Loving A STRANGER Chapter 428

Kylie coughed a little, then said, "Not a bad idea."
Ethan glanced at her. "If you want to check it, you can come to my company anytime you want."
Lucas said at once, "Lord Ethan is one in a million. Kylie, you don't need to worry about that."
"Whom are you working for here?" Kylie looked at him.
"Um, I think I should call the directors now. See you around!" Lucas made an excuse and left at once.
Seeing the couple, Kylie and Ethan were having some fun with each other, he better stayed away.
"You don't have confidence in me?" Ethan asked Kylie when Lucas was gone.
"You're so outstanding and charming. There must be some women who try to seduce you." Kylie leaned on his chest. "I hate them when they make eyes at you."
Ethan held her hand and kissed its back. "I won't give them a glance."
"Great!" Kylie said.
At this moment, Lucy walked to them. "Mr. Parker, Mrs. Parker, old Mrs. Parker just called and invited you to dine with them."
"Thanks, Lucy," Ethan said, then stood up with Kylie from the sofa. "Have you found a good housemaid for our mother?"
"Yeah, she was Khloe's assistant and turned to Lucas for a new job a couple of days ago," Kylie replied.
When they arrived at the Parker family's house, Kylie was surprised to meet Matthew.
He didn't remember that he still had a wife until he had squandered all his savings, and his aging body couldn't satisfy those young girls anymore.
Taylor didn't bother to look at him but stayed by old Mrs. Parker's side all the time.
Matthew had said a lot and made many promises in front of old Mr. Parker, but old Mr. Parker never smiled at him. Right when he felt hopeless, Ethan and Kylie walked inside.

"Ethan, been a while! Please, help me say something." Matthew strode to Ethan. He wanted to pull his hand but didn't dare to do so. "I know I'm a jerk. I've brought shame on the whole family. I don't deserve your forgiveness..." Saying that he slapped himself.
Seeing his red swollen face, Ethan still wore a cold face.
Old Mr. Parker, instead, didn't have the heart to see his own son slapping himself right in front of his eyes, so he stopped Matthew. "Alright, stop playing pitiful! It's useless."
Matthew turned to face old Mr. Parker. "Father, I know I've done a lot of bad things, but I promise I'll change. Please give me a chance."
Old Mr. Parker glanced at Ethan, then looked to Taylor. "You should apologize to your wife!"
"Sure." Matthew walked to Taylor. "Taylor, please, we've married for so many years. Please forgive me this time. I promise I'll never cheat on you again."
Taylor, however, turned her head to another side and refused to meet his eyes.
Kylie noticed Taylor's hands clenched into fists, and she understood Taylor was in the middle of a mental struggle now.
Matthew was Taylor's first man, and Taylor was a traditional woman who thought she could only marry once in a lifetime, and shouldn't leave her husband no matter what had happened.
Nevertheless, what Matthew had done hurt her deeply.
It was a tough decision for her to make now.
She needed time to test Matthew's loyalty, instead of sweet nothings.
Kylie, all of a sudden, opened her mouth at this moment. "Matthew, I think you must do something to prove your words and make Taylor happy."
Matthew turned to look at her.
There was a touch of hatred flashed by his eyes, but it soon was replaced by humility.

He understood it clearly that Kylie had an absolute say in the Parker family now.
If it hadn't been for Kylie, he wouldn't be in a miserable condition now, his son wouldn't have been put in jail, and he would be the chairman of the Century Group.
Matthew was full of hatred towards Kylie, but he didn't dare show any hint of it before Ethan's face.
"Right, Kylie's right." Matthew pretended that he agreed with Kylie. "Taylor, you don't need to forgive me right now. You can see my performance first before you make your decision. I promise I can change, and we can be happy back together."
Taylor glanced at him and did her best to compose herself. "Let's see."
After that, she walked to Kylie and held her hand. "Kylie, why don't we go to the kitchen together? What do you want to eat? I can tell them to cook for you."
"Sure." Kylie understood Taylor wanted to leave here, so she loosened her hand around Ethan's arm and looked to old Mr. Parker and old Mrs. Parker. "Father, mother, please excuse me."
After they walked out of the front hall, Taylor said to Kylie, "It's all my fault. I told one of my friends the good news after you called me yesterday. I didn't expect she would tell Matthew right away."
Kylie patted her hand. "It's fine, but I think you do need to test his loyalty this time. You can never forgive him easily."
"I understand. Men never cherish a woman who they could easily get," Taylor sighed.
"Even though you decide to forgive him, you can't let him be involved in your business in the fundraising," Kylie said. "You must seize the right of finance in your hands tightly so that he'll respect you."
"Kylie, I honestly don't know how to thank you." Taylor flushed. "I treated you so badly before, but you care about me so much."
"Let bygones be bygones." Kylie smiled.
"You're right." Taylor wiped her eyes. "Nicole will be back this winter vacation, and I hope we can visit Aiden together."
"No problem, I can arrange it for you," Kylie said.
In the front hall, Ethan coldly stared at Matthew as usual.
He had caught Matthew's every look at Kylie, and he wouldn't give Matthew any chance since Matthew dared disrespect, Kylie.
The hall fell into a stalemate all of a sudden. Matthew had a pair of sore legs after standing for a long time, but he didn't dare to sit down because old Mr. Parker didn't say a word.
Seeing Ethan enjoying the coffee on a comfortable chair, he could only approach him, trying to chat with him.
"Ethan, I read it in the newspaper a few days ago that the Century Group is already among the Global 500 now. Congratulations!" Matthew raised a smile.
To his astonishment, Ethan was able to build the company, which almost had gone bankrupt to be so successful within a short time.
If he could have a position in the company again, he wouldn't lack money. As long as he had money, he could have countless young beautiful women.
However, he was just a joke in Ethan's eyes now.
"Well, I don't know which issue of the newspaper you read, because it's already something that happened in the last month," Ethan said.

Trailblazer
The story of a man who accidentally wrote another world into existence. Everyone breaks away from their mundane daily life in one way or another. Our protagonist, an unfortunate consequence of circumstance, being no different, often escaped the harsh reality of life by writing stories of an alternate world of swords and magic. Though he recognized the difference between reality and fantasy, he could've never imagined what would happen, when the line between the two blurred as lightning struck down from the skies, and his escapism fantasy became all too real... After he came to, he would soon learn that things in the other world aren't quite as he remembered them to be. The world he wrote of had become but a shadow of its former self. Albeit hesitant at first, he sets off on a quest to find out the secrets behind the Trails, yet even then, he can't help but wonder... Can he really bring his world back to its old glory? —————————— I have never written a story before in my life and now I'm doing so in a language I don't natively speak. Groundbreaking quality is probably not something to be expected, but I do my best to keep things readable. With the necessities out of the way, both constructive criticism and other suggestions are very much welcome, and I'll do my best to take them into account when writing future chapters.

To Blunt The Sharpest Claw
The Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels are a series of New Fable genre novels that involve cats and dogs and high adventure and romance and espionage and food-fights and hotels and explosions and car chases. With large casts, exotic locations and an absurdity only possible in the absence of human characters, the Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels blend Wind in the Willows with James Bond, though with more cafes and fewer badgers. This submission is the third title in its Morigan Trilogy, beginning two-thirds of the way through the series' longest adventure yet. Here's a quick recount of what's happened so far: When Oscar Teabag-Dooven, a Velvet Paw of Asquith, is ordered to investigate how a mysterious poet, the Ar'dath-Irr, is able to travel instantaneously around the world, two very bad things happen. Firstly, he meets Lydia, an insane librarian who punches everyone in the face, and secondly, the Ar'dath-Irr reveals he is intent on taking over the world. Although this second thing might be considered worse than the first, Oscar feels differently following Lydia’s destruction of a cafe, a library and his face in one afternoon. In comparison, thwarting world domination just seems easier. Along with Binklemitre, a fellow Velvet Paw of Asquith, and Lydia, Oscar infiltrates the Ar’dath-Irr’s realm of dark poetry to discover the dog not only intends wrenching the world apart but has no intention of cleaning up afterwards. As a result, Oscar decides it’s all too hard and goes home to have a bath. After lots of arguing and the sort of food fight that posh restaurants were invented for, Lydia and Binklemitre convince him that they must stop the Ar’dath-Irr for several reasons, one of them quite serious. A vibrant cast of characters collide as Oscar, Lydia and Binklemitre battle the Ar’dath-Irr and his disciples in an adventure involving exploding cafés and appalling hotels, car chases and inadvertent surgery, dreadful poetry, lots of arguments and at least one temper-tantrum, all of which draw the three into dark and convoluted corners of a world they weren’t aware existed. Moreover, any chance of sitting down and discussing things over some buns disappears when Lydia punches the Ar’dath-Irr in the face. This results in her having a psychotic episode and Oscar getting run over by an ambulance. Although Binklemitre suffers neither, he witnesses both, which is almost as dreadful, though not nearly so messy. An enormous battle ensues, followed by a dinner party and then everything explodes.
