"Seriously?" Nate was struck dumb for a second. "No way!" He walked near to Stephen and observed him around his face trying to find any hints of a human-skin mask.

However, he failed. If Ethan hadn't been standing in the middle, he would have pulled the doctor's face to feel its texture.

"He isn't Stephen?" Nate still couldn't believe it. 

Ethan had never made such a mistake before. Since Ethan told him Stephen was in the room, Stephen must be in the room.

"Let him go!" Nate waved his hand. Ethan didn't say anything, too, as he tends to let his little brother leave in peace.

Dozens of people who surrounded the door moved away at once but still pointed their guns at Stephen's head.

Stephen glanced at Ethan, then walked ahead with confidence. He didn't seem scared at all.

Seeing the doctor leaving, Nate waved his hand again. "Let's go catch the jerk inside!"

Hearing that, Ethan stopped him at once. "Kylie is still on the bed."

"Oh," Nate nodded, "I can guard at the door. I must catch him today!"

The moment he finished his sentence, the door of the delivery room was opened again.

Two nurses pushed the patient bed out, and Ethan followed them up, walking to the VIP ward without delay.

Nate guided his people dashing inside, but there was nobody in the room. "What?" Nate turned to look at the two nurses, then suddenly smiled. "Good boy, Stephen. You disguise yourself as a female in order to escape." Once he seized the nurse, she just snorted. 

"What are you talking about? I am not Stephen," 

"What?! Common don't pretend anymore," 

"I am a nurse who assisted the Doctor that let Mrs. Parker give birth. You've mistakenly identified me as another person," 

Nate was stunned, but he sure she's not Stephen when he thoroughly checked the nurse's face. Clenching his fist, he let go of the nurse, walked out, and then checked the other wardroom.

Kylie woke up when she was pushed into the intensive care unit. The first thing that appeared in her sight was Ethan's hand.

"Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?" Ethan asked her with concern.

Kylie shook her head. She wanted to ask something about Stephen but was out of strength.

A nurse said to Ethan, "She needs rest and could only make some little movements after 12 hours."

"Thanks." Ethan moved the patient bed a little higher so that Kylie felt more comfortable lying on it.

At this moment, Nate dashed into the ward all of a sudden and stopped a nurse from leaving. "Good boy, what's your breast, cotton or silica gel?" Saying that he reached out his hand and grabbed the nurse's boob.

The nurse was struck dumb for a few seconds, then flushed in an instant. She raised her palm and slapped Nate across his face. "How dare you!"

Kylie was confused and looked at Ethan. Ethan, instead, only smiled but said nothing.

Nate had never been slapped by a woman before, except Fannie.

However, he didn't realize he made a terrible mistake until he felt the soft thing in his hand was real.

"S-Sorry." Nate felt utterly embarrassed, then ran towards another nurse.

That nurse was very young and was already scared by his rude behavior. Seeing Nate running to her, she fell on the ground in fear. "I don't know anything. Please don't."

Nate was surprised, then turned to ask Ethan, "Ethan, which one is him?"

"Neither," Ethan said in a deep voice.

"Um..." Nate glanced at Kylie but didn't dare move ahead.

Kylie then realized Nate came here to catch Stephen, and Stephen must have left with Ethan's permission.

She always hoped to find Stephen not to punish him according to the law, but in order to alleviate the conflict between the two brothers.

Since Ethan already let Stephen go, he probably did that to thank Stephen's help during her delivery or for the sake of Stephen's genuine care towards her.

It wasn't necessary. The point was that Ethan let bygones be bygones.

"Lord Nate, do you come here to see the babies?" Kylie smiled.

"Yeah, I come here to see the babies!" Nate put on a broad smile at once.

"My mother has them," Kylie said.

Nate nodded, then gave his people a look to tell them to retreat. "Thanks, I'll leave you two some space."

"Alright, leave now." Ethan chased him away.

Nate could only wave goodbye to Kylie. "Have a good rest, Kylie. Fannie and I will visit you and the babies again tomorrow."

Kylie nodded. When Nate was gone, she said to Ethan in a low voice, "Thank you, honey."

Ethan smoothed her hair. "I should thank you. Now I have a son and a daughter at the same time."

"Really? Is it a girl?" Kylie got excited with joyful tears in her eyes.

"Yes, a boy and a girl." Ethan beamed. Knowing that Kylie totally forgot the agony and torture she just had suffered.

Ethan stood up and poured a glass of water for Kylie.

After resting for a while, Kylie asked, "Will you tell mother about Stephen's existence?"

Ethan shook his head. "She just accepted the news of Stephen's death. I don't think it's a good idea to tell her he's still alive. At the right time, I will let her know. After all, she had suffered so much for the past few years. I can't bear to see my Mom suffer again," Kylie understood it. If Barbara knew Stephen was still alive, she would do her best to find him.

If the news that Stephen was still alive went abroad, he would have to live the rest of his life as an escaping criminal. Ethan doesn't want his twin brother to live his life in a mess. He suddenly recalled those moments they were in a good relationship. Things had changed when Kylie appeared in their lives. They love one woman, which triggered a lot of misunderstanding and revenge for Stephen's side. 

"Penny, on your thoughts," Kylie said and held Ethan's hand. 

"I wanted to let him live freely. Maybe he will realize all his mistakes when he will meet Dinah again. Stephen is a lost immortal yet still remains my twin brother. I love him, you know, but we can't stay near each other because we love one woman, and that is you, honey!"

Kylie was stunned, and tears fell from her eyes, "Ethan, you're such a good husband despite the fact you're not human. When are you going to change me into an immortal? Hey, I can't live with you like this, watching you didn't grow old and our children who inherited your blood,"

Ethan lowered down head and kissed her lips, "We will do it when you're strong enough because it's not as simple as you thought. We need to move back to the Island that my mother had gifted you earlier to protect our children. We can't let the public know that they're not human. Changes to our children might occur earlier, and I can't let any mortals know we existed in this human world,"

Kylie nodded, "I understand, and for the sake of our children, I will follow you from now on,"

Before Ethan could answer, footsteps and laughter soon sounded outside the ward, and Barbara, along with Adolph, walked inside.

"Kylie, thank you for what you've done!" Barbara beamed. "The boy looks the same as Ethan when he was a little boy."

"I think the girl is prettier." Adolph also smiled with happiness. "She's as beautiful as Kylie."

Ethan stood up and let Barbara sit on the chair, while Adolph stood right behind her.

"Kylie, we finally have a pair of twin boy and girl in your generation," Barbara said. She couldn't be happier now. "My older sister and I always wanted a younger brother when we were kids, but I hoped to have a daughter when I became a mother myself."

"We can if you want," Adolph said.

Barbara flushed. "We can't. We're too old to do that now."

"I don't think so. We can do that anytime you want." Adolph argued.

"Don't embarrass yourself before, kids!" Barbara said, then turned to face Ethan. "Ethan, the housekeeper, just called me and told me that your phone is powered off."

"Yeah," Ethan said. "What's up?"

Barbara looked sad all of a sudden. "Well, when you carried the babies in your arms out just then, the housekeeper told me Pupu passed away."
