Alexander watched Yan Xiaoran move swiftly to take the omelet out of the frying pan. While doing so, she was cursing him under her breath and it only made him happy with it.

No one has ever cursed at him while in his presence. If there were others who did that, they would have to pay for the consequences of their actions.

The last time someone cursed at him, Alexander could still remember that he had pushed that person's face towards the pool and not let him breathe for several seconds before letting that person breathe once again.

Yan Xiaoran never knew and seen the way Alexander punished people and make them regret their actions but it seems that in the near future, Alexander has to be careful so that she won't see that evil and wicked side of him.

He feared that she would hate him if she ever saw that evil side of him and walk away like the other people whom he thought would accept him. Unbeknownst to him, Yan Xiaoran didn't care about that as she had already accepted him and was planning to kidnap him if he continued trying to tickle her heart.

After putting the plates on the small dining table for four people, the two of them started to eat their breakfast when suddenly, Yan Xiaoran's phone lit up.

Staring at the phone, Yan Xiaoran excused herself, "Sorry, I need to take this call." As she said that, she picked up the phone, "Hello?"

She didn't stand up and leave the table as she answered the phone. Alexander also didn't voice out any complaints about having their time together interrupted by that call as he continued to eat.

"Lady Boss, I just sent the money to the Zhao enterprise." Vaness Gao said from the other side of the phone. He was part of the special team that Yan Xiaoran created.

Last year, Yan Xiaoran started to invest in the Zhao enterprise and buy some of the shares of the company. Naturally, this was a part of her plan. She intended to get her enemies closer to her so that she can bring them down to their lowest along with the things they treasured.

Yan Xiaoran looked at Alexander before she opened her mouth, "Alright. Is there anything else?"

Vaness Gao looked down at the paper on the table and replied, "Well… The president of the Zhao enterprise wanted to see Madam X and thank her personally. What should I tell them?"

The Madam X that he was talking about was none other Yan Xiaoran who decided to use that name as an alias to avoid beating the bush and scaring the snakes away.

Honestly, Vaness Gao couldn't understand what his Lady Boss was planning by not using her real name when she invested in the Zhao enterprise but as her subordinate, he couldn't raise his question in the air and ask for an answer.

Whatever his Lady Boss was planning, Vaness Gao already decided to follow her orders without a second thought.

Yan Xiaoran twirled the fork in her hand and smiled, "Accept it."

Vaness Gao was surprised at her reply as he was thinking that Yan Xiaoran would refuse to meet them since she was using an alias but it seems that he was wrong.

"Okay, I'll send them an answer now." He said and Yan Xiaoran hangs upon him.

Just as she was about to continue eating her food, she heard Alexander speaking in a cold voice: "You look like you're in a good mood."

She looked up and nodded. Yan Xiaoran was indeed feeling good after hearing that she would soon meet her enemies. She grinned while thinking about what kind of face will Zhao Shuxin show in front of her.

"Is it a man?" Asked Alexander who put his knife down but didn't let go of it. Instead, he held it tightly when he heard Yan Xiaoran's reply.

"Yes."

Somehow, her simple answer got Alexander narrowing his eyes at her.

Smiling at her, he asked, "Where does he live?" He sounded as if he was innocently asking a simple question but inside, he couldn't wait to beat up the crap out of this 'man' who somehow made his woman be in a good mood.

Tilting her head in confusion, Yan Xiaoran frowned. "Uh.. why are you asking?"

"Hm?" He smiled with his eyes, "Nothing. It's just that you seemed to be so happy after the call. And I thought it would be a good idea to give a reward to that man."

Yan Xiaoran blinked her eyes at him. Her long eyelashes fluttered like the wings of cicadas. With the way he was looking at her, Yan Xiaoran would be a fool if she didn't understand why he was asking her this and why he was acting like he swallowed a thousand needles.

Putting down her fork, she leaned forward. She found Alexander adorable as she teasingly asked him, "Are you jealous?"

Yan Xiaoran found nothing wrong as Alexander took a sip from his water glass but before she could think that everything was fine, she saw him standing up and walk to her side.

Yan Xiaoran was nervous at his actions and looked at him in panic. She was afraid that Alexander will throw her back to the bed and do things that could keep her from going to the office.

She stared at him with wide eyes and said, "Wha… what is it---"

She hadn't even finished her words when suddenly... Alexander leaned forward, trapping her with both his arms before he used one hand to grab the back of her head as he kissed her lips.

He still had the water inside his mouth when he kissed her.

Yan Xiaoran was caught off guard and her face flushed red. She was forced to drink the water inside his mouth and taste his tongue. Supposedly, she should be disgusted but she found the taste of his lips addicting.

After he slightly pulled away, Yan Xiaoran asked him, "What are you doing?"

"You looked thirsty so, I had to give you some water." He saw her mouth agape in disbelief and not waiting for her to say anything, he continued, "Besides, why should I be jealous when I have you with me?"
