Zhang Shi watched as the two high ranking officers continued to shower Zhao Shuxin and Yu Jin Yan with smiles and compliments.

The profusely apologized as if the two females were not criminals who needed to be interrogated and lock them up. Instead, they treated them like they were some deity that needed to be worshipped and offered snacks to.

Knitting his eyebrows, Zhang Shi looked around the police station and saw that everyone didn't look like they were bothered by what had just happened. Even the chief officer who told them to apprehend Zhao Shuxin and Yu Jin Yan acted as if he didn't order it and was now acting as the best host in the world!

How shameless!

Zhang Shi wished he could make a ruckus and scream at them. They were all acting like clowns but how could he make things right? How could he make them listen to him that Zhao Shuxin and Yu Jin Yan belonged to a murderous family when this was how the world normally move?

No matter how injustice and unfair things are, unless you have the power and money to move things or people around, you can never change anything.

Even heinous criminals could get away without answering to the law because they could buy their freedom. They could even buy the law with their money without even blinking or feel guilty about it.

And just like ten years ago, when his mother and sister died from injustice, no one would seek justice for him.

No one would give him the desire to move on.

Ten years ago, Zhang Shi was just a college student when he lost his mother and sister in a car accident. It was a gruesome way to die as their remains were all bloody and their body was mutilated that he couldn't even recognize them anymore.

His loss took a lot of things from him. Zhang Shi thought that his world fell apart.

And the only string that held him up was the fact that the driver who killed his mother and sister was Zhao Chung, Zhao Shuxin's uncle.

He tried to file a complaint and make Zhao Chung pay for his crime. He had the evidence to support him. The CCTV footage of the accident was his proof to make him pay.

But who knew that when he tried to get a copy of the footage, the video was nowhere to be found. As if the accident didn't happen at all, everything that could give him a chance to win the case disappeared.

Eventually, the complaint against Zhao Chung was thrown away and the Zhao family approached him. They gave him financial assistance in the name of charity and not as the only family member left to mourn the people Zhao Chung killed.

Of course, Zhang Shi refused their assistance and tried to attack Zhao Chung but he was beaten up by several men.

Feeling the pain throbbing in his knees, Zhang Shi wanted to cry. He lost his kneecap after that beating he received years ago.

Walking out of the station in disgust, Zhang Shi wanted to go out for a smoke when a hand stopped him the shoulder.

"Hey, bro. Don't worry too much about this matter. The two sirs earlier will finish things up soon anyway so you shouldn't take it too hard." Officer Gao offered to make him feel better.

However, Zhang Shi was an inch away from punching him.

Gritting his teeth and clenching his fists hard, Zhang Shi stepped away from him and said, "Right. I won't. I'm sure the two sirs would get what they came here for."

Actually, they will get even more than what they came here for. Zhang Shi smiled at that thought. Replacing two high ranking officers shouldn't be too hard if it was done by Madam X.

Zhang Shi went inside the patrol car and pulled out his phone.

He dialed a number and pressed the phone to his ear when the call connected, "Madam X."

Walking down a corridor, Yan Xiaoran waved her hand to urge Alexander to walk without her when she got the call.

"Hello, Mr. Zhang." She said and pressed her back against the wall. "I hope you're doing well. How's my dear sister snd mother?"

"They're currently being treated like # royalty." Zhang Shi replied with a huff, "Commissioner Li Wang and Constable Huo Yan arrived at the station. They're currently having a conversation. Maybe, even a party at the moment."

Twirling a strand of hair, Yan Xiaoran laughed. "They really have the Lady of Luck by their side."

"This isn't a laughing matter, Madam X." Zhang Shi frowned. "The Zhao family will get away at this rate. Our plan will not work if this continues."

Their plan was simple. Deliver the evidence and make the police and the court of justice do their job.

However, things looked like it wasn't going well since the Zhao family has connections with the officers who should've taken the criminals away.

"If your plan fails. I'll do things my own way this time." Zhang Shi glared ahead as if he could see the Zhao family in front of him. He wanted to kill them and he will if this plan fails.

"Zhang Shi, you're worrying too much." Yan Xiaoran turned to her side and saw Alexander walking back towards her. "Do you really think I don't have a plan B?"

"And what if it fails?"

Alexander stopped when he reached her and raised a questioning brow. He didn't like to walk by himself.

Raising her hand and pulling him by his necktie, Yan Xiaoran met his eyes and said, "If plan B won't work. We'll go with plan C and then, plan D. We can follow how the alphabet and numbers go."

"That is why… just sit still and wait for the good news. You'll get what you want soon." She ended the call and placed her hand on Alexander's chest.

"Does that also mean I'll get my reward soon?" Alexander suddenly asked which made her laugh.

"Maybe?" She shrugged.
