Yan Xiaoran stumbled backward and held on to the bedpost, her breathing quickened as if she was running for a few meters non-stop.

"If you're looking for Alina, she already left an hour ago." She suddenly heard someone speaking behind her and when she turned around, she saw that it was Madame Giselle.

"Do you know where she went? Why didn't you stop her? And what were all those papers?!" She fired the questions at him.

She couldn't believe that Alina really left her without even saying goodbye.

Madam Giselle walked towards her with crossed arms. His tall figure made it look like he was a beast. Shaking his head, he said, "I don't know where she went and I didn't stop her because even if I did, she will still leave and might even punch me in the face in the process."

Yan Xiaoran didn't want to agree but somehow, she could imagine Alina doing all that. Unlike her, Alina was a strong-willed woman and if she set her head and heart into something, she will do anything to achieve it.

"As for the papers that you're asking me about… Don't you already have an answer for that?" Madam Giselle bounced the question back to her.

Gulping loudly, Yan Xiaoran wanted to deny it and tell him 'no', but she already read the last letter from Alina and understood that Alina already intended to not own any of the titles and certificate as it didn't say in the papers that Alina transferred it to her.

But what she couldn't understand was why must it be her when Alina was the one who worked hard to build everything?

Sighing, Madam Giselle sat on the chair near the bed. He also couldn't understand what Alina was thinking about letting such a weak woman have all the things she worked for.

Alina used to describe the young woman before him now as strong and filled with determination but from what he could see, there was only a weak and timid woman before him.

Suddenly, as if he could see his torn self in front of him, Madam Giselle felt like he needed to do something.
