The Dream Saga Chapter 11

The forest was chilly and spooky, the atmosphere there was dark and gloomy it was covered in mist as it was some kind of abandoned cemetery. I felt like going back to our camp, but we had no choice we had to cross the forest because that was our only option. I looked at Skyler and Sabir to check their situation if they were as scared as me or not.
But Sabir was kind of calm, maybe because he lived in that kind of atmosphere since his birth. While Skyler was troubled as hell, I felt a disturbance in her mana that was kind of unusual. I thought maybe it's because she was scared. While I was thinking about all this stuff, I felt that someone was pulling my sleeve. It was Skyler.
"Kai, I'm getting a bad feeling about this place, like something bad is about to happen!" Skyler stuttered in fear as the forest was scary.
"Oh, come on! Skyler, don't be like that, it's just that you're frightened, every forest is like this at night, they look spooky but they're completely normal. You can trust my knowledge about forests and woods." Sabir tried to calm her down.
"No Sabir, it's not like I'm scared of this forest or the dark, it's something else," She replied to him while keeping an eye on the forest.
"Hey, stop fighting both of you, we've already got enough problems—"
"Wait, is that a lake!" I scolded both of them because they were disturbing me while I was focusing on the sound of water, that was flowing somewhere around the forest.
Sabir whooped "Yeah, it's a lake Kai! We've been walking for around an hour, let's rest and refill our bottles here and then continue after that. How about that?"

"Hey! Hey! I'm getting a scent of blueberries, it's right there I guess, I'll go get them it'll work as a snack throughout the journey." Sabir spoke while sniffing the scent of the berries.
"Alright, we'll be at the lake, don't take too long," I told to Sabir as he ran to get the berries for us.
I and Skyler headed toward the lake while Sabir went to get the berries.

"Well, let's see where the scent of the blueberries was coming from 'huh," what was that sound?" Sabir exclaimed after hearing some kind of sound...
"Anyway, it may be just in my min—"
Sabir! Sabir! Sabir!
Far from a distance, someone was screaming Sabir's name
"Again! It's Kai!"
"Kai! Is that you! What happened! I'm coming! Hold on!!" Sabir panted and screamed back at Kai's voice.
he turned around in an instant and ran for Kai, but as he made his first move forward...
Swooooooooooooshhhhhhhh!!!
An enormous cloud of fog blinded him for a second, and as he opened his eyes, he found himself near the lake where Kai was supposed to be.
He was bamboozled and frightened at the same time, but he still tried to look for Kai, but Kai was nowhere to be seen. Instead, a woman who was bleeding extensively was there, sitting on a rock.
The bleeding woman turned back and looked at him straight in the eye. She asked for help in a soft voice...
"Are you crossing the forest too? You're hurt pretty bad you better stop that bleeding!"
"I can't do it myself can you help me with it?" The woman asked Sabir with an innocent look on her face.
He hesitated at first, but after looking at the condition of the woman, he felt no danger from her and came forward to help her.

"Ah, I don't have time. I need to find a friend of mine, but he would've helped you too, so I guess I should too!"
He took a cloth out of his bag and tied it around the woman's bleeding leg as a bandage. The woman who he was helping caressed him as tied a bandage around her leg.
"You're such a sweet guy, I never expected someone to be this kind in this world, well nice moonlight ring you've got there!" the woman spoke in a seducing voice while touching Sabir's fingers softly
"Miss, I guess I should go now. Please, can you let my arm go!" he felt suspicious of the woman and tried to get away from her, raising no red flags.
"Oh, where are you going so soon? We haven't even introduced ourselves yet!" The woman clasped his hand as she saw him moving away...
"LET MY HAND GO! YOU FUCKING MANIAC!." He pushed the woman away and struggled to run away from her, using all his strength.
"Huh! What the hell! Why I can't move is it a spell! What is happening!" He cried out in confusion. He turned his head back and saw that he was being pulled by a hundred of the woman's hands.
"Ah! What the hell I shouldn't have helped her in the first place, where's my haladie!" He grunted and pulled out his haladie, and slashed the hands which pulled him back just after cutting a few of the woman's hands he jumped back to himself in a fighting stance.
"You were praising this moonlight ring, right? Now let me show you what it is capable of," Sabir screamed while wearing a vile smile on his face.
In a sec, the hands' Sabir sliced off the woman's body, takes shape of zombies and circles him.
"Ah, what a shame I wanted to love you, wolf, but looks like you don't want it, anyway I'll drink your blood instead. As we're arch enemies," the woman giggled
Awooooooo ! Sabir howled and transformed into a werewolf as he activated his moonlight ring.
"You are a Vampire! I knew it. No other creature except a vampire drinks a werewolf's blood."
"Yeah, I'm a vampire, you recognized me, but it's of no use since I'm going devour you after defeating you!"
"If I lost to scum like you, it'd be a shame on my entire race. So bring it on!!" Sabir yelled at the Vampire, now he was in the mood for a fight.

Lone: The Wanderer [Dropped Version (includes original draft of the rewrite's first volume)]
Nine-to-five. The daily grind. Life. Painful years of school. Working as a slave for some undeserving corporate big-wig. The monotonous life of unemployment. We all experience this in one way or another, and we can all conclude one thing: it's dull. Such a fact rings true even for the fabled Lone Immortus, a powerful nine-tailed Golden Foxkin. However, what would you do if your monotony was suddenly ground to a halt and you were thrown out of your comfort zone along with a young girl forgotten by time? Perhaps you might have done things differently, been more organised, immediately died, gained control of the world in a matter of days, but this is Lone's tale, not yours. Watching two insecure people struggle to survive and find their place in an unfamiliar land just might be enjoyable to witness. Who knows? One thing's for certain: it won't be an easy path for them to tread, and what could possibly be more entertaining than watching people endure hardships and grow? I know of at least eight gods that would answer with, 'Absolutely nothing.' I wonder, after seeing this journey from start to finish, how would you answer? [Goal of 2 chapters per week, the only exceptions being announced breaks or emergencies] A/N: This story is in the middle of a rewrite, so please forgive any noticeable plot holes and wonky chapter numbers. I am working on it every day, so understanding would be greatly appreciated. The new cover art is a courtesy of the very kind and talented ssddx. This novel is a participant in The Writer's Pledge
