We arrived at the execution just after walking for 5 mins, a huge crowd was gathered there to see the criminals being hanged.
It was bizarre to see people being so energetic to see others die, indeed life as a commoner in any world was crucial.
While I was thinking about all this the commander who was supposed to carry the whole operation of execution came onto the stage with a list in his hand. He looked at the criminals and started to announce the names and crimes of the criminals while we were looking at them from a distance.
" The first convict 'Jojen Potts' you're are accused of murdering a foot soldier on round and you've been seen doing it in front of two witnesses, the court has found you guilty and sentenced you the punishment of death " the commander read the paper in his hand loud enough so everyone in the gathering can hear.
"The second victim 'Michael Knox' you're accused of aiding bandits of the devils' road and we have got a testimony of a knight, the court has found you too guilty and sentenced you life imprisonment "
"Now the last and the most heinous one entering the country in the middle of the night as thief without a permit, you've been caught by the night patrol team it is a direct sentence for doing it so without any trail 'Killian Pheonix ' you have been sentenced to death".
"NOOOOO!!!!! IT'S ALL LIES!!! I WAS SLAUGHTERING VAMPIRES AT THE BORDER , YOUR SOLDIERS DRAGGED ME IN HERE!!!" the third guy screamed so loud that It felt he was not lying.
In the meantime, diververted my eyes and asked Sabir "what do you think he's lying to save himself or he's speaking the truth?? ."

"He said vampires, I don't think he's lying because I faced three vampires on my way here and I almost died, and the forest of strangers is in the border of the state so he might be saying the truth" Sabir exclaimed and explained everything in a serious tone
"So, if he dies it will be wrong !! Don't you think so?? " I exclaimed. It was indeed unfair.
"But I think it could be a well-framed lie because it is like a deathmatch, if a werewolf faces a vampire even though we're arch enemies!! So I don't think a normal person can kill a vampire easily" Sabir scratched his chin.
"WAIT!!! STOPPP !!! STOP THE EXECUTION FOR A MINUTE " in between the chat I yelled loudly at the commander who was in charge of the execution.
"Who's there? Who do you think you're yelling at!!!" the commander replied to Kai in an annoyed manner
I moved towards the stage with my horse , the people who stood there gave me a weird look but bowed as they recognised me, the Killian guy was looking at me in a confused way.
As I arrived at the stage I dismounted my horse and stood there proudly it was the moment I boasted.
"You can't recognise me! I'm 'Kai Reid' your king ".
"I'm sorry your grace! Please forgive me for my bad behaviour!" the commander bowed and began to apologise in a frightened manner with a 180 degree turn in his behavior.
"Ohh it's okay you were doing your job, I'm here to prevent any kind of unnecessary execution!"
"So here my friend Sabir wants to ask you something!"
Sabir moved to the stage and untied the Killian guy's handcuffs and inquired him "what are you? You're not a human right?"

"I'm a Dhampir, a Vampire and human hybrid. I travel across the continent to slay vampires who cause unnecessary bloodshed" the Killian guy replied to Sabir in a cold, low and deep voice.
"Kai he's a real vampire hunter, you can believe my instincts as I'm a Werewolf" Sabir looked back and told me about the Dhampir.
"Commander, untie his legs and hand give back his gear to him!" Kai ordered the commander as soon as he got the green light from Sabir.
After setting the Dhampir free we told him we were sorry that we were mistaken about him, but instead of accepting our apology the dhampir interrupted us
"Don't apologise to me , if you feel sorry buy me a meal!"
"A meal? It'll be okay? sure then"
We got into a cafe and ordered a large set of meals for him because he looked way too hungry.
"I'm Kai Reid, the Leviathan king of this domain " I introduced himself to the dhampir while he was eating.
"I'm Killian Pheonix, I am a Vampire hunter"
"and he's Sabir volks, he's a Werewolf"
"What did you say??Werewolf! Sabir! Volks! What are you talking about , it must be fate that I met you again" the Dhampir stopped eating and talked in a shocked tone as he knew Sabir
