious tiger from a fawn, as he emerged in front of the Greater Wind Elemental who was too slow to evade the uppercut Shane executed.
Enveloped in a thick membrane of mana and another layer of his bloodlust-killing-intent, the uppercut whizzed through the gust of air that enveloped Cedir before Shane's fist came in contact with the Greater Wind Elemental's green liquefied mass.
As he heard a loud splashing noise and felt a certain resistance, Shane realized that he was able to touch, hit and probably even injure Elementals as long as he enveloped his physical body with mana.
Cedir was barely able to control himself, as the impact caused by Shane's uppercut flung Cedir high in the air before he could react. He stared with a panic-stricken face as Shane jumped and pushed himself from the ground to shoot towards him.
Cedir tried to manifest a windshield around him to defend against Shane's next attack, only to see that Shane's leg was already above him.
Using all his might, Shane thrust his leg with a terrifying acceleration which targeted the center area of Cedir's origin form.
The windshield was conjured in haste and was a feeble defense put up by Cedir. It had many flaws because of the lack of time and the sheer terror instilled by Shane in his mind As such, Shane's leg broke the windshield effortlessly and hit Cedir who didn't have any tricks in his arsenal. Shane met no further resistance, as he mercilessly bashed his opponent into the ground making small cracks appear on the ground's surface.
Cedir's Lynx form turned unstable and Shane knew that it was almost over as he landed on the ground, barely two meters away from Cedir.
However, the fight was far from over. Shane recalled that he was asked to defeat his opponent in an overwhelming manner. Thus, he swiftly turned towards Cedir and reached for the Elemental's mana core with his hand clawing at it with his bare hands with cold eyes.

Explore the summer before her senior year that triggered the domino effect of Elizabeth's emotional and psychological breakdown that lead her to take her own life.
